Because Lin Feng and Xiao Yixian were only about a kilometer away from the Dou Zun space—and because they used several advanced movement-type Dou Techniques—they practically reached the entrance in the blink of an eye.

As they passed through the opening in the spatial barrier, Lin Feng suddenly felt a probing force sweep over him.

However, he immediately released a wave of energy that pushed the force back.

That probing energy seemed to have completed its task and quickly withdrew without further reaction.

"That power you felt was a detection method left behind by the Dou Zun expert. If it detects any force carrying the aura of a Dou Zun, it might trigger the detonation of the entire space. Given how powerful this Dou Zun was, if this space explodes, even I—in my prime—might suffer a heavy injury," Tian Huo Zun Zhe's solemn voice sounded in Lin Feng's mind.

"No wonder that Dou Zun from Earth Force Sect and those from the Western Desolate Region didn't dare to act rashly. Seems they were wary of this mechanism too," Lin Feng nodded in understanding.

But just as he passed through the barrier, a wave of vertigo hit him—his surroundings spinning wildly, plunging into darkness.

By the time he recovered his senses, he found himself in the middle of a completely unfamiliar forest.

Suddenly thrust into an unknown place, Lin Feng immediately scanned his surroundings.

And what he saw shocked him.

This area was the complete opposite of the scorching desert outside.

As far as the eye could see, towering ancient trees reached toward the sky.

High above, between the dense canopy of intertwined branches, the occasional flying Magic Beast soared by.

It was a lush, vibrant paradise—filled with birdsong and the scent of blooming flora.

"I didn't expect this Dou Zun expert to be such a romantic. Creating a secluded paradise like this in the middle of the Western Wastelands desert... not bad at all."

Lin Feng turned his head with a smile.

"Right, Xiao Yixian?"

But when he turned—he froze.

Beside him… was nothing. No sign of Xiao Yixian.

"Damn it! This Dou Zun space actually separated us!"

The moment he realized he had lost sight of her, a surge of anxiety struck him—and some regret as well.

"If I'd known this would happen, I should've held her hand when we entered. Maybe then, we wouldn't have been split apart."

He sighed, scolding himself.

"I guess my experience with relic exploration is still too shallow. Once this is over, I really should make time to train in more dangerous places…"

Looking at the empty space beside him, Lin Feng could only shake his head with a wry smile.

"Well, no point fretting now. I can't find her, so I'll just have to start exploring this Dou Zun Ruins on my own. Xiao Yixian is an Eight-Star Dou Zong after all.

And with the puppet and other tools I gave her, even if she runs into a Nine-Star Dou Zong, she should be able to put up a good fight—so long as she doesn't unleash her Woeful Poison Body."

After a moment, he let out a long sigh, trying to reassure himself.

But then, his brows suddenly furrowed.

"Strange. Even if I was momentarily distracted by the scenery here, I should've sensed Xiao Yixian's presence by now. Why can't I feel anything from her?"

Lin Feng immediately grew more cautious, as a faint sense of wrongness crept over him.

His instincts screamed that something wasn't right.

He turned around to check behind him.

What he saw was the same as what lay ahead—dense, emerald-green forest stretching as far as the eye could see.

The entrance… had completely vanished.

"As expected. In front of a Dou Zun expert's methods, we Dou Zong are nothing more than ants."

Gazing at the vast, seemingly endless forest behind him, Lin Feng muttered to himself.

"Be careful, Lin Feng. From what I can tell, there's something very strange about this space. But I can't quite pinpoint what it is. The one who set this up is far stronger than I ever was… But no matter what, you must stay extremely alert!"

Tian Huo Zun Zhe's voice carried a rare hint of caution and seriousness.

Just as Lin Feng was frowning in confusion, Tian Huo Zun Zhe's solemn voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

It was the first time Lin Feng had ever heard the old man speak in such a serious tone.

Clearly, the old man had sensed something—something even he couldn't fully comprehend.

"Got it. I'll be careful."

Lin Feng nodded, his expression growing grim.

As he spoke, a vast surge of soul power flowed from the center of his brow, sweeping outward like ocean waves under his control, spreading rapidly in all directions.

In an unknown place like this, using soul power to scout the surroundings was the safest option.

After all, no one could say for sure what kind of dangers might be lurking within.

However, just as his soul power extended to a distance of less than a hundred meters, it was suddenly—and violently—repelled.

Not only that, but the backlash followed the trail of his own soul power and came hurtling back at him!

Seeing this, Lin Feng instantly rallied his powerful high seventh-tier soul power, preparing to block the incoming counterattack.

In the blink of an eye, two invisible soul powers collided head-on.

BOOM!

A thunderous blast rang out, shaking one's very spirit—it sounded like muffled thunder bursting from the depths of the soul.

The moment it exploded, a storm of destruction swept through the surrounding forest.

All the towering ancient trees within a hundred meters were reduced to flying splinters in an instant.

The invisible storm howled outward, ripping through the forest. Even trees much farther away were blown sideways, trembling violently.

As for the nearby Magic Beasts that had narrowly escaped death, they screeched in fear and flapped away into the distance.

"Ugh!"

A muffled grunt escaped Lin Feng's throat.

His face turned pale, and his body was sent skidding backward for over ten meters before he finally managed to stabilize himself.

Clearly, the soul clash had taken a toll on him.

"What the…? Even with my high seventh-tier soul, I was completely overpowered?"

As he recovered, Lin Feng rubbed his throbbing forehead and let out a bitter laugh.

"You'd best be extra cautious, this Dou Zun's strength far exceeds mine at my peak. Even I can't unravel most of the tricks he's left behind. And judging from my experience exploring ancient ruins over the years, I'd say… very few people who entered this place will make it out alive."

Tian Huo Zun Zhe's tone was tinged with helplessness.

Before they came in, he had planned to show off a bit in front of Lin Feng. After all, back in his day, he had cultivated for hundreds of years and reached the peak of Five-Star Dou Zun, exploring numerous dangerous relics along the way.

Who would've thought this particular relic's owner would be such a nightmare…

"Mm."

Lin Feng nodded, then let out a slow breath. He pushed off the ground with his toe, ascending into low altitude flight.

As he soared, he closely observed the forest floor, flying toward the direction he had chosen.

The journey was relatively peaceful.

Aside from spotting the occasional low-rank flying Magic Beast, nothing particularly dangerous occurred during the half hour of travel.

BOOM!

Suddenly, a burst of noise exploded from somewhere up ahead—the sounds of Dou Techniques clashing and fierce combat echoed through the forest.

"Huh? Didn't expect to run into other people exploring this soon."

Lin Feng came to a halt, a flicker of surprise flashing in his eyes.

He had assumed it would take longer to encounter other entrants.

After a brief moment of thought, he moved again—his figure disappearing into the trees as he dashed swiftly toward the source of the battle.
