The feast had long ended, but the tension in the air lingered like an omen. I had taken to wandering the war-damaged corridors of the fortress, hoping to clear my thoughts, but instead, I found myself pulled toward the chamber where they had piled the bodies of the fallen warlocks. There was something eerie about the room—not just the stench of death or the silence that seemed to scream—but something that gnawed at the edge of my mind, like a whisper I couldn't quite hear. I wasn't sure what drove me to do it, but I rummaged through their belongings, searching for anything, anything that might explain Ethan's power or what he planned next.

And that's when I found it.
