Chapter 132 - 131.The Weight of Unsaid Words

Selene could feel the tension in the car as thick as an iceberg as she adjusted her position in the passenger seat, swallowing the lump that had been lodged in her throat since she sat down.

She lifted her hand to her neck. As her fingertips grazed the diamond necklace, which lay beautifully, like it belonged there, her mind flashed back to the kiss that had almost been her undoing for the night.

Selene felt Nikolas's tongue slip into her mouth, his warmth seeping into her soul. She involuntarily let out a soft moan, and as though on cue, Nikolas pulled her closer, slightly lifting her heels from the ground and carrying her entire weight on him.

But Selene didn't care. Hell, right now, the only thing she could think about was how desperately she had missed him so much that every nerve in her body was betraying her.
