As we got closer there was this eerie and mysterious sound heard .I could not decipher the voice I heard?Are they real or is it just my imagination?
The guards were not scared either maintaining their stern face with no emotions seen.We reached to a large hole very deep when the guards looked at me and said we are sorry.I was still trying to process what the sorry was for when the guards Immediately, pushed me to the hole.
I screamed closing my eyes to my fate when I noticed that I could not move.I looked up and saw that my cloth was stuck in the wall which was stuck on something Thats when I observed my surroundings but I could not see a thing .Everywhere was pitch black.Fear of the unknown overwhelmed me.Soon enough,I saw birds flying with fire on their body.I bent my head with some touching my body.Through those fire I was able to see that I was stuck near the wall and the wall had glass and stone embedded on it with the sharp edges protruding outward.I couldn't think of anything,I just know that it was just to wait for death.I waited for a long while and before I knew it,I dozed off.In that dream,I met a woman exactly like me .She patted my back and hugged me.I cried as she hugged me.
As I was crying,she looked at me and said I know you have tried.Do not lose hope for your glory is near.I kept crying when I woke up.As I woke up ,I had this scary ,deep voice being echoed in the dungeon.At this point,it looked like an energy was transfused to my body .I won't give up,I said to myself.I started using my hands to find the nearest place I could hold on to.As I Searched with my hands .I finally found a long object bigger than others embedded so deep in the wall.I hold on to it while I used the other hand to find another stable thing I could hold on to.As I did it my clothes kept tearing from where it was stucked.As I found the second place to hold on to,my clothes which stucked on something tore .I held on to the two anchor I had in a bid to balance myself but I slipped and fell straight to the floor alongside my anchor .I hit the floor with a loud bang.My body bearing the consequences owing to the ache I felt over my body.I screamed so loud in a bid to voice out my frustrations but then I heard another sound scarier than before,closer than ever.I lowered my voice and stood up.I started limping forward knowing if I could find an escape route but I could not see properly.As I limped to take another step,I saw many birds flying in different directions with fire on their body as it burnt them to death.My heart flew.My jaws clenched,my eyes furrowed,my eyes wide looking for the impending doom .Then I saw fire coming out from a part of the dungeon.I went nearer to it and I heard a loud voice saying Run.I said who are you?Then a giant dragon came,I rushed back ,trembling as I fell on the floor.The dragon then said daring,laughed out loud and said run!It then spit out fire saying again run!.I ran as fast as I could with the dragon chasing me with it's fire.I ran to a small cave where I saw a dead body I shouted and tried to remove my clothes stocked on an old chair.I tried and tried,just when the fire touched my leg,the clothes removed and I entered the cage.The Dragon laughed and said let us rest for a bit and left.I was breathing fast crying from the pain I felt due to the burn on my leg.I tore a piece of my clothes and closed the wound.I closed my eyes as I closed the wound .My body vibrating in pain as I shouted.I decided to enter deeper into the cave for fear that's the dragon may come back later.As I tried to enter deeper,I saw that the cave was not something I could enter like that,the place was narrow.I had no other alternative,so I had to find a way.I decided to crawl into the cave.My body beign bruised by the wall as I crawled.I strained as I entered the cave crying in a low tune in fear that I may anger the dragon.I finally reached a the end of the narrow path which led to a place of butterflies with lights on their body.The place was beautiful and was well visible.For the first time I had a good view of this place.This was when I remembered that I was thirsty,so I looked around for a river but found none.Instead I saw water dropping from a stone on top of the walls.I had to go but there was another problem,the walls were tall and made of crystals.I looked around and that's when I saw an iron curved crown.It must be from one of the victims of the dungeon.I used it to climb the crystal wall, slowly taking my step till I reached the top.I drank from the stone closing my eyes to the comfort it brought to my throat.It was like a pump of energy was given to me.Soon I felt like I was feeling heat only to look up and Lo and behold it was the dragon about to pour it fire.Not thinking of anything I jumped landing on the ground.The dragon then laughed and said Smart.It then turned and fly out again.Immediately,I breathed out deciding to take a quick nap.
Meanwhile king Aethon was pacing around in his room disturbed.Even though he wanted to make the moon goddess regret her decision.A part of him wished he had withdrawn his statement.As he thinks now,he wished ,he did not send her as there were more other ways of punishing her.No one had ever made it out of the jungle alive except him .Even the strongest of wolves had died in the dungeon.His heart ache as he remembered wondering what was the fate of twinkle.Has the dragon burnt her.In his state of dilemma,he
heard a knock from his door and by the pattern of the knock,he knew it was his beta Davis.Come in king Aethon said.His beta could see that the king was worried.He knew in his heart that from the first day the King and twinkle met,there was a chemistry.The king was not someone to occupy himself with a girl's every action but this girl changed something.He had known King Aethon from childbirth and could tell that this girl is going to be his best friend saviour.Even in the pretence of the king's cold attitude to her,Davis knew there was something going on.He decided to confirm his thoughts by teasing the king.Were you expecting some one?Davis asked .The king looked at him so sarcastically.
What do you mean ,king Aethon asked?
He knew that at this point,he should tread with caution else he might be the next scape goat.Davis then slowly said You know you can save her and you are not answerable to anyone.The king out of frustration told him get out now with his alpha tone.With the kings tone and his eyes flicking,his wolf and demon struggling to efface.Davis did not need another person to tell him that at this point he had overstayed his welcome .He knew any more word from his mouth may bring serious consequences.So,he left .King Aethon knew that what his beta Davis said was true but his pride was killing him.A king's word can never be withdrawn.
He had never bent for anyone even his mother and twinkle was not going to be an exception to this.He really wanted to win the bet between him and the moon goddess three years ago.
He remembered 10 years watching his first mate die in his hands and of all days their wedding night.A tears of drop fell from his eyes.As if that was not okay,5 years later he was forced to marry a girl in order to continue the bloodline and fulfill his role as an Alpha king.I laughed mockingly,just when I had given her my love, after years of cold treatment,but what did she do?She made a fool of me leaving me in a state of mockery.Her chapter was a story for another day,I said to myself not willing to remember that awful memories that kept me awake all night.What added to my misery was that despite her betrayal that led to the death of my father,brother and sister.I couldn't bring myself to kill her.I struggled so much to bring our pack back to where it was ,making our pack the strongest and able to fight my position in beign the Alpha king.
As an Alpha king,there is one opportunity that was given to us and is to speak to the moon goddess.The first thing I did was to give her my heart .By doing that,I knew my heart cannot and will never beat for anyone else but instead she told me the true one will make my heart beat again even without a heart.She will be your heart for it is only love that can conquer hatred.It is only the light of love that can conquer darkness from hatred.I laughed at her making a bet with her that it will never happen.I further mocked her asking her where she was when she gave me a mate that was dying.I was surprised that she did not punish me .I guessed she also knows that I was not lying.
I had forgotten about that incident long time ago and even found a mistress to conquer my desires and my demon but the presence of twinkle reminded me of that incident.I do not know but one thing I was sure is that there was something she stirred in me which I have not been able to place.My mind drifted to twinkle,one of the things I love about her was her confidence.I remembered how she sarcastically replied to me that morning.Her ability to question me even when she knew the consequences.No one had ever done that but a mere human like her broke that rule .I guess that's what drew me to her,I concluded.Anyway let's see how smart the moon goddess is and how she will save her.
