Chapter 892 - Chapter 892

Chapter 892: How Did You Know I Killed an Executive?

The battle ahead seemed extremely intense, with trees collapsing in rows. Darkness and Megumin were fighting over the magic wand, while Aqua was brawling with a group of low-tier demons. The entire forest was in complete chaos.

Kazuma ran to a shady spot, plopped down on the ground, and watched the commotion with a smile on his face.

His instincts told him that the battlefield was full of trouble, and he absolutely did not want to get involved.

It had been a long time since he had enjoyed such a leisurely break on the sidelines without having to clean up after those troublemakers!

Slacking off felt so good!

"Um... Did I come at a bad time?"

Beside him, someone awkwardly scratched their head.

You are a young man with medium-short hair, looking around twenty years old. The magic robe you wear is slightly worn, but its style is elegant, complemented by a handsome cloak that adds quite a bit to your impression.

"Who are you?"

Kazuma saw the other's crimson eyes and couldn't help but feel a sense of retreat.

His instincts told him that this person was definitely trouble!

"My name is Green Broccoli Slayer, a master of advanced magic, destined to become the foremost cobbler of the Crimson Demon Clan!"

The young man's eyes lit up as if he had seized an opportunity.

He placed his hand in front of his face, made an exaggerated gesture like performing a magic trick, fiercely flipped open his cloak, and let his eyes seep with a crimson glow as he loudly proclaimed.

His face was full of a proud smile.

Forgive his rudeness, but he couldn't understand what was so funny about it.

"My name is Kazuma Satou, from Axel, destined to become an adventurer who can hold his own in the kingdom."

Kazuma made a few mechanical movements and spoke expressionlessly.

"Wow! Even an outsider like you recognizes quality!"

Green Broccoli Slayer excitedly rushed forward, shaking Kazuma's hand vigorously.

Kazuma felt a bit ashamed.

Truth be told, he had come up with that line on the spot, and his movements were half-hearted. He felt a little sorry for the other's overwhelming enthusiasm.

"What's happening here? I was just tailing—no, just strolling around when I saw this mess. I thought something had happened. Aren't you worried about those people? Are they your companions?"

Green Broccoli Slayer looked toward the chaotic battlefield, where he seemed to spot a familiar little girl. Due to some unpleasant past experiences, he elegantly ignored her.

Did this guy just say he was tailing someone?

What should I do? This person is definitely a trouble magnet too!

"Well, they are my companions..."

Kazuma stammered.

To be honest, the other side wasn't exactly an enemy either.

Seeing how fiercely the boss drove Executive Silvia away, they must have gone somewhere private to talk. They were really playing the double agent game smoothly.

"Tornado!"

Suddenly, a fierce wind swept across the battlefield.

The wind took the form of a tornado, as green as a veil, yet powerful enough to easily lift demons weighing over a hundred kilograms dozens of meters into the sky!

The tornado seemed to have a mind of its own. It avoided Aqua and the others, swept all the demons into the sky, and then dropped them down like dumplings. They rolled their eyes and lay motionless.

"What an incredible spell!"

Kazuma quickly turned toward the source of the voice and saw a beautiful woman.

Her pitch-black long hair was tied into a dashing ponytail, her crimson eyes radiated intense charisma, and her facial features carried a mature elegance. She wore a slit dress resembling a cheongsam, where the wind occasionally revealed her long, straight legs.

"It's Taurus!"

Green Broccoli cheered, releasing Kazuma and rushing toward the beautiful woman.

"My name is Taurus, master of advanced magic, destined to become the foremost diviner of the Crimson Magic Clan!"

Kazuma's restless heart suddenly calmed.

How strange—these insane introductions from the Crimson Magic Clan completely extinguished any lustful thoughts he had toward the beauty!

"As long as we, the 'Crimson-Eyed Annihilators,' are here, the Demon Lord Army will never invade Crimson Magic Village!"

Green Broccoli rushed to Taurus's side. The two stood back-to-back, striking a cool pose as they proudly declared.

"There's a Demon Lord Army officer over there!"

Darkness exclaimed with delight, pointing toward the area where trees were falling one after another.

As if responding to her words, the falling trees in the distance finally stopped.

"Leave it to us!"

"A Demon Lord Army officer? Then the title of 'Officer Slayer' shall be ours!"

"No, it should be mine!"

A man and a woman, upon hearing this, scrambled to rush toward the area.

Was it just an illusion, or did Darkness see them pushing each other out of the way?

"That's my title!"

Megumin roared after the departing pair, her protests ignored.

Kazuma quickly adopted an expression of detached innocence.

Soon, the two returned from the area looking disappointed, accompanied by Eiji, who had just finished a fierce battle with the Demon Lord Army officer.

"Are you okay?"

Darkness approached somewhat awkwardly, her face flushed as she expressed concern for Eiji.

"I'm fine."

Eiji rolled his eyes. If not for your reckless interference, Silvia would have died today.

He glanced at Kazuma, who wore an expression of complete detachment, and couldn't help feeling irritated.

"What a shame—the Demon Lord Army officer got away!"

Green Broccoli and Taurus wore expressions of bitter regret. If they had arrived just a little earlier, they might have captured the Demon Lord Army officer!

The thought of the "Officer Slayer" title slipping through their fingers made them beat their chests in frustration.

"Sorry, friends from outside. You must think we're ridiculous."

Green Broccoli offered an apologetic smile to Eiji and the others.

So they can speak normally after all?

They only talk like that because they're crazy, right?

Kazuma silently grumbled.

"Megumin, you're back too! Are these your friends? You must introduce them to us properly later!"

Taurus approached Megumin with a warm, friendly smile.

"How did you know I defeated a Demon Lord Army officer just a few days ago?"

"?"

"Yes, that's right! It was five days ago, in Alcanretia! I never thought word of my victory would reach you, even though you never leave the village!"

Megumin looked at them in surprise, then adopted a nostalgic expression.

"Ah, what an exhilarating battle that was! Truly, I am the most fitting candidate for the title 'Officer Slayer'! Don't lose heart—you two have your own merits too!"

"...I'll send you back."

Broccoli fell silent for a moment before showing Eiji and the other three a straightforward smile.

"Sure."

"We stole so much money from demons, I'm exhausted. I want to rest."

Eiji, Darkness, Kazuma, and Aqua all nodded in agreement.

Then Broccoli gathered them together and began chanting the incantation for teleportation magic.

"Hey! Let me go back with you too!"

Megumin hurriedly rushed over.
