Chapter 49 - ready Monster leader

While returning to the hotel, the Monster Leader was waiting for news from his army, which he had sent to destroy the village, but more than a week had passed and no news came from them. He called his servant and said: "Where are the soldiers I sent? Why haven't they returned yet?"

The servant replied: "I sent scouts to find out what happened."

The leader said: "I cannot imagine that my army was defeated, especially since I sent a Lich with them, and he was very smart. I don't think humans could defeat him."

The servant replied: "Yes, I think so too."

After a few moments, a scout entered shouting. The leader's assistant scolded him: "Why are you shouting? Show respect; you are in front of the leader."

The leader stopped him and said: "It's okay, let him speak."

The scout said: "Sir, all the soldiers you sent have been killed, and even the Lich was defeated. I found his body scattered everywhere."

The assistant was shocked: "How could our army be defeated? I don't know anyone who could defeat a Lich in this village."

The leader said: "It seems someone interfered in our war. We must be very careful from now on."

Then the leader asked his assistant: "How many soldiers do we currently have?"

The assistant replied: "There are 7,000 soldiers ready for battle."

The leader said: "Good. Tell them to be prepared. Soon we will begin executing our plan."

Meanwhile, while the Monster Leader was organizing his army and drawing up his plan, the nobles were unaware, arguing only over power and wealth.

At another hotel, after Kairos finished his test, he returned to Isabel and Fern's room. When he entered, Isabel asked: "How are you? Are you okay? Did you succeed?"

Mohammed remained silent for a moment and said: "Yes, I succeeded. Tomorrow we will go to the academy."

Fern and Isabel were very happy with Kairos's success. Then Kairos said: "Tonight, we will celebrate a lot."

Night came, and everyone enjoyed a delicious meal, happy. Isabel asked Kairos: "What will you choose? Learn magic or the sword?"

Kairos replied: "Why should I choose? I thought I would learn both."

Isabel said: "Yes, you will learn both, but they will focus on what you choose. Understand? For example, if you choose the sword, you will learn a little magic and the rest of your training will be swordsmanship."

While they were talking, suddenly a person appeared behind them, dressed all in black, wearing a mask covering her entire face. When the mysterious person appeared behind him, Kairos quickly drew his sword and pointed it at her, then asked: "Who are you? And why are you here?"

Kairos was surprised by her strength, as she appeared silently, without making any sound. Her stealth was perfect.

…Her stealth was perfect. If she wanted to assassinate me, she would have succeeded.

The mysterious person said: "Ah, your reaction is good, as expected from my master's son."

Kairos replied: "Who do you mean by your master? Do you mean my father?"

The mysterious person said: "Yes, he sent me here to deliver his message. He told you to choose swordsmanship at the academy."

Kairos said: "How can I trust a stranger I've never seen before?"

The mysterious person said: "You're right. I will tell you something that will make you certain I serve your father."

Then she quickly approached him and said: "I know why you are here — for revenge on your family and the nobles of the Novra Kingdom."

Then she stepped back and said: "What do you think now? Do you trust my words?"

Kairos felt anger when he remembered what happened to his family, but he controlled himself and said: "Okay, you are right."

Then he asked: "Is that all you want to say?"

The mysterious person said: "From today onward, I will be your servant. My master assigned me to serve you, and I specialize in espionage, assassination, and investigation."

Kairos asked: "Why would my father let you serve me when you seem so strong? Why didn't you stay with him? He might need you someday."

The mysterious person said: "Don't worry. There are many servants stronger than me under his command. He does not need our help. Your father is strong and does not need our assistance."
