Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: An Unexpected Invitation from Qiao Shanshan

«You! You guys!! Hmph! Next time I'd rather die than cook for you!»

Wen Lan glared at Li Bin, pissed off, plopped down at the table, grabbed some chopsticks, and shoved a bite of burnt veggies into her mouth, chewing spitefully.

Pfft!! Pfft pfft pfft!!! Ugh…

Wen Lan stood up awkwardly, spat out the charred mess, and forced a smile. «Okay, brother-in-law, little sis, let's eat out today. Uh… my treat.»

«Sweet!»

Li Bin nodded, relieved like he'd just been saved, sneaking a glance at Wen Ting, hoping to patch things up with her.

«Sure, but two girls eating out with brother-in-law's a hassle. He should stay home and write. We'll bring you something tasty back, right, brother-in-law?» Wen Ting flashed him a strained smile.

Li Bin froze, thrown off again. Was Wen Ting ditching him to spill to Wen Lan about the filthy shit he'd done?

The thought drenched him in sweat, his heart pounding like crazy.

«You little shit, how's it a hassle with brother-in-law? What's your deal, always picking on him? If it weren't for him last night, do you know how much trouble you'd be in?» Wen Lan shot Wen Ting an annoyed look, clearly mad.

«Oh really? Thanks, brother-in-law. But, second sis, I just want you to hang out with me alone,» Wen Ting smirked coolly, sticking to her guns.

«Huh? Haha… You two go ahead. I've got stuff to do today, can't join you. Have fun, just bring me back something good,» Li Bin said, laughing awkwardly to smooth things over, his heart still tight with guilt under Wen Ting's stare.

«You two… something's off with you. Whatever, fine! Big sis'll treat you to a good time today.» Wen Lan gave Li Bin and Wen Ting a weird look.

Lucky for him, Wen Ting had always disliked him, so Wen Lan didn't suspect much. She waved at Li Bin and headed out with Wen Ting.

Once they were gone, Li Bin let out a long breath. That whole scene felt like torture—guilt crushing him 'til he could barely breathe.

No choice, though—he'd done dirty shit. But hey, afternoon's free now. Perfect chance to hit up Qiao Shanshan.

He checked his phone—two new WeChat messages from her.

Qiao Shanshan: Hey! What're you doing? Why're you ignoring me again? Qiao Shanshan: Fine, if you won't talk, let's just stop chatting! Delete me.

Li Bin grinned, satisfied, and fired back: Sorry, was busy, didn't see my phone. You eaten yet?

Qiao Shanshan: Just made food, about to eat!

Li Bin: Boo… I haven't eaten yet. Was gonna ask you out for a bite.

Qiao Shanshan: Oh? You haven't eaten? Eating out's fine, but I've got the kid—not easy.

Qiao Shanshan: If you don't mind… why not come over and eat with me? Try my cooking.

Her place?!! Li Bin's eyes lit up at the invite.

But then he hesitated. He's a married guy—showing up at a single woman's house in broad daylight? If someone saw, it'd be risky as hell.

Plus, Qiao Shanshan's got a 19-month-old kid—that felt weird.

Li Bin: Shanshan, is it cool if I come over? It won't cause any trouble, right?

He almost hit send, but the system stopped him cold.

[She's mustered the guts to invite you—jump on it now! Hesitating kills the vibe, makes her look down on you, and could tank this whole thing. You might blow this side quest completely. Sure you wanna send that?]

Li Bin paused at the system's warning.

He grit his teeth—fuck it, time to roll the dice! Big risks, big rewards! For thrills and a hookup, this was worth it! A beauty inviting him over—if he chickened out, he'd look like a total pussy! And get this: first «date» at a milf's house, with her 19-month-old kid there? That's not just thrilling—that's heart-pounding insanity! Just thinking about it had his pulse racing!

Li Bin: Send me your address—I'm coming over for food!

Qiao Shanshan: [Location]
