The café was tucked in a quieter part of the city, a place where people met for business and not casual chatter. Aurora's heels clicked against the polished floors as she stepped inside, her sharp gaze scanning the room.

The person she was looking for was already waiting.

A man, mid-forties, clean-cut, dressed in a dark suit. He sat at a corner table, a black folder resting in front of him. His eyes flickered with recognition when they landed on her.

Aurora approached, keeping her expression unreadable. "You're the one who texted me." She sounded very certain when she spoke.

The man gestured to the chair opposite him. "Sit."

She didn't move. "You have five seconds to tell me why I shouldn't walk out."

The man smirked. He flipped open the folder, as if he had expected such a question from her. He slid a single document toward her.

Aurora glanced down—

And her blood ran cold.
