My suspicions of his identity became clear and I was confused beyond
comprehension.
Nagato Uzumaki shouldn't exist in this timeline as he was yet to be born. Infact it was three years earlier than his birthday. I don't exactly the time but he was born but I was sure that the fourth Hokage and Kushina were both Eight years older than him.
I was overworking my brain to come up with solutions to this situation. It all comes down to three possibilities.
First this world is an alternate universe and the events that occurs on this universe might not be one hundred percent aligned with the original timeline I was familiar with.
But this is very low possiblity considering there is no deviation in the history in the elemental nations and the history of the Uzumaki clan not that I was familiar with History of the clan in the main timeline because they were not explored well and introduced the whole clan apart from few people.
This theoty can not be ruled out as I have not seen the point of view of Konoha or the history of Konoha since they were the focus or the main characters of the story.
The second theory is the direct time travel through the Dragon veins in Roran in the Land of wind. That place which can cause space-time rift and can send people in the past or the future. In the movies it was sealed by the fourth Hokage but seeing mukade open it means it was not hard for pain to open it.
Also nobody knows how long you will be able to travel to the past. Naruto and Yamato travelled twenty years in to the past while the rogue ninja of the sand travelled more than that. It can be said to be random but nobody knows.
The Dragon vein has infinite chakra and it has very many uses. I don't know why the author didn't use it much. Maybe it was not canon. But this is a real world, not a fiction anymore. So I gotta expect even the fillers to be Canon let alone movies.
Nagato has more than enough abilities to crack down the methods used by the fourth Hokage. Simply he can absorb the seal of it's chakra or the entire formation just like the rogue of the sand village mukade.
This is the most likely way Nagato used to appear in the past by absorbing the seal completely.
The third way is also one of the most unlikely way, that is getting the relic of the Otsutsuki ' Karakuri Puppet Vessel ' which taps into the temporal powers of the Otsutsuki's. Basically the time isn't aligned well considering Nagato's age.
And if he came to the past like Sasuke and Boruto then we are cooked. We can't handle an Otsutsuki at this time. In the entire elemental nations, no one can stand against a foe at the level of the six paths power
level.
The most likely option is between one and two. And I bet it is the second option because he seems to know me well and he is been glaring at me from the beginning until now. I have been his main focus others were just collateral damage.
If he knows me then he is not from this era because there is no like him from the village and there is no other Nagato like him and that eliminates the first option because he is not yet born.
There was slight pause in his motion and he most likely saw me dazed and lost in thought.
He said as he was glaring me " I never expected you to be this coward in my whole life time " this proves my thought process and he knows me personally.
I replied trying to be naive " who are you and what do you want from us " I was cursing inward and I was hoping I was not his enemy.
He replied " Honestly I don't want anything from you guys rather I just want to beat you up and have you remember a lifetime hell of a beating today " I laughed dryly with caution.
I said " I never saw you what kind of do you have against me " he laughed loudly and chuckled little bit.
He said " You might not know me but I know and I have some kind of big grudge against you and yes I know it is not fair for you but it is for me " as he move towards me.
I got ready for any kind of attack but he didn't have any intention of attacking me.
He said " I know you can run pretty fast and escape from me but can others escape if you escape. Look behind you " as he gestured behind my back.
I saw Shinsui who was getting knocked out from the back of his head by clone of Nagato. And all my friends chained up together by his chains. He was practically blackmailing me.
He was quite fast in his moves as he moved faster than I could and he did all of that without making noises or me being alarmed. He was prepared.
He said " You can escape and leave them behind as your collateral damage or you put chakra suppression seals on your body and I let them go " If I did as he said then I am just devil fruit user that is handcuffed with seastones. Just that I don't become immediately weak but I can't use my chakra hence incapable of escaping.
I followed his order since I didn't feel an ounce of killing intent towards me but I could see malicious intent in his eyes and he was smirking.
I said " Are you a pervert or pedophile. What do you want from me " while guarding up.
He frowned and his expression turned ugly as he said " Your words are unpleasant and am not what you are talking about. Besides you won't fool me as I can see your chakra levels and strength as clearly. But I abuse you seriously and you will remember for a lifetime. You may call it child abuse or whatever but this is once in lifetime chance for me and I won't miss beating you. I will make you know why you named me Pain. " I got goosebumps all over my body and I felt like I was wronged.
He was getting excited to beat me. I don't know what I have done to him but he seems to have a big grudge against him.
I was still on guard even when I didn't have chakra but before I knew what was going on I saw an upper cut to my chin. He was not using ninja techniques or dojutsu. He seems to want beat with his fists to feel it.
