Jihoon had been getting better these days, now able to move about with light exercises, managing most things on his own.
The stiffness in his body had noticeably lessened, and the sharp pain had dulled to an occasional throb. Still, as with any other day, Ryul showed up early in the morning, as though it were the most natural thing to do.
"Are you… okay being here?"
Jihoon murmured, watching the man set a bag down on the table.
"Why? You don't want me to come anymore?" Ryul replied with an arched brow.
"You know it's not like that…"
Jihoon protested at the unfair accusation.
"I mean… aren't you busy?"
He often found himself wondering how Ryul was even managing his own work with all his time spent as a caregiver.
Ever since the day Jihoon opened his eyes after the crash, the man had been by his side almost without fail. The thought warmed him, but guilt also made its way just as quickly.
