"Wilbur! What are you doing?! Kill these people!" Miss Bucking shrieked.
"Mom, I don't want to!" Wilbur mumbled.
Wilbur's unexpected refusal stunned Miss Bucking. It was likely the first time her simple-minded son had ever disobeyed her.
"Wilbur! Do you even know what you're saying? I'm your mother, and you're not listening to me? Are you asking for a beating?!" Miss Bucking demanded, her voice laced with disbelief and anger.
"Mom, I don't know why, I just... don't want to listen to you," Wilbur replied, his expression guileless and straightforward, which only served to infuriate Miss Bucking further.
However, Miss Bucking quickly identified the cause of Wilbur's unusual behavior. She noticed that the little girl riding the lion was standing too close to Wilbur, and more importantly, Wilbur was still standing directly on top of the black paint pattern.
Understanding dawned on Miss Bucking.
"So that's what happened to Wilbur! It's you, you brat! Quickly erase that pattern!" Miss Bucking threatened, pointing a shaky finger at Marie.
"Didn't you find it hilarious just now, Comedy Old Hag?" Marie retorted calmly, her composure unwavering.
This only intensified Miss Bucking's fury. She recalled how her son Wilbur had managed to sever the arm of the former Marine Admiral Zephyr, yet this child, barely old enough to understand the world, showed no fear whatsoever. It was utter contempt!
Furthermore, Wilbur was too dense to fall for such a childish trick!
"In that case, I'll do it myself!" Miss Bucking snarled, taking a step forward.
But before she could move, numerous hands sprouted from her body, instantly restraining all four of her limbs and torso.
"Twenty Fleur! Miss Bucking, you'd best stay still, or I might just snap your head off," Robin stated calmly, crossing her arms in front of her.
This time, Miss Bucking remained motionless, her struggles futile against Robin's Devil Fruit power.
Seeing this, Zoro, Sanji, and Law finally let out a collective sigh of relief. They had been racking their brains for a way to stall, knowing that even their combined strength was no match for Wilbur's raw power. Fortunately, their crew possessed a unique ally who could resolve such predicaments with a single, clever move.
"Well done, Robin! And Marie, you were amazing!" Chopper exclaimed, his voice filled with admiration.
Zangief, Bepo, Little Three, and Jinbe couldn't help but smile, joining Chopper in praising their resourceful companions.
Sanji, on the other hand, wore a smug expression. Marie was his former partner, and he knew better than anyone the potential of her Devil Fruit ability, even if their current relationship seemed a bit distant.
Still, she was his sister. Marie's victory reflected well on him!
Meanwhile, Carl, locked in a fierce battle with Jack, momentarily faltered, glancing towards the port with surprise and a hint of a smile in his eyes.
Throughout his fight with Jack, Carl's Observation Haki had been actively monitoring the entire capital of Water Seven, with a particular focus on the port area. The moment Wilbur and Miss Bucking appeared, Carl was aware of their presence and had even picked up their conversation through radio waves.
A wave of anxiety had washed over Carl at that point. This Wilbur was undeniably strong, and even a formidable figure like Zephyr had lost an arm to him. While Zephyr's age or other factors might have played a role, the fact remained that his arm was gone. Carl knew that Zoro and the others, with their current strength, were likely no match for Wilbur.
He had to hurry back!
However, Jack seemed to sense the shift in Carl's focus and suddenly intensified his attacks, forcefully pulling Carl back into the fray.
Carl's Observation Haki registered the intense killing intent that had flared within him when Zoro, Sanji, and Law were seriously injured. The sheer force of it had even made Jack shiver in apprehension.
Fortunately, Marie had resolved the situation.
Now that the port was safe, Carl decided it was time to teach the one who had been holding him back a painful lesson.
Carl's anger now focused entirely on Jack. His figure blurred as he swiftly dodged the mammoth's swinging trunk. Gripping his obsidian blade with both hands, he watched as electric arcs crackled across its surface, and Armament Haki coiled around it like a living shadow.
The immense power building within the blade made Jack tremble with fear.
"You weren't going to let me go, were you? In that case, take this!" Carl roared.
"Hakoku: Thor Breaks the Sun!"
The obsidian blade slashed forward, unleashing a shockwave intertwined with streaks of purple-black lightning that hurtled towards the mammoth.
Jack's eyes widened in alarm. It was too late to evade; the shockwave slammed directly into his abdomen. But the next instant, a look of utter horror flashed across Jack's bestial features as searing pain ripped through his body.
The shockwave carried not only terrifying thunder but also the pervasive force of Armament Haki and the destructive power of Conqueror's Haki.
Why is this kid using Conqueror's Haki coating and Armament Haki?! Jack thought frantically. Boss Kaido never mentioned anything about this!
But regret was a futile emotion now. The shockwave had already pierced through Jack's abdomen, and the lightning seized the opportunity to surge into his body, wreaking havoc on his internal organs. Simultaneously, Conqueror's Haki ravaged his once-impenetrable physique, and Armament Haki tore through his meridians and muscles.
"Aaaaargh! It hurts! So much!" Jack screamed, the sound raw and agonizing, echoing across almost the entire capital of Water Seven.
The people of Water Seven paused in their activities, momentarily stunned by the horrifying cry, unsure of its origin.
As the shockwave dissipated, Jack reverted to his human-beast form, collapsing powerlessly to the ground. Even now, residual lightning and Armament Haki continued to ravage his body, inflicting excruciating pain.
"Indeed, one of the three Disasters of the Beasts Pirates. Not dead yet," Carl remarked with a faint smile, his tone almost conversational.
But such praise sounded like a cruel mockery in Jack's ears.
As one of Kaido's top subordinates, Jack was undeniably a powerhouse. His incredible durability allowed him to face even Marine Admirals without fear. His Armament Haki defense was equally formidable; otherwise, his raw physical strength alone wouldn't be enough to withstand the attacks of his powerful adversaries.
However, today marked a crushing defeat. His physical resilience and Armament Haki, capable of withstanding even advanced Armament Haki attacks, were utterly useless against the application of Conqueror's Haki coating.
Carl also breathed a sigh of relief at Jack's miserable state. It was the use of Conqueror's Haki that had finally broken through Jack's defenses, and the subsequent onslaught of Armament Haki and his Devil Fruit ability had inflicted such grievous injuries.
Even for someone as resilient as Jack, these wounds would sideline him for a considerable time, preventing him from causing any further trouble.
And after this brutal encounter, a shadow of fear would undoubtedly linger in Jack's heart. Carl doubted he would dare to attack the Straw Hats again anytime soon.
However, Carl wasn't inclined to let Jack off so easily. Since he had come seeking trouble with his crew, he should at least leave something behind.
Perhaps an arm, a leg, or even his head!
Jack, sensing the dangerous glint in Carl's eyes, was seized by panic. With the last vestiges of his strength, he plunged into the sea.
Carl was momentarily surprised, but then his blade flashed out, striking with precision. A sickening thwack echoed as his obsidian blade connected with Jack's left wrist. A bloodcurdling scream ripped from Jack's throat as his wrist snapped, and he tumbled into the churning water, disappearing beneath the waves in moments.
