Chapter 895 - Chapter 895

Chapter 895: The Demon Lord Army Attacks

"Boss, was that busty beauty you sent earlier?"

After having their innocent young hearts toyed with by Megumin, the two left the succubus bar. Knowing they'd receive nothing but scorn from Megumin if they returned so soon, they casually wandered the streets, observing the unique customs of the Crimson Demon Clan - an elder sweeping with a tornado, a grill auntie causing spontaneous meat combustion... scenes that utterly shattered outsiders' worldviews in every conceivable way.

Suddenly remembering something, Kazuma leaned close to Eiji and whispered, "Busty beauty?"

"Wow, boss, stop playing dumb! That executive named Silvia!"

Kazuma's face flushed slightly, and he quickly wiped the corner of his mouth as if fearing drool might escape. Honestly, that beauty was exactly his type - his ideal woman. Her tall, voluptuous figure might intimidate ordinary people, but to Kazuma, it represented the perfect playground for bouncing up and down!

He meant trampoline gymnastics, not anything lewd.

"That beauty is your mistress too, right?"

"Not at all."

Eiji shook his head, lowering his head in contemplation. "Now that you mention it, you've reminded me of something. Earlier when I drove Silvia away and spoke with her... it felt somewhat strange."

What kind of strange? Kazuma asked.

Back in the forest, Eiji had driven Silvia away from everyone's sight deep into the woods, then stopped.

"Don't kill me, don't kill me! I'm innocent, Your Majesty! I really wasn't acting on my own accord!"

Silvia fell to her knees with a thud, tears and snot streaming as she pleaded her innocence.

"Then what the hell are you doing here? Did I order you to attack Crimson Demon Village? Look at what you're working with - aren't you just delivering yourselves as ingredients to the Crimson Demons?"

Eiji berated Silvia harshly.

The Crimson Demon Village's strength was such that even the full might of the Demon Lord Army might not overcome them. Did she think her single squad could conquer Crimson Demon Village? She must be dreaming!

"I didn't want to come either! This was basically a suicide mission... but someone delivered Your Majesty's decree, so I had no choice but to come!"

Silvia defended herself with a wronged expression.

"What? Serena sent you to die in Crimson Demon territory?"

Eiji looked completely baffled.

During his absence from the Demon King's Castle, Serena had essentially been in charge. As the Demon Lord Army's Strategist, she was the executive who understood humans best.

But what were they doing now?

Was Serena someone who couldn't read the situation? Wasn't she the Demon Lord Army's Strategist? The one full of clever schemes? Why would she send Silvia to die in Crimson Demon territory?

If things went wrong, she could actually die!

Silvia at least understood the rules - since the contract was signed ten years ago, there had been no rumors of her harming ordinary people, unlike Hans who treated eating humans as nothing special.

"It wasn't Lady Serena... it was a succubus..."

Silvia awkwardly forced a smile.

"A succubus delivered my decree to you, and you believed it?"

Eiji found this unbelievable. Had she been kicked in the head by a donkey?

"Everyone knows succubi are the race you absolutely don't want to mess with in the Demon King's Castle..."

Silvia muttered under her breath, casting a resentful glance at Eiji.

"Thanks to His Majesty's favor, the succubus clan is thriving now."

Ah... right, that makes sense.

The news that the new Demon King frequently summoned succubi to attend him had long spread throughout the Demon King's Castle.

The succubi's status had skyrocketed from previously overlooked, weak demons only used for venting desires, to becoming highly favored by the Demon King—so much so that even the high-ranking officers dared not casually approach them!

When one of the Demon King's favored subordinates conveyed Eiji's decree ordering Silvia to attack the Crimson Demon clan, frankly, Silvia didn't dare ignore it!

More importantly, Eiji, the new Demon King, kept frequently traveling to the human world, making it impossible to find him!

This left Silvia with no way to verify whether it was truly his decree. She could only discuss it with Serena, but Serena couldn't provide any clear answers either.

After some wild speculation between them, they wondered if His Majesty intended for Silvia to fake her death through the attack on the Crimson Demon clan.

That was Silvia's assumption.

Naturally, she didn't dare delay. She immediately gathered her subordinate demons and rushed to the Crimson Demon clan, essentially seeking her own defeat.

"A succubus forged my decree?"

Silvia's genuinely aggrieved expression seemed authentic, so Eiji shifted his suspicion to the succubus she mentioned.

But who could it be?

Even their clan leader, Nia, acted as obedient as a grandson in front of Eiji—kneeling when told, and... ahem. An ordinary succubus wouldn't dare do such a thing!

Moreover, what benefit would there be in sending Silvia to attack the Crimson Demon clan?

Surely no one actually believed Silvia could defeat the Crimson Demons, right?

"Were there any other suspicious details?"

"No... probably not..."

"Alright."

Eiji pondered for a moment and decided not to punish Silvia.

After all, this wasn't really her fault.

"Remember this: if I have tasks for you, I'll summon you officers personally to give orders. I won't relay them through others. Inform the other officers about this, but don't spread it widely."

"Yes!"

"Also, since you're already here, you might as well die once before returning."

"Uh... understood."

Silvia nervously swallowed, relieved that the Demon King didn't mean to actually kill her and bring her corpse back.

...

That's what had happened back then.

"Someone forged your orders, boss?"

Kazuma clicked his tongue in amazement. "Seems like your Demon King's Castle isn't as united as it appears!"

Though he said this, he didn't sound particularly worried.

After all, the boss's strength was undoubtedly far beyond what he could imagine. As everyone knew, transmigrators always had cheats—and from what he'd seen, Eiji was no weaker than so-called gods.

"Actually, we can't yet determine whether the problem originates from inside or outside the Demon King's Castle."

Eiji shook his head.

Was this scheme targeting Silvia, or the Crimson Demon clan?

Or perhaps neither, with someone else as the real target?

They would only uncover the answer after returning to the Demon King's Castle.

"The Demon Lord Army is attacking! The Demon Lord Army is attacking! All available villagers, please gather at the village entrance! I repeat..."

As they were speaking, the magical horn tied to a roadside tree suddenly blared—not just here, but all horns across the Crimson Demon tribe echoed simultaneously, emitting a sweet voice from within.

"Boss, is this your idea too?"

"No, I didn't tell her to come this quickly..."

The two exchanged a glance, both sensing something amiss.

...

At the entrance of Crimson Demon Village, a diverse crowd had gathered—auntie with a vegetable basket hooked over her elbow, grandpa shouldering a hoe, teacher clutching a book in hand...

Identical cloaks billowed behind each person, all wearing stern expressions as they stared at the distant Demon Lord Army, their eyes brimming with crimson killing intent.
