Isabella stood at the bottom of the stairs with a confused look on her face.
Everyone in the room was watching her now.
Lilith tilted her head slightly. "Where are they?"
Isabella gave a slow shrug, her tone unsure. "Ethan said he'll be down in a few minutes… but I couldn't find the twins."
A pause.
Seraphina blinked. "What do you mean you couldn't find them?"
"They weren't in the hallway. Not in the bathroom. Not in the bedroom either—or at least, not where I could see them.
The lights were off, and it didn't feel like anyone was inside. I knocked and waited, but no answer."
Liliana raised an eyebrow. "They're probably messing around somewhere."
But Lilith didn't answer right away.
She narrowed her eyes.
So did Velmora.
Elowen's expression shifted, too, her body straightening slightly.
The room went still.
And without a word between them, the three older women extended their senses—quietly, all at once.
