Finally, a flicker of relief.

I had been chasing shadows for days, weeks even, tracking every possible lead. But now, as the excavators hit metal, it felt like the world finally shifted into focus. A rush of adrenaline coursed through my veins—this was it. I could feel the weight of it, the gravity of what was coming.

The metal groaned beneath the force of the machines. The sound rang out, deafening and sharp, like the clash of a thousand hammers. It was a sound I knew all too well, the sound of progress, of something finally giving. But it wasn't just metal they were breaking—it was a dam holding back everything I had been pushing toward for so long.
