The sight of his claws and fangs only confirmed what she had already known. He was a vampire. Her fury toward him—and toward Lord Magnus—intensified.
With the gap between them quickly shrinking, she realized there was no room left to fire another shot. Without hesitation, she shifted her stance, and her weapon responded—morphing and splitting in half until she held a dagger in each hand.
The moment he saw the transformation, he halted, eyes narrowing as he reassessed her.
