Upon reaching Eiji's level of power, merely unleashing his aura could stir the winds and clouds across heaven and earth.
However, the current Eiji was still far from matching Twin-Wings.
Back when Edelweiss had unleashed her aura, she had unintentionally shattered every window of an entire school building from over two hundred meters away. Even if Eiji went all out now, he still couldn't achieve such a feat.
After all, Edelweiss had been the world's strongest swordsman for over a decade, while Eiji had only recently stepped into this realm. The difference in their accumulated aura was simply incomparable.
Even so, combined with the power of "Cutting Through Anything," Eiji had effortlessly destroyed Beldia's [Herald Death] with a single burst of sword energy.
"I am utterly convinced. I never imagined that when you got serious, you could obliterate me with a casual strike."
Beldia's expression was bitter.
"Don't misunderstand—I don't even need to be serious to obliterate you!"
Eiji added with complete sincerity.
Beldia stiffened, his facial muscles twitching several times. He seemed to want to say something, but in the end, he just waved his hand dismissively.
"Enough. As per our agreement, I won't speak another word about this matter."
He retreated, his expression despondent.
He was probably starting to question his life choices.
The Demon King's Hall fell into dead silence.
The low-tier monsters didn't dare even breathe loudly. Occasionally, when their eyes met Eiji's, they immediately lowered their heads, terrified of drawing his attention—lest his aura alone shattered them into pieces.
They were supposed to be the demons, beings with power far surpassing that of ordinary humans. Yet now, they felt like harmless little animals.
The real demon was standing right in front of them!
"Beldia has been persuaded. Who's next?"
Eiji's gaze swept past the low-tier monsters without lingering, settling instead on Sylvia, Serena, and Vanir.
Sylvia and Serena's eyes were shifty, clearly already intimidated.
After a moment's thought, Eiji's focus finally landed on the masked man.
"Judging by their reactions earlier, you must be the highest-ranking among them, right?"
"Oh-ho? Setting your sights on me, are you?"
Vanir grinned beneath his mask.
While everyone else—including the other executives—had begun to fear Eiji, he alone remained unbothered, completely at ease, without a trace of fear.
"I understand your desire to make an example out of someone, but alas! I have no intention of fighting you!"
"Why not?"
"Hahaha, do you even need to ask?"
Vanir laughed loudly, pressing a hand to his mask. "It's simple—because I'm no match for you! At least, not in my current state!"
Perhaps due to some strange sense of pride, he deliberately emphasized the word "current."
"What do you mean?"
"Allow me to introduce myself properly!"
Still laughing, he gave a theatrical bow, his movements as graceful as a waltz, like a nobleman at a grand ball.
"I am Vanir, known as the Great Demon who surpasses even the Demon King, the one who sees through all! My true identity is none other than the Hell Duke, the foremost of the Seven Great Demons of Hell, the ruler of all demons!"
"That impressive?"
Even Eiji was taken aback.
"Oh-ho? You believe me just like that?"
This time, it was Vanir who looked surprised.
"Hmm... I've seen beings similar to you before."
Eiji recalled the gods from the world of DanMachi.
His demeanor was indeed filled with an overwhelming sense of self-awareness.
Though he seemed like a joker, his aura was entirely different from Beldia and the others.
And he was a complete thrill-seeker through and through.
This behavior was almost identical to the gods of DanMachi.
Those gods, who had lived for hundreds of millions of years, were just like Vanir—seemingly foolish and easy to bully, but each was unfathomably deep. Even a lesser-known deity like Dionysus could become the mastermind behind nearly destroying Orario, which spoke volumes.
From Vanir, Eiji got the same déjà vu feeling as with the gods of DanMachi.
"So, you've sealed your own power?"
Thinking of the gods' traits, Eiji tentatively asked.
"Not exactly."
Vanir spread his hands and casually explained.
"My true form remains in the underworld. I'm merely walking the surface through an avatar. With just an avatar's power, of course, I'm no match for you."
Ah, that made sense.
"Then why did you become an executive of the Demon King Army?"
"Because that damn old Demon King kept barging into my domain, clinging to my legs, begging and pleading for help with snot and tears! I couldn't stand his pestering, so I just tossed an avatar up here to shut him up!"
Eiji: "..."
Vanir grumbled on and on.
When mentioning the Old Demon King, his face was full of resentment—clearly, he had suffered greatly from the old man's nagging.
Eiji shot the unconscious Old Demon King on the ground a complicated look.
He had always felt this Old Demon King was off, completely lacking in dignity. Now, the truth was out.
Turns out, he was just a ridiculous weakling!
Guess it's up to me to restore the dignity of the Demon King title!
With that thought, Eiji felt he had one more reason to become the Demon King.
"In that case, you won't interfere with me, right?"
Eiji still gave Vanir a wary look first.
The Duke of Hell, leader of the Seven Great Demons—wasn't that essentially the ruler of the underworld?
That position was no joke. If his true form came out, who knew what would happen.
"Couldn't care less. Do as you please! In fact, I've been wanting to quit for ages. This is the perfect opportunity!"
Delighted, Vanir grabbed the Demon King Army Executive Badge on his chest and tossed it aside with disgust.
...Alright then.
Eiji didn't want an unruly Duke of Hell under his command after becoming the Demon King.
Better that he resigned.
"You two don't have any objections, do you?"
Having dealt with Vanir, Eiji turned to Sylvia and Serena.
Both seemed like beauties. Ideally, they'd be more... self-aware.
Don't ask what kind of self-awareness.
"Um... If I support you as the Demon King, can I have you?"
Sylvia suppressed her fear and looked at him with desperate longing.
"That depends on my mood!"
Eiji straightened his face.
Just becoming the Demon King—he couldn't let his subordinates get the wrong idea about him being a lecher.
"I approve!"
Sylvia's eyes lit up, instantly agreeing.
"Hohoho!"
Seeing this, Vanir broke into an eerily amused grin.
The small fry demons all curled their lips, looking like they wanted to laugh but didn't dare.
Strange, what were they laughing about?
Eiji was somewhat puzzled.
"Um... if possible, I'd like to spread the teachings of the goddess I worship within the Demon King's Castle!"
Seeing Sylvia being accepted, Serena felt somewhat reassured. After hesitating for a moment, she turned to Eiji with hopeful eyes.
"As you wish."
"All hail the Demon King!"
Serena immediately knelt down, her face full of reverence.
"Oh no, oh no! Lady Serena is going to start preaching!"
"D-d-d-don't panic! F-f-f-find the time machine first!"
The small fry demons suddenly fell into complete disarray.
