---
Core Story Setup
The Pen of Rewriting
A mysterious pen that allows the user to rewrite fate by altering a specific date in a person's life. It does not kill instantly like the Death Note—it changes the events leading up to that date, altering history itself.
Rules of the pen:
1. The full name of the person must be written.
2. A specific date must be mentioned—past or future.
3. Once written, the event leading to that date will change, ensuring the user's desired outcome.
4. The user can only see the first rewritten change in their mind but will never know the full ripple effect.
5. Only one person can possess the pen at a time.
Main Characters
1. Protagonist – Raito Kurogane (黒金 ライト)
A 19-year-old university student with a god complex.
Finds the pen after his father—a corrupt politician—is killed in an "accident."
Discovers its abilities and begins to rewrite the fate of criminals, politicians, and people in power.
His ultimate goal: To become the Architect of Fate.
2. Antagonist 1 – Hoshino Renji (星野 蓮司)
A 32-year-old police detective with an unparalleled ability to see patterns in human behavior.
Suspects that the unnatural deaths and sudden changes in powerful people's lives are not coincidences.
Believes in logic and justice but has a dark past that makes him willing to break rules.
Nicknamed "The Unseen Hand" in the force because he always finds a way to manipulate situations to his advantage.
3. Antagonist 2 – Yume Sazanami (夢 漣)
A mysterious 21-year-old genius hacker and information broker.
Was once an orphan experimented on by an underground organization.
Has access to nearly every classified database in Japan.
Notices strange patterns in the world's events and decides to trace them back to a single person—Raito.
Unlike Renji, she doesn't believe in justice. She simply wants to watch the game unfold.
