Chapter 465 - Chapter 464: The Clash of Mangekyo Sharingan

Chapter 464: The Clash of Mangekyo Sharingan

The Five Elements Great Consecutive Bullets Technique was not something one could use just by knowing the five natures; it involved many complex skills.

It took Ikura many years of research to learn it. Ishiro hadn't known it before, and although he had read Ikura's notes, it should have taken him a massive amount of time to master.

However, with the help of Madara Uchiha's ninjutsu notes, Ishiro's understanding of the five elements had deepened considerably. The key chokepoints that Ikura's notes said required trial and error, Ishiro now understood without any experimentation.

Thus, the Sage Art: Five Elements Great Consecutive Bullets Technique had naturally become Ishiro's current strongest offensive jutsu.

Ishiro's confidence in challenging an entire village alone came from this new ultimate move.

Holding nothing back, Ishiro went all-out. His four shadow clones and his main body each cast an enhanced A-rank Sage Art.

The single, massive attack completely exhausted all of Ishiro's senjutsu chakra.

Only after the five Ishiros had launched their jutsu did Pakura's Scorch Release attack finally reach him from the ground.

Rasa's eyes looked ready to split. He roared, "Gold Dust Tsunami!"

Rasa was also using his full power. He was frantic. He had witnessed Ikura's Five Elements Great Consecutive Bullets before.

But Ikura used five A-rank ninjutsu.

What was Ishiro using? Five A-rank Sage Arts, and by the looks of it, five enhanced versions with maximum senjutsu chakra output.

Ikura's version was already stronger than an ordinary S-rank jutsu, rivaling a Tailed Beast Ball.

So what level would Ishiro's version reach?

Rasa, who had never witnessed the battle between Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha, couldn't even begin to imagine it.

Rasa exhausted his chakra, manipulating as much Gold Dust as possible to form a thick defensive layer over the Suna army.

Hearing the panic in Rasa's voice, the Suna ninja, though they didn't know what jutsu Ishiro was casting, immediately activated their strongest defenses.

Individual sand shields enveloped the partitioned squads of the Suna army. One after another, earth walls rose, forming new defensive lines inside the sand shields.

Beyond that, the Suna ninja themselves began to sink rapidly, burying themselves deep underground.

It seemed Rasa was prepared. This was the Land of Wind, his carefully chosen battlefield. He just never expected to be forced to use these defenses by Ishiro alone, before even seeing the shadow of the Iwa army.

The next moment, Ishiro's Sage Art: Five Elements Great Consecutive Bullets Technique exploded.

Five A-rank Sage Arts, each enhanced with maximum senjutsu chakra, already surpassed a typical S-rank jutsu. When these five exploded in unison, the power far exceeded a Tailed Beast Ball. According to Ishiro's own classification, this was "Beyond-S-Rank."

This was Ishiro's second Beyond-S-Rank jutsu, after his Mind's Eye, and it was an offensive one!

The epicenter of the explosion was actually not far from Ishiro himself, and unlike the Suna ninja, he had no defenses in front of him.

But Ishiro was prepared.

The instant his senjutsu chakra was depleted and he exited Sage Mode, he contacted little Saiken (the Six-Tails) within the Gedo Statue fragment on his back. He instantly entered the Six-Tails Chakra Mode.

At the same time, he immediately used the Light/Heavy Boulder Technique to fly higher into the sky.

As he flew, he focused his attention below, one hand outstretched, ready to defend against the coming blast.

However, he hadn't even felt the shockwave yet when he sensed the incoming Scorch Release attack.

Ishiro's face darkened. "Shinra Tensei!"

A single Scorch Release attack from that distance couldn't harm him, of course. Pakura's intent wasn't to wound him, but to interrupt his Five Elements jutsu.

She was one step too late.

But it was still annoying. By wasting Shinra Tensei on defending against the Scorch Release, he was now in a bad spot for the main explosion.

After neutralizing the attack, Ishiro once again used Porcelain Release, encasing himself.

But Ishiro, knowing a little physics, didn't form a simple sphere. He shaped the porcelain around him into a giant ice-cream cone, with the pointed end facing the epicenter of the blast.

The next moment, the shockwave hit.

The porcelain cone did its job. The force of the blast deflected along the cone's tapered edges, helping Ishiro divert the force.

But Ishiro, along with his porcelain cone, was still blasted high into the sky.

The immense impact caused the porcelain to slowly disintegrate. By the time he was blown an unknown distance, the porcelain was gone. The aftershock began to eat away at his Tailed Beast Cloak.

The cloak didn't last long before it was depleted.

Ishiro immediately switched to the Seven-Tails Chakra Mode. That, too, was consumed before the blast subsided. He then switched to the Four-Tails Chakra Mode, which he had never used before.

Finally, he came to a stop.

Barely managing to stabilize himself with the Light/Heavy Boulder Technique, Ishiro stared at the mushroom cloud dozens of kilometers away, a profound fear lingering in his heart.

That technique was far more terrifying than he had imagined.

Even he, the caster, who had been fully prepared, was nearly taken out. He had been sent flying dozens of kilometers while diverting the force.

Konoha Village.

As the enraged Uchiha clansmen gathered on the street, shouting for the overthrow of the village leadership, Shisui Uchiha, Fugaku Uchiha, and Izumi Uchiha finally arrived.

Seeing the three most influential members of the clan, the crowd quieted down slightly.

One man suddenly stepped forward, an elder of the war faction. "Lord Fugaku, now is the perfect time to overthrow the village leadership!"

He continued, "We just got word. Of the 3,000 troops the village gathered, 1,000 left with Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzō Shimura. The other 2,000 have also been sent to the front lines!"

"The village is empty! It will take time to muster new forces. This is our chance!"

"Lord Fugaku, if we break into the Hokage Tower now, those 'small clans' won't have time to react."

(A note: The "small clans" this elder referred to were the Hyuga, Nara, Yamanaka, Sarutobi, Akimichi, Aburame, and Inuzuka. Any clan that had to rely on the village leadership for their status was, in his eyes, a small clan.)

The shinobi world once had two great clans: Uchiha and Senju. Now, there is only one: the glorious Uchiha.

This was the prevailing view, and the expressions on the other Uchiha faces showed they agreed.

Truthfully, Fugaku Uchiha was very tempted by the fact that the leadership's Kage-level fighters were gone. But his personality was what it was: he lacked decisiveness.

The Hokage isn't out of troops; they just haven't been mobilized. Why did Tsunade send three armies without mobilizing the clan children? It was to guard against the Uchiha.

Fugaku knew the true obstacle to an Uchiha rebellion wasn't just the high command, but these "small clans," not the thousands of civilian-born ninja. As long as those clans didn't move, the pressure on the Uchiha wouldn't lessen.

Besides, I have a double agent standing right next to me, Fugaku thought, glancing at Shisui. A surprise attack? Impossible.

But while Fugaku considered the bigger picture, others did not.

For example, Izumi Uchiha.

Izumi Uchiha had awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan precisely because of the traitor Shisui. Her hatred for him surpassed even her dissatisfaction with Konoha's leadership.

She believed Fugaku's hesitation was only because of Shisui. So, she made a decision that stunned Fugaku.

"Shisui Uchiha!" Izumi roared.

Shisui instinctively turned his head to look at her.

Shisui was not like the Itachi Uchiha of the original story. Itachi was more cautious, more extreme. He had the conviction to kill his entire clan, so he trusted no one.

But Shisui did not. He was naive, believing he could persuade them. Thus, he had very little guard up against his fellow clansmen, even Izumi.

So when she called his name, he looked.

Shisui saw a field of crimson.

Mangekyo Sharingan? Why did she awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan? This was his first thought.

He didn't realize that when his eyes met her Mangekyo, his own Mangekyo activated passively in response.

Then, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his eyes. It was the same feeling of emptiness he got when overusing his Susanoo's power.

Shisui panicked. I'm caught in her Mangekyo dōjutsu!

He was a genius, after all. His combat instincts took over. Though he couldn't break eye contact, he used a Body Flicker and vanished from his original spot, moving from memory.

Phew... Feeling the sensation of being drained disappear, Shisui finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He touched his face and found it was covered in blood, all of it streaming from his eyes.

He cast a terrified glance in Izumi's direction, then quickly averted his gaze. I can't meet her eyes.

In truth, Shisui didn't need to be so cautious. Izumi's condition was even worse than his.

She was too young, her foundation too weak. Forcibly activating the Mangekyo Sharingan had left her, too, with blood streaming from her eyes. Her body couldn't handle the backlash, and she couldn't even stand steadily.

Her dōjutsu was Plunder, which stole ocular power. But the dōjutsu that was plundered took time to convert. The cost of activating her own jutsu, however, was immense and immediate.

For the moment, Izumi's body had given out from the massive consumption of ocular power.

Only when Izumi swayed and was about to collapse did Fugaku and the others react.

Some gasped in horror, others in joy.

"Izumi, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

"Well done, Izumi! That's how you treat a traitor!"

"Shisui is injured! Everyone, attack! Gouge his eyes out!"

"Lord Fugaku, kill Shisui, and let's attack the Hokage Tower!"

"Izumi is hurt! Protect Izumi! Medic! Where is the medic?"

"Block Shisui! Don't let him ambush Izumi!"

Fugaku hadn't even said a word since arriving, and the scene had devolved into utter chaos.

He roared, "All of you, BE SILENT!"

Fugaku was in a terrible mood. He hadn't expected Izumi to be so reckless.

She had just exposed her Mangekyo ability, just like that. A trump card like that should only be used when you're certain you can kill the witness.

If she had just discussed it with him beforehand, he could have coordinated with her. By now, Shisui's eyes might already be in his possession.

Shisui had escaped. It was unlikely they would get a second chance.

Hearing their leader's roar, the crowd reluctantly quieted down, though they kept a wary eye on Shisui and didn't stop tending to Izumi.

Fugaku said, "Take Izumi to be treated first."

"Yes!" Those closest to her lifted her and ran toward the Uchiha's own medical facility.

Fugaku gave Shisui one last look, said nothing, and waved his hand, dismissing the crowd. He then followed the group carrying Izumi, leaving the street.

With Izumi injured, the rebellion was naturally postponed.

The Uchiha on the street didn't seem to find the sudden shift in mood unacceptable. One by one, they shot hateful glares at Shisui, then dispersed.
