Chapter 1307: Return to Daily Life
The entire world seemed to have shared a collective dream.
In this dream, Earth was consumed by boundless flames, and human civilization was utterly destroyed.
Yet when everyone opened their eyes, everything had returned to normal.
People went back to work as usual, students returned to school.
As if that dream was truly just a dream.
Only the former 300,000-plus participants knew it wasn't merely a dream—it was a reality that had once transpired.
They understood even more clearly—this Earth had undergone a fundamental transformation.
An unprecedented Earth UO had been born on this planet!
"Who is it?"
"Who ultimately emerged victorious!"
All magi descended into frenzy, while the Holy Church's faith plummeted dramatically.
Every being, human and non-human alike, frantically searched for the champion who had triumphed in the UO finals.
All were drawn by profit, all moved for gain.
Few knew the true identity of the UO, as most had been eliminated midway through the competition. Some, having been charmed by Kishinami, couldn't even recall events clearly.
Britain.
"Your Majesty? Queen Majesty?"
Morgan opened her eyes to find unfamiliar subjects before her.
Immediately, memories flowed into her mind.
She was the first in line to the British throne, having become the current monarch after the previous king, the Black Spear Artoria, passed away.
Outside the palace, decorations hung everywhere amid New Year celebrations.
Baobhan Sith and Woodwose stood guard on either side of the entrance like loyal sentinels.
"I see, so this is the Britain he gifted me?"
Morgan rose from her throne, extending her magical perception outward.
This was a Singularity world.
No, calling it a Singularity wasn't quite accurate—that was already in the past. Through someone's efforts, this Singularity had become a parallel world within the Type-Moon World.
Ancient rulers and heroes naturally existed in the modern era, governing nations.
No one found this strange; everyone's common sense had been altered.
Was the Holy Sword of Selection truly this powerful?
"Mother! Mother, what's happening? How come when I woke up, my injuries were gone, and I've become the princess of this strange Britain?!"
A fairy with long crimson hair burst into the hall, questioning Morgan with an incredulous expression.
"Baobhan Sith, you've awakened too?"
A rare, content smile graced Morgan's face.
In a corner of the palace, Artoria Caster nearly buried her face in her chest. I've taken your place as the daughter figure, I'm so sorry!
In the sky, a jet-black mechanical dragon soared freely, while a white-haired knight watched from below with yearning eyes.
"This is Britain—my Britain for a long time to come!"
Morgan took a deep breath, feeling intense satisfaction.
In this parallel world, she could reign as Britain's monarch to her heart's content!
"Prepare an itinerary—I wish to visit the island nation in the Far East!"
"As you command, Your Majesty!"
...
Far East, Kijō City.
The sun leaped above the horizon, casting its rays through the window.
Eiji opened his eyes, sat up, and silently slipped out of bed.
Pulling back the curtains, he saw an emerald green forest outside. The weeds in the yard hadn't been cleared for who knows how long, now nearly as tall as a person.
"Close them, it's too bright! And we were so tired last night..."
A dissatisfied grumble came from the bed, sounding like someone still half-asleep.
"Hehe, Aoko really can't handle it."
Another voice seemed already awake, teasing Aoko.
"Shut up, foolish Touko! You weren't the one carrying the main firepower!"
Aoko Aozaki fiercely smacked Aozaki Touko in the face with a pillow.
Then she lay back down, turned over, and continued sleeping, revealing her smooth, fair back.
Touko chuckled as she got up, left the bed, and began handing Eiji his clothes from the floor.
"Any plans for today, Master?"
"Going home for a bit. Need to return something I borrowed."
Eiji closed the curtains and put on his clothes.
Watching the obedient Touko and the sulking Aoko put him in a good mood.
Last night he had stayed at Alice's place, where he somewhat reluctantly sang with Aoko. Midway through, he called Touko over, and while Aoko was still dazed, successfully achieved the sister combo.
"What about tonight then?"
"I'll be going elsewhere."
"I understand."
Eiji left the bedroom.
But in the living room, Alice stopped him, silently handing over a pair of scissors.
"Lodging fee."
Eiji suddenly understood, then clipped off two pieces of his white nails, which she carefully collected.
These were ultra-rare materials unique to Earth!
After leaving Alice's place, Eiji immediately returned home.
"A-Li, you're back? Miss Kishinami has been waiting for you all night!"
Minamoto no Raikou was the first to greet him, pointing to the brown-haired girl on the sofa.
Kishinami Hakuno was sitting there.
Eiji knew exactly why she had come.
"Let me borrow it a little longer, I'll return it right away."
Hakuno tilted her head, but soon understood and readily agreed.
Eiji took out the Ring of Kingship and the Seiken Saint Killer.
"Grant me the skills of Self-Nullification Denial, Parallel World Intervention, Soul Materialization, Time-Space Travel, Clairvoyance, Independent Manifestation... and so on!"
With Mooncell's assistance, Eiji obtained skills approximating the Five Magics.
Though not the Magics themselves, they could achieve effects identical to magic!
Infinite magical energy was just a side effect.
The Root itself lost its significance in this moment.
This was something even Cain, the founder of the Saint Killer, couldn't accomplish!
Because the Saint Killer's only flaw was its inability to be used on oneself.
But that limitation only applied when Cain alone controlled the Saint Killer. Eiji found a clever workaround - using the Seiken Saint Killer to activate the Saint Killer while remaining detached from the process, thus gaining the means to use it on himself!
Eiji swung the sword, creating a wormhole before him, and without hesitation jumped inside.
He arrived in a bizarre, kaleidoscopic space where countless parallel worlds flashed before his eyes.
"Zelretch? That old man really isn't dead!"
A figure in the distance caught his attention, and Eiji murmured to himself.
The two exchanged glances across the void.
Then each went about their own business, neither disturbing the other.
After all, with so many parallel worlds, they could play as they pleased!
"This isn't me being cowardly!"
Zelretch muttered to himself.
Only after watching Eiji disappear into the gap did he finally let out a deep sigh of relief.
"Ah, even Earth has a UO now, and it seems quite powerful. Compared to this, Crimson Moon appears rather cheap... The days of Magicians looking down from above are long gone!"
