Kaito got up in defeat of his lose against Lai, and thought to him "Well since I have no job to call my own I will need a job, but what job would that be I heard Lai talking about being a mercenary or something like that" he began to wonder around for a while in hopes to find the registration place, he thought of a better idea, "What If I just ask the locals for help that would prove much better than just going around the Capital like a idiot" , so off he went to ask the locals, he saw a old lady struggling to carry some heavy luggage so he went up to help and just before he was about to ask if he can help, the old lady started to use magic to lift the luggage! he was taken aback by this, this reminded him that he is no longer on earth, he is on a new planet a whole new universe, this was the spark, he realized no one knew him here, he could propose a whole new personality which the people of this world would find interesting, this is almost like a new life, a fresh slate, he can leave the old world behind, "Man what I wouldn't do for a smoke right now, I think I still have pack on me right now? Ah here it is *looks inside the packet of smokes* there is only one left I see, that's better than nothing I assume" Kaito takes out the smoke, takes the lighter which was still safe after all he went through and he lit it, yes , Kai was still only 18 and he is addicted smoking! well these are some side affects of seeing his uncle smoking, Kai had great memory that's the reason for his excellent grades, due to the workload of his 3 jobs, he found it 'relaxing' when he smoked.

Kaito was not so surprised by this as, in one of his jobs the older coworkers used him as a excuse to get out of trouble, they pinned almost all the blame on him to just save their sorry ass skin, "I am grateful for your worry Sir but I assure you that I know very well how dangerous it could be, both of my parents died to the hands of a monster you see, but as far as I am concerned I would be happy if you showed me my way" Kai promptly answered to the man, the men were in silence, they kindly showed Kai his way.
While walking to the guild " I pulled that lie out of my ass and they trusted me, that's rare I mean part of it was true, I didn't even now there was something as a Mercenary guild, guess my intuitions are right sometimes, and I am also out of smokes, I wonder if they sell any." at the end of his smoke and thought, he had arrived in front of the guild, he knew one thing it was either going to be a piece of pie to get registered or it would the hardest thing ever.
As he opened the door he saw many tables, not only tables but a end number of people Men and Women alike, they were dressed quite shabby, Kai thought it was like a uniform for mercenaries as they didn't have time to dress fancy, everyone was looking Kai , they have him a look as if they wanted to leave the place immediately, the room which once was full of noise , fell short to being loud when he entered, a woman stood up and approached him, she stood much taller than Kai, she thought she was the superior foe, "Get lost kid this place is not for the weaklings like you" Kai was terrified, not only did this woman scale much more taller than him, she also had big enough muscles she could crush his skull in one go, yet he was aware of one fact, "If I let my foe know I am much weaker or I am scared of them I will not be able to live my life to the fullest!" he thought like not breaking eye contact with the tall muscular lady.
" I am sorry milady, I didn't mean any disrespect, I just came in hopes to avenge my mother and father by becoming a mercenary myself, now if you excu-", The lady grabbed him by the collar and raised him up like you do to a child, "We don't care about your stupid family, if we say you are not coming in you aren't coming in got?!" That had done it that was the last nail to seal the coffin, he was furious, "Skill active 'determination' " Kai crawled up the lady's arm and got behind her neck, he crossed both of his legs in between the Lady's neck and used all of his force to strangle the woman, she was about to hit the ground hard but a spilt moment before she did Kai jumped off , Kai made it seem like it was easy but inside he was screaming his legs were shanking like crazy he didn't have the will to speak anymore but he couldn't let someone just slander his family name, he then so spoke up with pride, "No matter how strong the opponent, if their guard is down and they think you are weaker, you can win any fight with ease, now let me make myself very clear I am Skinwalker or the Undead, and I shall be know by that name from here on!"
The crowds silence was deafening, until one person started to clap ever so gently, then a another person began, and a another, this went on till everyone in the room was clapping for the amazing speech that Kai just gave, but under that courageous look that Kai had, he was shaking in his boots, he didn't want to move another muscle but he needed to to register. So he walked up to the front desk, the lady at the front desk was still sleeping, Kai thought, how can someone sleep through all that ruckus, he tried to wake up the lady, but she wouldn't budge, while everyone were still screaming like wild animals, as soon as the receptionist lady woke up, dead silence once again, Kai couldn't understand it how can a room go ballistic forever and be stopped by something as simple as a lady getting up, "You look like a new guy, must be here for registration, place your thumb here and we will scan your mana and I will give you, your card stay right there I will be right back" Kai was left with no words, he couldn't say a word he didn't think it would have been this easy to sign up!, as the lady was going to the back after he placed his thumb, she fell right to the ground with a loud thud, everyone ignored this as it was a daily occurrence!!, but soon she just got up on her own and went to the back, did something involving multiple box's to fall and came back in front, threw me my card and said " Now be lost go slay a Plant-Vex abominations and bring us the proof, only then you will be registered, now go shuu shuu " waving me off as if I were some dog, I had the thought of death pass my mind, as when I first got here one of those had almost taken my life I didn't want a bitter end I wanted a happy end! as well as I didn't feel so welcomed when she told me to piss of like I was a dog, and since I was so nice, I asked the receptionist in my offence 'nicely', "Look here you, you will answer me as honestly as you can, why did you just throw my card you don't have basic etiquettes? And you are making me run away like a dog, what is your reasoning for this huh?"
The woman stepped back with astonishment, the lady suddenly jumped near the desk and spoke with an angry face "For your information mister! I have been working since last night non stop so I want to get my sleep in, and the reason I threw your card is I am too lazy to hand you your card! Many people have come to register for many a days but no one has passed the task and I am sick and tired of making a happy face for everyone that comes in and out!" It was a marvelous speech she just gave but that was the last of a energy that she had, she soon passed out after that, Kai was in moveable he was scared that he was the cause of her fainting, a few men from the crowd got up and walked behind the counter and picked the girl up and said "Skinwalker, please go easy on her she is trying her best here, she is the best person we all know so be gentle on her and let her sleep for a while, we understand that we look terrible people but we just want the best for everyone you understand? we know you can do the quest right? After the big speech you gave us you can do that much right?."
I didn't want to do anything, I didn't want to do the quest I was about to die in the forest already, and I am not willing to go back there just to be near deaths door once again, and I was already warned by Lai not to go again in the forest, so I am not going!!, until one of the other receptionist came from behind and said "You must be wondering, where you can find those wolfs to fight them, I would be very glad to help you." I looked behind my myself to see a glasses lady with green blue eyes, which I described it as if they were warping me into her dimension, and staring right through my soul, but I was able to snap out of those eyes, and as I took a closer look at her badge on her collar 'Guild association - President of receptionist'
I quickly bowed my head to her and said immediately without hesitation " I am so sorry for the trouble I caused miss president! I didn't mean any harm to miss receptionist over there! I was just asking questions" and I quickly wanted to leave out of here , as I was about to walk away, the Miss Pres. laughed quietly with a tear in her eye, "Don't worry about it kid I was here when I heard your glorious speech and how you knocked out Big Breatha, she was causing some trouble around here , but deep inside she just didn't want an another person die after so many died while doing the quest *walking towards a chair and pulling it out and sat on it with elegance* well that's the fate of a mercenary, there is nothing we can do, it was the weakness of themselves, that they were not able to do the quest" she spoke of these as if she had seen people die in front of her eyes, she just sat there not even bothering to look at my direction, as I wanted to leave immediately I went to the doors, and as I was about to close them behind myself, "You can find those wolfs in the meadows, you will have to go when night because they don't come out in the day, and you best something with you, well that's all the talking I am going to do" , "Well thank you for your time, I best leave now before its too late." And as I close the door behind myself, I let out a heavy sigh of relief, now was the time that I use the money that got out from Breatha while I was jumping off her neck.
He bought himself a dagger and with it a nice long red coat, which looked good on him, the coat didn't serve any special purpose, he just bought it because he had some extra money lying around after he bought himself the dagger and a nice meal with it, before he went to the quest he decided to look at his card, check his status, and stay in a inn for the while he was staying there, "How much would that be for 5 nights" I asked the gentleman who was running the small but comforting inn "Since you are not from here , I will give you your first five days for free, on the house go up to room 12 from the right after you take the stairs" I was eternally grateful to that man ever since then. I sat on the bed and I started to think about the quest and the card, I looked closely at the card and I found out that it somehow scans my whole body through that thumb print, it even got height, weight, and even my level!, this was some amazing tech, then I remembered the day when I was getting transported here and what that entity was saying and I had a passing thought, he mentioned that I would get some random skill, that I would get by luck so it could either be really good or really bad "The system has acknowledged a hidden skill, Skill : 'Decipher' has been bestowed upon the user" I heard the system inside my skull once again, I had enough of the system screaming inside my skull.

" I thought this was a dream, I tried to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming but I was not!, this was a skill that could come in handy!, as it did have its flaws and it wasn't the skill I was hoping for but it was better than nothing, I thought to myself " From today onwards the rise of the Skinwalker shall begin!!"
