Laws?
Zane blinked at the floating system prompt, confused.
What laws? he wondered, the words echoing inside his head.
He was so consumed by the weight of the moment that he didn't think to ask the System any follow-up questions.
"Shelby," he called out, deciding that a human mind might help where the System felt vague. "Shelby!"
The only reply was the sound of deep snoring. Dead asleep.
Zane frowned. That wasn't going to stop him.
He stomped over to the couch and gave Shelby a solid kick.
Shelby shot up, startled. "What the—?!"
"One last question," Zane said hastily. "Do you know anything about Laws?"
Shelby blinked blearily at him, then slowly rubbed his eyes. "Oh? So you've already figured that out?"
Zane nodded with a proud smile.
Shelby sat up straighter on the couch, suddenly more awake. "That masked lady… yeah. She used Laws in that punch she threw at you."
