Chapter 1231 - Chapter 1231

Chapter 1231: Agnola Has Been Captured

"I will never call you Dad! Never!"

Kojou Akatsuki grabbed Eiji by the collar and tugged fiercely.

Eiji smiled without speaking.

Whether he called him or not made no difference—the established fact had already been formed.

"Do I have to rely on this guy?"

Kojou was deeply unwilling.

But despite his reluctance, he knew he wasn't some high-class figure and couldn't find particularly powerful help.

Although this jerk made him want to stay far away in every possible way, he did have skills. After all, his guardian was that Natsuki Minamiya—just her knowledge alone surpassed his.

"Who captured Agnola?"

Eiji asked Kojou with a cheerful smile.

"I don't know."

Kojou gritted his teeth and slumped his shoulders.

For now, he had no choice but to rely on this guy.

"Hey, don't tell me you don't even know that much?"

Eiji looked at him with utter disbelief.

"What could I do? Those two were wearing white robes and knocked me out with their bare hands. How would I know who they are?"

Kojou shouted indignantly.

So that's how it was.

It seemed the other side was intentionally hiding their identity.

Kojou didn't have much experience, so it was understandable that he couldn't recognize them.

"How long were you unconscious?"

"Uh, judging by the time, probably a little over an hour?"

"Didn't Nagisa come looking for you?"

"Nagisa isn't home today!"

Wow.

So, while Kojou was spending time alone with Agnola, someone knocked him out and took his girl?

How tragic!

Eiji crossed himself in front of his chest to show pity for Kojou.

"Over an hour—that's enough time to board a plane."

Eiji speculated.

From the fact that they wore white robes in advance, it was clear the other side was organized and premeditated, with strong professional skills. Once they achieved their goal, they would definitely leave this Demon Sanctuary Island immediately.

Demon Sanctuary Island was nearly fully enclosed in its management. No criminal would stay here for long, or they'd surely be caught like a turtle in a jar.

"Mokawaii, are you there?"

Eiji opened the app on his phone with the ugly blue doll as its cover.

"I'm here. Could you not bother people so late at night?"

Then, the blue doll jumped out of the app and yawned humanely.

"When did you get so familiar with Mokawaii?"

Kojou looked at Eiji in surprise.

"In this past hour, there was only one flight from Demon Sanctuary Island to the outside world. If they left by plane, it's eighty percent likely they used that one."

Mokawaii scratched its head while browsing online data.

"Though we don't know if they came by small yacht or something, sneaking onto the island. If that's the case, it'll be troublesome. My surveillance only works where cameras are effective."

If they sneaked in, they would definitely avoid surveillance cameras, making it impossible even for Mokawaii to find them.

"Try searching for people in white robes or for Agnola herself?"

"The cameras near the airport didn't capture anyone in white robes, and there's no record of Agnola-chan leaving the island."

Mokawaii sighed helplessly, the ugly doll spreading its hands.

"In other words, the other party most likely came in illegally or had preparations in place, using magic to conceal themselves."

Tracking them through surveillance or big data was no longer feasible.

"That's troublesome."

Eiji muttered to himself.

This had already gone beyond the scope of the original tenth volume—even he didn't know who had taken Avrora.

At this point, they probably had to wait for the other party to reveal their true intentions before they could continue tracking.

"Hmm? Hey, kid, you've got an incoming call!"

Moguai gave a little hop and jumped back into the previous software.

Just then, the ringtone sounded.

Eiji glanced at the caller's name and raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Hello?"

"Master, it's me. I have urgent matters to report..."

The voice on the other end was that of a cool, detached young girl.

After the call ended.

"Alright, I already know what's going on."

Eiji put away his phone and stretched lazily.

"You already know?"

Kojou Akatsuki was utterly dumbfounded.

Even the artificial intelligence said it couldn't find anything for now, so how did you figure everything out just by answering a phone call?

How is this guy becoming more and more unfathomable?

"Kojou, if one day you had to choose between the nation and an individual, which would you pick?"

Eiji snapped back to reality and looked at Kojou Akatsuki with a playful smile.

"Which would I pick? What kind of question is that at a time like this?"

Kojou's eyebrows furrowed tightly.

But then, his eyes suddenly widened as he realized something.

"Wait, are you implying... that the ones who took Avrora are from the government?"

"Bingo! Too bad there's no prize."

Eiji chuckled coldly.

"H-how is that possible? Why would the government take Avrora? Who is Avrora? How am I supposed to choose?"

Kojou's mind was instantly flooded with countless questions.

And as soon as he recalled these issues, his head began to ache as if it were about to burst, forcing him to stop thinking about them.

"Anyway, let's head to the North District first."

Eiji snapped his fingers and strode ahead confidently.

Kojou followed in a daze.

North Island of the Artificial Island.

As an international large-scale magic industry conglomerate, MAR Corporation had its own private jet.

After Mimori Akatsuki intervened, the plane was quickly prepared at the North Island airport.

"Please follow me, both of you!"

As soon as the two arrived at the airport, the ground crew approached them proactively.

"The crew on board has been waiting for a while. Please board immediately!"

Under the moonlight of the early morning, the white private jet stood on the runway.

However.

Just before they could board.

"Clang—!"

Several silvery chains emerged from the void, binding the plane's wings and wheels.

"What's going on?"

"It's fine, step back."

Eiji reassured the panicked ground crew and gestured for Kojou to step aside.

Kojou knew this wasn't a situation where he could be of help, so he pulled the ground crew away from the scene.

"Natsuki-chan, what's the meaning of this?"

Eiji smiled and looked toward the top of the plane.

"Curfew time."

Ripples appeared in the air, and a young girl dressed in a black gothic lolita dress materialized on the plane's nose.

The girl's face was stern as she spoke coldly.

"Natsuki-chan?"

Kojou stared in astonishment.

Why was Natsuki-chan here to stop them?

"At this point, why bring up curfew?"

Eiji spread his hands in disbelief.

"I've been staying out overnight recently, and you never said anything about it?"

He had been spending nights at Mimori Akatsuki, Touya Kisaki, Aya Tokoyami, and Nina's places recently, never returning home at night. Natsuki Minamiya seemed to have tacitly approved, as she never once scolded him about it.

"But I never said I'd allow you to leave Demon Sanctuary Island."

Natsuki Minamiya's expression remained utterly cold and unmoved.
