Hazel gave off a dark scoff " Renalanda….."
Renalanda eyes dimmed " How did you find out"
" it wasn't exactly hard now was it ? Remember the first time we met,cloak, covered, sword at your back ,I was so scared of you yet I followed you around. I loved your personality, I wanted you to be my protector. While growing we saw twice a month, we ….. and as we grew, you grew distant and always left our words, our stories on a cliffhanger and then I only saw you once in a blue moon. Then the day we came to the palace, I sensed your aura for the first time. You know I never do nor did as you came and left and I couldn't place it . That particular day we locked eyes and I saw you . Not Crown Princess, no … I saw the girl who made by life brighter with her darkness. But it was still a feeling, a suspicion and when I hit your brother, I saw MORA but only I could see it and this time I was sure but you looked nothing like IRIS"
Rena looked stunned "How?
Hazel grinned " Demon powers"
Rena raised a brow.
" I once heard Uncle Lucian and Orchid mention that only people with unique scents can uncover her" . I never understood then but now I do. The only reason I could and was able to notice you was because my demonic powers were activated and that granted me access to everything about you , it also triggered my memory".
" You didn't show it" Rena sighed.
" I wasn't dumb enough to make you notice".
" You knew my identity since when I helped you up and you said nothing! You literally watched me threaten you , insult you and you knew who I was. Really Hazel ? Were you ever going to mention it
" No , I wasn't ever going to"
" So if we never had this altercation, you'd never say anything? Rena had a broken look in her eyes.
" You watched me kill your brother and unlike me, you knew who I am from day one. So , who should be questioning who ?
They both went silent.
" Did you ever trust me Haze?
Hazel scoffed " Trust? Iris or is it Rena , did you trust me to tell me , did you trust us … or sorry, you labeled it a mistake , you knew I killed your brother. No , you watched me kill him and still came here smiling, flattering and making me feel like….. like we had something when clearly you had ulterior motives so if anything would I have been safe putting that trust in you? Trust should be the least of everything right now".
Hazel sheathed her sword and put it back .
" We clearly have a lot against each other and a long journey ahead of us yet we need each other to complete this journey. After getting our answers, we can face off ... not now".
" So ? It's all over?. Rena asked.
"What do we have left? How do I believe the way you stabbed my shoulder, my heart isn't next ? Hazel asked .
" How am I sure you aren't keeping other things from me ? You remember Uncle Lucian don't you? So what about Clan Valley?
" You never let me follow you back remember? How could I possibly? You always came to me not me coming to you"
"So what happens next Haze?
" We get our answers and go our separate ways so that when next one stabs the other, there will be no grudges left nor hard feelings".
Hazel turned to leave , stopped then walked then she heard it , the sound of an unsheathed sword and turned ,maybe she she shouldn't have as MORA went directly into her heart . She had a mixture of emotions on her face. Iris just stabbed her.... In the heart .
"I guess the trust is finally broken"Iris said with an uncertain smile.
Looking down at the sword in her chest,blood dripping down from her heart "We are finally done now aren't we? She said with a smile, one too sad , too uncaring….. just there.
Iris looked away . Hazel legs were trying to hold her up .
Iris looked at her again " How did we get here?
" You carried me here" Hazel reply subtly with an hidden smile. "You are seriously asking me that with your sword in my heart?
Iris turned cold and pushed it in , moving closer, closer, the closer she got , the more the sword was pushed in . By now Hazel was gritting her teeth , tears falling, her eyes turned weak yet she controlled her powers " You aren't going to get a reaction from me , not that easy"
Iris locked eyes with her " Without your demon powers overriding your body , you will die, your divinity powers can't save you".
Hazel clenched her fist together and Iris pushed deeper " Fearless and Undefined"
Iris countered " When darkness meets the light , this is what it looks like. Realistically, you have no chance against me"
" Ahghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" Hazel piercing screams broke all silence. "I am dying Iris"
Iris looked unbothered, then as swift as ever, she removed the sword and moved to hug her to hold her down as she fell on her shoulders.
Iris waited, noticing Hazel's breath was still, her body was turning cold , she waited but no response. She shook her, then left her and she fell to the floor , cold , lifeless. She waited.
And she turned, cleaned her sword , put it back , glanced at the girl on the floor and walked away " Goodbye old friend".

After a while , the pouch in which Hazel hid the bracelet she found began to glow but not a usual glow, it started like a flame, a normal one then it began to burn darker changing color, it grew dark and soon spread round the valley .
Iris was about to exit the entrance of the valley when it suddenly shut itself and the heat began to fill the air, slowly, praying , she turned and before she could get a word out , the fire engulfed her and then it all disappeared. Iris, the valley, everything was gone like it was never there.
