Chapter 1077 - Chapter 1077

Chapter 1077: The Information Broker

Deep within the rainforest lay the massive remains of a creature, now blanketed in moss.

Even a single rib required several people to encircle its girth. The enormous skeleton lay coiled in the murky swamp, and though long deceased, no magical beast dared approach, as if an enigmatic force field lingered here.

"Got played."

Upon the colossal skeleton stood a bewitching figure.

Her white office-style suit had been replaced by a black leather outfit that accentuated her alluring curves. Her pink hair was tied into a simple ponytail, while her fluffy ears and tail twitched irritably.

"Albion's Dragon... I thought there'd be more body parts left, but it's just bones! Completely useless!"

Koyanskaya let out a disappointed sigh, her tail drooping.

"Just hearing about the most ancient dragon made me lose my cool. I didn't even check the dragon bones' condition and fell for that guy's trick."

"What's even more infuriating is that Queen consort. I never expected him to accompany the army, and he's terrifyingly strong—he wounded all my tails! Without some potent nourishment, I can't even recover to my previous state!"

Remembering how she'd suffered two major setbacks consecutively, Koyanskaya couldn't suppress her rage.

She'd painstakingly cultivated to reach the Six-Tails realm, only to suffer severe damage at this critical juncture. Even Albion's Dragon's remains turned out to be unusable scraps—it was utterly maddening!

It felt like ever since showing off in the first two Lostbelts, she'd been constantly beaten down.

In the Chinese Lostbelt, the First Emperor sliced her a thousand times. In the Indian Lostbelt, she nearly died under the Samsara Sword. In the Olympus Lostbelt, she finally revealed her Five-Tails true form only to be repelled by Chaldea's forces—not a single successful display of power!

And now, this demon queen consort had wounded all six of her tails. Could her luck get any worse?

"No, I can't just leave like this. After suffering two consecutive losses, how can I not seek revenge?"

Koyanskaya revealed a fox-like cunning smile.

Her snow-white fangs slowly emerged as malice brewed across her face.

"Oh? And how do you plan to take revenge?"

But the moment she spoke, black mist unexpectedly spread, enveloping several kilometers in mere seconds.

Instantly, the world transformed into a bizarre dreamscape, all magical beasts and Mors falling silent.

A cheerful voice echoed, making Koyanskaya's face instantly darken.

"Get down from there, Beast!"

An enraged voice closed in rapidly.

A gleaming silver sword light flashed like moonlight on a lake.

Koyanskaya immediately became alert, leaping from Albion's corpse without hesitation.

The sword light abruptly halted.

Melusine landed beside Albion like an icy gust, her eyes glaring at Koyanskaya with the ferocity of a dragon whose reverse scale had been touched.

"Tch, two troublesome ones showing up at once!"

Koyanskaya glanced at Melusine, then at the other figure approaching from the distance, clicking her tongue in frustration.

"It seems your injuries haven't healed yet."

Eiji arrived at this swamp, his feet seemingly ignoring gravity as they floated ethereally above the dim marsh.

"Being trapped within my dream domain, don't think you can escape as easily as last time?"

Eiji's dream authority could process reality within his domain as dreams.

In other words, it was equivalent to "undoing" reality!

With his massive magical power as the Fourth True Ancestor, he could restrict even a complete Beast's movements for a certain period - truly overpowering!

The currently incomplete Koyanskaya stood even less chance. Even if she used Independent Manifestation to escape, Eiji would just pull her back!

"...It does appear that way."

Koyanskaya subtly observed the surrounding dream domain.

While astonished by its intensity, she also felt secretly furious.

This guy actually had such a card up his sleeve?

Even the legendary incubus Merlin couldn't be much better than this, could he?

What a pity she couldn't avoid this dream domain from the start - now it was too late for regrets.

"So, what is your purpose?"

Koyanskaya straightforwardly abandoned any thought of contesting his authority.

In terms of pure strength, even at her peak she couldn't defeat Eiji, let alone in her current severely wounded state.

"Leave this place, Beast!"

Melusine's eyes remained firmly locked on Koyanskaya.

"Fair enough."

Koyanskaya nodded with surprising decisiveness.

"So straightforward?"

Eiji looked at her with suspicion in his eyes.

What scheme was this fox plotting now?

"Because I don't plan to stay here either."

Koyanskaya sighed with feigned annoyance.

"I originally intended to collect Albion's corpse and use my authority to turn it into a subordinate. But my authority has one condition - it can only subjugate 'beasts' that have fur. As you can see, the Albion dragon doesn't even have any fur left."

In other words, Koyanskaya couldn't make use of the skeleton?

"You wretched fox!"

Melusine's expression turned cold.

To her, even entertaining the thought of utilizing Albion's remains was already a desecration.

"Watch your tongue, you lump of decaying flesh."

Koyanskaya smirked maliciously, looking at Melusine with full mockery.

"After all, you're just a fairy born from Albion's rotting flesh. Even if you remove your given name, I wouldn't fear you in the slightest. The only one I can't handle is this man - you'd better understand that."

Though severely wounded, she was still a Beast after all.

Even incomplete, she wasn't someone a dragon fairy could look down upon.

Melusine's expression grew increasingly icy, clearly ready to release her True Name at the slightest provocation.

"Don't take her bait."

Eiji stepped between the two, cutting off their hostile gazes.

"So you're saying you won't do anything to Albion, and you haven't gained any benefits?"

"Correct."

Koyanskaya wore an expression of helplessness.

"I was deceived by the one who traded information with me too. If I'd known the Albion dragon was in this state, I wouldn't have bothered causing trouble for your reinforcements. Are you satisfied with this answer?"

"For now, it's acceptable."

Eiji also felt somewhat relieved.

If the corpse of the Albion Dragon were truly seized by Koyanskaya, she might instantly become an incredibly formidable enemy!

Come to think of it, if Koyanskaya could turn the Albion Dragon into her familiar, there would be no need for her to engage in these tedious negotiations with him—she would have just charged in with full force.

This indirectly confirms that she wasn't lying.

"Who was the person you traded information with?"

Eiji asked Koyanskaya.

"A member of the rebel army, a Servant named Oberon. Perhaps you know him as well?"

A mischievous grin, as if delighting in chaos, spread across Koyanskaya's face.

My keyboard broke again, for the third time... Thankfully, I'm used to it by now. I'll replace it tomorrow. I've considered getting an external keyboard, but typing on it is truly difficult.
