The next day, Violet once again pulled Stella along to deliver lunch for Sylas. Although she was disgruntled, she had no choice but to go along with Violet.
Seeing Violet, Sylas didn't have anything to say. He let the girl accompany him, telling him small stories about Julia meanwhile. She listened to them intently.
For warmth, the girl would stick close to him, and at the end of the day, he carried her home after she fell asleep relying on the warmth from his body.
When Violet woke up from her sleep, in her drowsy state, she saw Sylas standing sitting on the couch, reading a novel. A bright smile made its way over to her face when she stretched her arms.
"Good morning." A hint of lethargy was present in her voice.
Although she desired more sleep, at the same time, she wished to watch Sylas too.
There was something about his side profile when he concentrated that mesmerized her.
She was truly whipped over him.
"Morning," Sylas gently said. "Don't follow me today."
