Savra crossed her arms and leaned back a little.
"Now that you've brought us here, what about Vorthar?"
Zain's expression changed.
His jaw tightened slightly, and his eyes narrowed.
The room turned quiet.
Zelia glanced at him, then looked toward Savra.
Savra noticed his reaction and stepped forward.
"Zain," she asked again, "he was the vice leader of the Flame God Cult."
"He's the one who brought us in… the one who gave us power."
She paused for a moment, then asked, "What happened to him?"
Zain stayed silent for a few seconds before finally answering.
"He's dead," Zain said.
Savra's eyebrows pulled together.
Zelia slowly sat up straighter. "Dead?"
Zain nodded. "I killed him."
Both women frowned.
Savra walked a few steps toward him.
"Why?" she asked.
"He never treated us badly… He was the one who helped us get stronger. He helped us survive."
Zain looked at her with calm but firm eyes.
"You don't know what he really did."
