Chapter 242 - News of a Heretic God’s Appearance

The morning sunlight slipped through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating the most luxurious room in Sydney's Shangri-La.

The Day of Silence lasted for 24 hours, and with five hours remaining before the grand magic that put most of humanity into a deep slumber ended, the city was still eerily quiet.

On a massive king-sized bed, a young man slept alongside five blonde women, all of them naked.

Five bloodstains marred the white sheets, and their clothes were scattered across the floor, creating a chaotic scene. An indescribable aroma filled the room—a mix of sweat, wine, and expensive perfume.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened the previous night: an orgy.

"Yawn~… It's morning already, huh…"

Stirring from his sleep, Ren crawled out from the warm, soft bodies of the women around him. He climbed off the bed and stretched, loosening his stiff muscles.

"Phew… Now I kinda understand why soldiers in ancient times would rape women after conquering a village or city."

As if grasping a profound philosophy, Ren gazed at the five exhausted women, nodding in satisfaction.

Five beautiful, virginal women lay helplessly on the bed, their faces etched with extreme fatigue. If placed in a university or school, each would be a queen bee, a belle, a goddess in the hearts of many men.

"Prolonged battles cause stress. You need an outlet, and the best way is sex! It's a primal urge flowing in every human's blood, an instinct to survive and reproduce."

Initially, Ren had declined the prostitution services offered by the Australian Mage Association. But that refusal didn't last long. After all, he was a young man in his teens, a period when his desires were at their peak.

The call of nature, combined with the thrill of his recent victory, merged into one. In the end, he changed his mind.

The Australian Mage Association, always ready to cater to his whims, promptly sent five virgin women to his room.

"This doesn't count as cheating, right? After all, I have no intention of adding them to my harem. This was purely a one-night stand—no emotions involved, just a transaction."

Sighing, Ren looked at the five women and felt no guilt. He was a Campione. In his eyes, they were a reward, a prize for his victory. He knew some would consider his actions unethical. But in a world of magic, gods, and monsters, ordinary human ethics were easily forgotten.

"…"

His gaze returned to the bed. Among the five sleeping women, one figure caught his attention. Ren recognized her.

"Speaking of which, I didn't expect her to be here. Was it voluntary, or a scheme by the Ainsworth Family to curry favor with a Campione? Whatever, it's not my loss."

The woman Ren recognized had long, flowing blonde hair and bright, clear blue eyes. Her body was well-proportioned, her curves evident even in sleep.

"Rita Ainsworth…" Ren muttered to himself.

Thanks to his photographic memory, he recalled details from his previous life perfectly.

"Rita Ainsworth is a girl from England, a roommate and caretaker for Mashiro when she was in England. In the original work, she fell in love with Ryuunosuke and kissed him near the lips before leaving Japan. But by the end of the Sakurasou series, their romantic relationship never progressed."

"Maybe there's a variable?" Ren mused, touching his chin. "After all, this world is a comprehensive blend of multiple anime. It's not impossible that the original plot got disrupted."

Not dwelling on it too much, Ren headed to the bathroom to clean his body, sticky from sweat and the remnants of the previous night.

He stepped inside, closed the door, and turned on the shower.

Normally, a man showers faster than a woman. Unfortunately, not for Ren today. He spent about two hours in the bathroom.

Why? Because Rita and the other four women joined him after waking up.

The bathroom door opened, and the five women entered. Then, Ren and the women engaged in intense "exercise" inside.

The sound of running water and moans filled the bathroom. Time slipped by unnoticed, and when they finally emerged, the sun was already high in the sky.

The five women collapsed on the bed with ahegao expressions. Meanwhile, Ren cleaned himself thoroughly. He then put on his clothes, prepared by the hotel staff, and left the room.

At the hotel restaurant, Ren enjoyed a classic Australian breakfast: juicy grilled kangaroo steak and roasted barramundi with lemon sauce. He ate calmly, savoring each bite, ignoring the awed and fearful glances from some hotel staff hiding nearby.

After breakfast, Ren decided to take a walk. He headed toward Bondi Beach.

Bondi Beach, Sydney's most iconic beach, was popular for surfing and tourism. On normal days, it would be bustling with locals and tourists, but not today. The Day of Silence was still in effect, so no one was around except Ren, strolling barefoot on the sand.

A cool breeze blew, and the sound of waves crashing on the shore was the only melody accompanying his steps. Ren walked along the beach, his feet sinking slightly into the wet sand.

In the distance, a few people—members of the Australian Mage Association tasked with monitoring Ren in case he needed anything—kept their distance, not daring to disturb the Devil King.

Ren gazed at the vast expanse of white sand and the endless blue sea stretching before him.

"It feels like having a private beach. A perfect spot for a vacation. Should I bring Itsuki and the others here for the next holiday? That's a great idea!" Ren said to himself.

His mind filled with plans for a vacation with Itsuki and the others, a peaceful and calming scene. But the tranquility didn't last long.

Suddenly, the people monitoring him from afar rushed toward him. They were mages from the Australian Mage Association, their faces showing extreme unease mixed with undisguised fear. They stopped a few meters away, not daring to come closer.

"King Ren, a Heretic God has appeared! Please take action!" one man said, his voice breathless and filled with respect.

Hearing those words, Ren raised an eyebrow. His calm expression shifted into an excited grin. He looked up at the sky, as if he could see the Heretic God from afar.

"Oh, a Heretic God? I heard their appearances increased during the Prime War, but I didn't expect one to actually show up. Interesting. It's been a while since I gained a new Divine Authority."

For ordinary people and even mystic practitioners, a Heretic God was synonymous with a walking natural disaster. Wherever they appeared, destruction followed as if a natural calamity had struck—demolishing cities, summoning storms, or triggering earthquakes. Their mere presence was enough to bring unimaginable devastation.

That's why Campiones were needed—to stop Heretic Gods from wreaking havoc on the earth. These Devil Kings were the only entities with the power to slay Heretic Gods and end the destruction they caused.
