Micah shifted in his seat, turning slightly so he could face Clyde more fully. "So," he began, tapping his fingers lightly on his thigh, eyes narrowing. "When are you going to tell me about your dream?"
Clyde's entire body went rigid for one heartbeat, shoulders tightening, spine straightening. But he quickly managed his expression. "Not now." His voice tried to sound casual, but it came out taut. "Lin Heye has made a fuss again. That's why those two idiots had appeared here…" He pinched the bridge of his nose briefly. "Let's go inside. I am afraid that if we stay out any longer, he will call half of Isatis city to come investigate. I'll tell you about it tonight."
Micah watched him with a mix of suspicion and amusement before nodding. "Alright. I am worried about Darcy too, you know. Those friends of yours are so unpredictable."
He wasn't wrong. Those people Clyde called friends were more like walking catastrophes. Micah had experienced their antics firsthand.
