Kazuma fell silent.

"Kitty, come here."
Eiji glanced sideways and spotted a small, pitch-black cat with a pair of short wings on its back.
It was Megumin's Chomusuke!
He immediately tossed the student handbook aside and beckoned to the kitten.
Kazuma, seeing this, quietly picked up the student handbook.
The kitten meowed softly, as if understanding human speech, then leaped onto Eiji's lap and settled down, feigning sleep.
"The texture is amazing! Its fur is so much smoother than an ordinary kitten's!"
Eiji couldn't keep his hands off the cat, stroking it repeatedly. The black fur felt like a baby's skin, yet far more resilient—perfect for unrestrained petting. Simply wonderful.
"Speaking of which, is this cat male or female?"
A rather serious question suddenly occurred to Eiji.
If his guess was correct, this creature should be the other half of the goddess Wolbach.
So, if this cat were male, wouldn't that mean Wolbach was androgynous?
The thought of that dashing yet charming red-haired beauty turning into a futa with male parts sent a shiver of disgust down Eiji's spine.
"Better confirm this quickly!"
Eiji jolted into action, hastily lifting Toshinosuke up and spreading its hind legs.
"Meow—!!"
Toshinosuke, startled and seeing its lower half about to be exposed, let out an angry meow.
"Pfft!"
A small flame shot out of its mouth, aimed precisely at Eiji's hand.
Eiji quickly let go, and Toshinosuke immediately escaped, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
"Good, it's female!"
Eiji patted his chest in relief.
Though it was just a glimpse, he had caught sight of Toshinosuke's lower half—definitely empty, and it didn't seem like it had been neutered. So, all was well!
"You're so perverted."
Megumin stood in front of Eiji, looking at her with disdainful eyes.
"I knew you were a lecher, but I never thought you'd even go after a cat!"
"Watch your words! I call this being consistently devoted to everyone!"
Eiji glared back unhappily, then suddenly realized something.
"You two stopped fighting?"
"It's over."
"What was the result?"
"One day each, fair and square."
Megumin straightened her disheveled clothes and nonchalantly covered the black eye on her left eye with her eyepatch.
It seemed they hadn't settled on a winner.
"On a more private note, back in Alcanretia, were you deliberately stopping Yunyun?"
Eiji glanced around. Aqua and Kazuma had both run off, so he quietly confirmed with Megumin.
"She's sort of a friend. I couldn't just stand by and watch Yunyun jump into a pit of fire."
Megumin shot him a glance and rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"But Yunyun will have to find a man sooner or later, right? What's wrong with seizing the chance to find an excellent one?"
Eiji pointed at himself with his thumb, implying, "Someone as outstanding as me is practically extinct these days. Shouldn't she cherish that?"
"Care to explain what exactly makes you so outstanding?"
Megumin stared at him with dead-fish eyes, clearly unconvinced.
"For example, I could buy her best friend a nice magic wand!"
Megumin immediately perked up, her expression showing clear interest.
"And whenever we encounter a big monster, I'll let her best friend take the kill!"
Visible hesitation quickly spread across Megumin's face.
"And I'll wipe the debt clean!"
"Yunyun is all yours!"
Megumin earnestly grasped Eiji's hand.
"You're an outstanding man. I hope you won't make her sad!"
"Absolutely!"
Bang, bang, bang!
The two had just completed their transaction... no, I mean Eiji had just gained Megumin's approval when a series of urgent knocks suddenly came from the front door.
"Coming, coming... Who's making such a racket this late at night..."
Kazuma's grumbling could be heard from the entrance.
Soon after, the door opened, followed by hurried footsteps.
"Mr. Nangou, please have a child with me!"
Standing at the living room entrance was YuYu, tears streaming down her face in desperation.
