Chapter 1265 - Chapter 1265

Chapter 1265: The Birth of Aurora Imperial Court (End of Volume)

The next morning.

Eiji left his home and, before anyone around could react, took a single step and arrived at the classroom door.

"Right on time, perfect!"

The clock's hands had just reached eight when Eiji entered the classroom.

The chaotic classroom instantly fell silent.

Everyone stared at him eagerly, yet no one dared to speak a word to him. These same people who had been so familiar with him just ten days ago were now as quiet as cicadas in winter.

"Good morning."

He greeted Asagi and Kojou, who had already arrived, and took his seat.

"Well, if it isn't His Majesty the Emperor of the busy Aurora Imperial Court! You actually have time to attend school?"

A smile tugged at Asagi's lips, but she spoke in her usual buddy-buddy tone.

"I played hooky from work!"

Eiji puffed out his chest with such pride that one might think he'd accomplished some glorious feat.

Asagi and Kojou were immediately rendered speechless.

"Is that really okay?"

"Have you ever heard of such an irresponsible emperor?"

"No worries, I'll be back in a couple of days!"

Eiji rubbed his hands together and asked them expectantly.

"Honestly, what do you think of the name Aurora Imperial Court? Cool or not?"

"Huh? It's alright, I guess?"

Asagi clearly lacked interest in the topic.

"I think it works. At least it doesn't clash with the names of the other three True Ancestors' empires!"

Kojou analyzed it quite seriously.

"Exactly! I deliberately chose 'Imperial Court' to distinguish it from those three True Ancestors' empires!"

Eiji kept slapping Kojou's shoulder and laughing heartily.

You really get me!

After all, the Blazing Shining Night Lord is a thing of the past now. The current Fourth True Ancestor is Eiji, not that hero from before, so of course we need a new title different from the Blazing Shining Night Lord!

Although Kanase, Yaze, and Nina all sincerely thought the empire's name was cool, "my wife's praise is biased"—it's better to ask ordinary people whose opinions are more reliable!

"Where's Kiski? Why haven't we seen him at school?"

"What do you think?"

Kojou looked at Eiji with a helpless expression.

"His father died, and the senior he had a crush on went to be with someone else. He must be crying his eyes out right now!"

Oh.

Yaze Akira was Yaze Kiski's father. Although Kiski was just the son of a concubine and Akira never cared much about any of his sons, blood ties are blood ties. Kiski couldn't remain indifferent and must have returned home for mourning.

"Why does it feel like there are more and more people?"

Kojou looked out the window.

The crowd gathering outside the window kept growing, including not only students but teachers, and even some figures who appeared to be working adults.

"Someone posted on the school forum saying A-li has returned to class."

Asagi waved her pink phone.

"Don't mind them. They'll disperse once Natsuki-chan arrives."

Eiji waved his hand dismissively, looking completely unconcerned.

"You're not actually enjoying this situation, are you?"

Kojou eyed him suspiciously.

I've never seen this bastard enjoy studying. Now that he's become the Emperor of the Night Empire, he actually comes back to school for classes? Given his personality, there's only one possible explanation!

He came back specifically to show off!

All those gazes around him - whether they're in awe of his emperor status or infatuated with his looks - bring him nothing but pleasure!

"Excuse me, classmate, could you please switch seats with me?"

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from the seat to Eiji's left.

Kousaka Sayaka, carrying her own desk, strode over to the position on Eiji's left and made her request to the boy sitting there with overwhelming momentum.

Whether intimidated by her presence or unable to handle the pressure of sitting next to Eiji, the boy quickly agreed.

Sayaka nodded with satisfaction and settled in on Eiji's left side.

"Kousaka-san, is it really appropriate for you to change seats without the teacher's permission?"

Aiba Asagi instinctively sensed danger and cast a wary look at Sayaka.

"I bear the mission of facilitating communication between my organization and the Fourth True Ancestor! This is only natural!"

Kousaka Sayaka stood her ground, her face tense.

"That was before! Now your organization is just under Aki's command! Do you really still need to serve as a bridge?"

"Actually, I'm also responsible for protecting Eiji! After all, His Majesty has a special status and can't be left exposed and defenseless before ordinary people!"

"That's definitely an excuse you just came up with!"

"So what!"

The two were like needle against wheat awn, their foreheads pressed fiercely against each other.

"What's all this noise? Everyone return to your seats!"

Natsuki Minamiya entered the classroom, glaring at the two with visible frustration.

Unnoticed by anyone, the crowd that had gathered outside the window had already dispersed.

"Wow! Natsuki-chan has grown up!"

"She's my type!"

"Dammit, where's my black-haired loli?"

Whispers mixing surprise and resentment came from the male students.

"Though it's quite sudden, today our class will welcome two transfer students! Both of you, come in!"

Natsuki Minamiya waved toward the door.

Immediately after, a tall, beautiful girl with long black hair stepped onto the platform with a calm, composed smile and wrote four large characters on the blackboard: "Kirisaki Koyoha."

"I'm not interested in ordinary people. I have only one goal - to become the consort of the Aurora Imperial Court! Or rather, I already have the status of consort in fact!"

Aiba Asagi turned back in shock, looking at Eiji with disbelief.

When did you pick up this woman?

What do you mean by having the status of consort?

It couldn't possibly mean what I'm thinking, could it!

Kousaka Sayaka also wore an expression of barely contained shock.

The Six Blades of the Imperial Agency had already advanced this far ahead of her?

The higher-ups of the Lion King Organization had recently been urging her to quickly cook the rice with the emperor - should she be a bit more proactive?

Kirisaki Koyoha stepped down from the platform and, without another word, took the seat on Eiji's right that originally belonged to Yaze Motoki, then cast a charming look at Eiji.

Wanna hook up?

Hell yes!

Eiji immediately signaled with his eyes.

"Good day, everyone. My name is La Folia Rihavein. Since Feiqi classmate has spoken so plainly, I won't beat around the bush either. Actually, my target is to become the Empress of the Aurora Imperial Court!"

The silver-haired princess smiled charmingly, unknowingly stealing the hearts of countless innocent young boys.

But have you discussed such words with Giada?

"Damn it! Are the beautiful girls in this class destined to be beyond our reach?"

"You could try hitting on them."

"Trying would be suicidal! I'm not stupid!"

La Folia descended the podium with elegant steps, her gaze sweeping around Eiji before finally settling behind him.

"Excuse me, Kojou Akatsuki, could you lend me your seat?"

"Sure! I've had enough of this damn guy anyway!"

Kojou Akatsuki happily moved his seat away.

La Folia naturally took the seat behind Eiji.

"Enough! This is a classroom, not a place for you to flirt and compete for affections!"Nangong Nayue slammed the lectern angrily, glaring at the group."

Eiji smiled faintly without responding.

Though that may be true, it seems there will be plenty of days ahead for flirting and competing for affections!

"With the Holy Annihilation obtained, everything now depends on the Type-Moon World."

Eiji looked out the window, his expression growing solemn.

"The UO tournament has finally begun..."
