Chapter 129 - Chapter 128 He Is My Servant

Chapter 128 He Is My Servant

"So, it's useless?" After the initial shock, the Four of Diamonds glanced at the Gothic Lolita. "We're all going to die. Knowing there's a holy solution here is pointless, my foolish sister."

"Brother, if you weren't dying, I'd knock your head clean off," Yuan Zhoulu said flatly, closing his eyes to embrace death.

The explosions of flesh and blood continued relentlessly, erupting every ten seconds. The spiritual masters screamed in terror, struggling desperately—but it was futile.

In just two minutes, twelve spiritual masters had perished.

The male figure on the TV screen flickered, the black-and-white face within it slowly shutting its eyes, making it resemble a funeral portrait even more.

Mu Qingtong and Xia Feng exchanged glances.

"Can you summon the gods behind you?" Mu Qingtong transmitted silently.

"Obviously not."

Hearing the refusal, Mu Qingtong frowned slightly. It seemed she would have to reveal her trump card this time.

Stupid Mr. Xia was finally going to be saved by her. Perfect—this arrogant man would finally learn that she had held back during their last duel!

But just as she prepared to act, Xia Feng spoke again.

"But I have another method."

"..." Mu Qingtong suppressed her move, expressionless. "Next time, say everything at once. Don't pause for dramatic effect."

"That's asking a lot." Xia Feng smirked, then looked up at the darkened sky.

If this were any other evil beast, he might truly be powerless. But this tentacle monster was a deranged abomination born from He Jianzhu's corruption—not yet a stable, self-aware evil entity.

If it were a true evil, his Demon Heart wouldn't be able to absorb its power. But this mindless, crumbling monstrosity—no matter how world-ending its strength—was no match for Xia Feng.

He could easily drain every drop of evil energy from He Jianzhu's body.

There was just one problem: to absorb the evil power, he had to get close to the tentacle monster's head.

The distance was too vast. The monstrous head loomed in the night sky, its outline barely discernible. It seemed deceptively near only because of its sheer size.

Xia Feng estimated the actual distance to be at least a thousand meters—not an easy gap to close quickly. Even with the Vermilion Bird Armor's invincibility, rebirth could only occur within a fifty-meter radius.

"By the way—can you launch me into the sky?" Xia Feng turned to the odd siblings, who were still waiting for death with closed eyes.

The two opened their eyes in confusion.

"Brother, what do you mean? Is dying midair more comfortable?" the Four of Diamonds asked.

"Wow—great idea!" Yuan Zhoulu's crimson eyes gleamed. "If we're going to die, it should be beautiful! It has to be artistic!"

Xia Feng had no time for their nonsense. "I have a way to deal with the tentacle monster, but I need to reach its head."

"Huh?" The Gothic Lolita lowered her gaze, scrutinizing him with a look that screamed, Are you joking?

"Brother, I admire your ignorance and confidence," the portrait man said flatly, pointing upward. "But even a fifth-tier spiritual master might not handle that thing. Do you understand?"

"Exactly. Do you know what a Six-Eyes-level disaster even is?" Yuan Zhoulu sneered. "That said, I can send you up. But with your spiritual pressure, you'll die from my spiritual clothing before you even get there."

"Fine, fine, I get it. No time to waste—just do it." Xia Feng was exhausted just talking to them.

"Hmph! Since you're in a hurry to die, I'll send you straight to heaven!"

The Gothic Lolita snorted, aimed her dark-red cane at Xia Feng, and drew a clockwise circle in the air.

"Circle of Curse—Rocket!"

The moment the strange incantation left her lips, Xia Feng's eyes widened. A searing heat erupted beneath him—as if his backside had been set ablaze.

"Wh—WHAT THE—?!"

His furious scream tore through the air as he rocketed upward at terrifying speed, vanishing into the sky in less than a second. The others could only watch as a fiery streak shot upward, exploding in a burst of crimson light—like a morbidly celebratory firework.

Mu Qingtong's lips twitched in amusement.

"Tsk~ Told you." The Gothic Lolita shrugged as Xia Feng's body burst apart. But then she stared at the sky, red eyes gleaming. "Still, that idiot's death was quite artistic."

"Art?!" The Four of Diamonds spat. "What a disgrace to the Fang family!"

Suddenly, the world trembled. Violent winds howled as the tentacles binding everyone began shrinking, dissolving into motes of spiritual light.

The TV man toppled over, his screen flickering in confusion. "N-no—what's happening, sister?!"

"You're asking me?" The Gothic Lolita adjusted her beret, gaze fixed on the horizon. A familiar figure now hung suspended in the darkened sky.

"That guy's alive?" She narrowed her eyes at Mu Qingtong. "Your friend actually has a way?"

"Obviously." Mu Qingtong smiled faintly.

"F-F-F—!" The TV man's screen trembled in horror, as if he'd seen something unspeakable.

The two women looked up. The clouds had parted, revealing the tentacle monster's true form—a grotesque, brain-like head with octopus-like tendrils for a lower jaw, its body a writhing mass of appendages that blotted out half the sky.

The moment they saw its full face, a chorus of whispers flooded their minds—maddening, growing louder, threatening to drag them into an abyss of insanity.

Everyone shut their eyes, bowing their heads in terror.

"Damn it, I was wrong. Even a sixth-tier Venerable might not defeat this thing!" the TV man gasped.

He turned to Mu Qingtong. "Sister, you're sure your man can handle this?"

"He's not my man."

"Then what's your relationship?" The Gothic Lolita's interest was piqued.

What is our relationship? The black-clad woman smirked.

"He's my servant."

After all, outside this place, one's identity was what they made it. Mu Qingtong found the master-servant dynamic fitting.

"Servant?" The Gothic Lolita nodded, unsurprised. Many noblewomen kept male servants—often for stepping on or humiliating in various ways.

"Well, your servant's about to die for real this time." She glanced upward, noting that the man she'd launched had been swallowed by the monster.

"Don't worry. He'll handle it." Mu Qingtong shook her head. "We just have to wait."

The siblings exchanged dubious looks. Was this woman delusional?

...

Sky

To Xia Feng's surprise, He Jianzhu's body was hollow—no slippery flesh or mucus, just an endless sea of evil energy. The tentacle monster's form was merely an illusion.

Feeling perfectly fine, Xia Feng began absorbing the evil energy voraciously.

[Your mental power gains +1 Soc permanent increase]

[Your mental power increases]

After absorbing for a while, he felt completely satiated, having gained a total of 10 points of mental power.

[Current mental power: 50 Soc]

Next, he began absorbing the evil force with the Ancient Warblade, then releasing it. Repeating this process several times, the entire sea of evil force was completely drained in less than five seconds.

Meanwhile, those outside suddenly noticed the howling winds had ceased. Mu Qingtong and the other three, along with the five surviving spiritual masters whose faces were still frozen in horror, all looked upward.

The terrifying tentacle monster that had blotted out the sky was disintegrating. Countless floating black tentacles transformed into tiny spiritual lights, falling like golden rain across the world.

Finally, the monster's head shattered into fragments of light instantly. A white-clad man stood calmly with arms outstretched, bathing in the golden downpour.

Seeing this, Mu Qingtong narrowed her beautiful eyes slightly, her heart growing more perplexed. Mr. Xia, just what kind of abilities do you possess?

Not far away, the five surviving spiritual masters stared upward in terror.

The TV man raised his screen, his expression blank before condensing thousands of thoughts into one word: "Fuck!"

"What in the world...?" The Gothic Lolita stared wide-eyed, her crimson eyes filled with disbelief. It was solved... just like that? She had imagined even if it were defeated, it would require a cataclysmic battle.

Yet unexpectedly, in less than five seconds, the terrifying tentacle monster had been completely annihilated.

Not even a Venerable could accomplish this.

The Gothic Lolita shot a strange look at the black-clad woman. This woman had called that man—what was his name, Fang?—her servant?

You're telling me someone of that caliber is a servant?

Her gaze shifted to her brother. Their eyes met, and they simultaneously transmitted their voices:

"Oh no, sister! We've encountered a real heavyweight!"

"Fantastic, brother! We've met someone incredibly powerful!"

"Fantastic? This is obviously terrible!" The TV man's expression remained blank.

"Terrible? This is obviously amazing!" The Gothic Lolita rolled her eyes.

As the siblings secretly panicked and communicated telepathically, all the golden light floating through the air suddenly converged toward Xia Feng. Gradually, it coalesced into the form of a woman in a simple black dress before him.

"Found you, He Jianzhu!" Mu Qingtong lifted her delicate face, her beautiful eyes curving with satisfaction.

Meanwhile...

Thousands of meters above in the darkened sky, a pale white haloed moon hung—clearly not the real moon.

Within this moon lay a magnificent palace where an extravagant ball was underway. Elegant classical music played as gentlemen in tuxedos swayed across the dance floor with petite ladies in their arms.

On the hall's second floor, five shadowy figures lounged in a luxurious dark salon.

"The 30 ml of holy solution here is the result of our hard work," a mysterious man in the shadows declared, pushing forward a black box. "Lord Sky, we trust you'll use it wisely to cultivate truly golden-quality spirit flesh fruit!"
