Chapter 183 - You’re Thirty Minutes Late

"Shantel Hale?"

She stopped and slowly turned. Her eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of the stranger standing before her. He was tall, lean, and wore that characteristic confident nonchalance only men with power or privilege could wear. 

Dressed in a charcoal gray coat, with a rakish smile and eyes as sharp as razors beneath their charming warmth, he seemed oddly familiar. 

"And who's asking?" she replied, quickly concluding her quick assessment of the man standing before her. Could he be Old Carter's grandson? But she couldn't see any resemblance between him and old Carter. 

Domonic smiled, secretly wondering about the coincidence of meeting Richard's woman here when he was to meet the woman arranged by Richard's grandfather for him. That was quite a narrow escape for Richard. 

"Dominic… Carter," he quickly added in case the lady he was to meet would overhear their conversation. So far he hadn't seen anyone who seemed to be waiting for him…no, Old Carter's grandson.
