Alana's pov
The anger had been building inside me for days, and today, it was impossible to hold back. Adrian, for all his strength and his title as Alpha, was taking far too long to come up with a plan. I had seen it in his eyes: the hesitation, the weighing of risks, the calculating side of him that was trying to protect me, the pack, himself—whatever he was trying to protect, it was keeping him from making the decisions we needed. But I wasn't going to sit back and watch anymore. I was done waiting, done being the one to be protected. I had spent too long being a passive observer in this war, in this battle, while Adrian and the rest of them fought on. I had my own fire to fight with, my own blood running hot with the desire to lead. And today, I would make them see that.
