Chapter 1150 - Chapter 1150

Chapter 1150: The Actors' Return

A torrent of magical energy erupted like a mountain flood, transforming into a twin-headed mercury serpent that opened its black hole-like maw to swallow Oberon whole!

Facing the charge of this monstrous creature, Oberon neither dodged nor avoided it.

He merely smiled faintly before being devoured by the Mercury Serpent!

This familiar beast, capable of dimensional devouring, could annihilate any object along with the space itself. Falling into its mouth meant being swallowed by a black hole!

"Quite impressive power, sharing remarkable similarities with my Naraku!"

But immediately after, another Oberon rippled through the air and appeared before everyone.

"However, the difference in scale is far too great! This pitiful size—are you trying to fill the gaps between my teeth? Thank you, though it's utterly disgusting!"

Eiji remained silent.

But he furrowed his brows.

Was it an ability similar to his dream clone?

Oberon could indeed infiltrate others' dreams.

"Boom!"

A magical cannon, stacked four layers thick in an instant, blasted forth from Morgan's wand.

In the blink of an eye, without even time to utter a word, Oberon was shattered to pieces once more.

"Truly someone who never learns!"

But a third Oberon appeared above the deck.

His gaze was profound as he looked down at the submersible below.

Fujimaru Ritsuka and Artoria were temporarily ignored by him. While they were crucial, their strength was far from enough to pose a threat.

At this moment, no one irritated him more than Eiji and Morgan!

"Let's eliminate one first!"

With this thought, he gently waved his hand.

In the sky, countless ripples suddenly appeared, as if the surface of water had been disturbed.

Immediately after, one shadowy figure after another emerged from them.

In that instant.

Morgan froze completely, the ferocity on her face abruptly halting.

Tentacles.

Slimy skin.

Warty appendages.

Butterflies, locusts, cockroaches.

Mosquitoes, flies, ladybugs.

Dragonflies, horseflies, grasshoppers.

Insects each as tall as a person, draped in dark curses, descended from the sky onto the deck.

These insects shrieked hoarsely, swarming toward everyone like a tidal wave!

This scene wasn't just terrifying for Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash, and the other girls—even grim-faced men like Grimm and Muramasa turned pale.

"—"

"————"

"——————"

Morgan paused for a moment.

Then she took a deep breath, filling her lungs.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

A piercing scream echoed in all directions, lingering without end.

It was so impactful that it even rattled Eiji's eardrums, leaving his ears ringing as if from tinnitus.

Not only Eiji, but those behind them also cast strange glances.

"Bugs, bugs, bugs! Why are there so many bugs?! Don't come any closer!! Eiji, hurry up and drive these bugs away!!"

As if facing a natural predator.

Morgan didn't hesitate to hide behind Eiji, screaming incessantly in his ear.

"I knew it would come to this!"

Habetrot chuckled dryly.

Seeing the bewildered stares around them, she knew that the authority of the Fairy Queen, Tonelico, had completely vanished.

Even so, that reaction was far too excessive, as if the fear of insects had been carved into her very bones.

"I'd forgotten about that!"

Grimm couldn't help but cover his face.

"Cernunnos may be a genius, but she's especially bad at dealing with insects. So many, and so large—for her, it's nothing short of an unprecedented disaster!"

Come to think of it, I'd heard something like that before.

It was said that during the insect-type Mors calamity two hundred years ago, the queen, known for her cold-blooded and iron-fisted policies, let out a womanly scream for the first time. As soon as Barghest resolved the calamity, she was immediately appointed as the Fairy Knight by the queen!

"I'm done for."

Eiji groaned inwardly as he waved his hand and summoned the Twin-Horned Deep Crimson. High-frequency vibration waves spread out in a fan shape ahead, sweeping away all the insects in front of him!

But immediately after, as if endless, more and more insects emerged from the sky, screeching as they charged forward.

In just a moment, the entire submersible was surrounded by insects.

Not only Eiji's side, but even Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others had no choice but to join the effort to repel the insects.

"What's going on?"

But as soon as she took action, Artoria's expression changed.

"Why do these insects carry Mors poison?!"

The others quickly noticed the same issue. Habenyan backed away like a cat with its fur standing on end.

"The source of the Mors is the Curse God, but wasn't the Curse God already defeated?"

Tristan's expression also turned deeply troubled.

Every single insect was covered in Mors poison, and it was similar to the kind Beryl had studied—the kind that could even affect humans!

"Could it be that those ownerless curses were devoured by the Abyssal Insect?"

Grimm felt a surge of dread.

The Abyssal Insect had emerged from the depths of the great chasm!

And at the bottom of that great chasm, there was still a tide of curses that had become rootless and adrift after the Curse God's disappearance!

Though it was a curse vast enough to cover the entire surface of the earth, the Abyssal Insect's body was a conceptual bottomless pit. Even if it devoured all the curses, it wouldn't break a sweat!

"Protect Ritsuka!"

"Understood!"

Mash and Tristan stood guard like door gods, positioned at Fujimaru Ritsuka's front and back.

Muramasa, Grimm, and the others fought with all their might to slaughter the astonishingly large insects, striving to prevent them from breaking through.

The command room would have to fend for itself!

"This is bad—these insects are endless!"

Percival's stamina was rapidly depleting, his heavy breaths stealing oxygen from the air.

Looking up.

The ripples in the sky were increasing without pause.

The channels transporting the cursed insects were visibly multiplying!

Before long, the entire submersible was enveloped by countless insects, making it difficult to even see what was happening inside.

Meanwhile, the Abyssal Insect was slowly consuming the entire island of Britain, inching its way closer.

"Is the outcome already decided?"

Oberon stood in the void, watching the scene unfold with neither joy nor sorrow in his eyes.

"Don't look down on us!"

Suddenly, a violent vibration wave tore open a path, allowing Eiji to appear before Oberon.

"Oh? You still have the leisure to come out here? Aren't you worried about your queen?"

Seeing this, Oberon smirked mockingly.

"Her body might already be crawling with insects by now, you know?"

"Are you out of your mind?"

But Eiji instead revealed a mocking smile.

"This is merely an opportunity."

"Just a chance for the actors who left the stage to make their return!"

Actors returning?

What does that mean?

"GROOOOOWL!!"

Before Oberon could voice his confusion,

an astonishingly powerful wolf howl suddenly erupted.

A magical breath swept away all the surrounding demonic insects in one go!

"Huff...!"

A werewolf covered in warm fur appeared on the deck, standing like a shield before the Queen.

"From two thousand years ago until now, the Fang Clan has always been the sharpest sword in the Queen's hand! I will never allow anyone to harm Her Majesty!"

"That is...?!"

Percival's eyes widened in disbelief.

Surrounded by demonic insects, he was caught off guard for just a moment, allowing several demonic insects to close in on him.

"How many times have I told you not to lose focus during battle, Percival?"

A clear blue light descended from the sky, shattering all the demonic insects.

From within that light emerged a petite figure, looking at him with exasperated eyes.
