Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: An Unexpected Kiss

Saturday had arrived. Lucas stood in front of the station, waiting for Takagi, who had just sent a message saying she would be there soon. Today was their first date after all the drama that had unfolded, and Lucas tried to stay calm.

Takagi finally appeared, dressed in casual attire that still reflected her elegant style. A long-sleeved blouse with a knee-length skirt, paired with low heels that made her look more mature than usual.

Lucas let out a low whistle. "Whoa, you look different today. Are you heading to a job interview?" he joked.

Takagi scoffed and crossed her arms. "Idiot. I wouldn't bother dressing up if it weren't for this date."

Lucas chuckled and offered his arm. "Alright, Miss Takagi. Lead the way."

Takagi huffed but still accepted his arm, and they began walking together.

They spent the day strolling around the city, visiting a few shops, and eventually having lunch at a quiet restaurant. Takagi seemed to enjoy their conversation, and Lucas felt comfortable as well.

However, what surprised Lucas was how much more open Takagi was than usual. She smiled more often, laughed freely, and wasn't afraid to show her playful side.

As they walked home, the sun began to set, painting the sky in shades of orange. In a quiet park, Takagi suddenly stopped.

Lucas looked at her in confusion. "What's wrong?"

Takagi gazed at him with a serious expression before softly saying, "I want to make sure of something."

Before Lucas could ask what she meant, Takagi suddenly grabbed his collar and kissed him.

Lucas' eyes widened in surprise, but he didn't resist. The kiss wasn't long, but it was enough to make his heartbeat race.

When Takagi pulled away, her face was slightly flushed, but she still maintained her confident expression.

Lucas blinked a few times before smirking. "Well… I didn't expect you to take the initiative."

Takagi let out a small huff as she touched her lips. "I just wanted to confirm my feelings… and yours."

Lucas looked at her deeply before smiling. "And? Are you sure now?"

Takagi stared at him for a moment before nodding. "Yes. I like you, Lucas."

Lucas let out a small sigh and rubbed his head. "You know… I like you too, Saya."

Takagi smiled in satisfaction. "Good. That means you can't run away from me anymore."

Lucas chuckled before taking her hand and holding it firmly. "I don't plan on running."

They continued their walk, their hands still intertwined, letting their feelings grow naturally under the beautiful evening sky.
