Chapter 4 - Mission Rescue

The dimly lit prison corridors echoed with the clanking of iron chains as Lirion's soldiers dragged the frightened Aetherian children through the stone passageways.

A massive iron-barred cage loomed at the end of the hall. One by one, the soldiers shoved the children inside, their terrified eyes darting around the dark, damp cell.

The last child, barely able to stand, was thrown in roughly. He hit the ground with a soft thud.

A gruff soldier smirked, slamming the cage door shut with a loud clang.

Soldier:"Stay here and don't even think about escaping. It's useless."

He leaned closer, his cold, merciless eyes scanning the trembling children.

Soldier:"If you want to leave, then tell us about YT… or you'll end up like that brat."

The children shuddered, eyes wide with terror. They knew nothing about YT, but the memory of Dex's lifeless body still haunted them.

The soldiers laughed cruelly before turning away, leaving the children in the cold, dark cell.

The camera shifts to a vast desert landscape—the golden sands stretching endlessly beneath the scorching sun.

A montage begins, showing Mark, Elisa, Sofia, and Starmon traversing the harsh terrain, determined and resolute.

Mark, at the front, leading the way, his eyes filled with unwavering determination.Elisa, shielding her face from the blistering winds, glancing at the horizon.Sofia, looking deep in thought, occasionally stealing glances at Starmon.Starmon, gripping his sword hilt tightly, his mind set on finding the Hero.

They finally reach the outskirts of Moonveil, a city built within the desert, its towering walls shimmering under the sun.

As they approach, dark storm clouds begin to gather over the city.

Mark: (clenching his fists) "We're here."

[Screen fades to black as the music intensifies.]

The darkened streets of Moonveil lay in eerie silence as Mark and his companions cautiously entered the village. The soft flickering lanterns barely illuminated the desolate paths. They moved slowly and carefully, their footsteps muffled by the dust.

Suddenly, a chilling scream broke the silence—followed by the sound of whips cracking against flesh.

They froze, eyes widening as they turned toward the commotion. Lirion's soldiers were tormenting the villagers, mercilessly striking them while the rest of the town watched in fearful silence.

Some villagers shut their doors, peeking through small gaps. Others trembled behind wooden carts, too scared to move.

After a few agonizing minutes, the soldiers left, laughing, their boots clanking against the stone roads as they vanished into the night.

Mark clenched his fists.

"What the hell is happening here?"

As the last of the soldiers disappeared, Mark and the others pressed forward.

Near a small firepit, an old man sat hunched over, his two young daughters clinging to him tightly. His worn-out face reflected both fear and defiance as he glared at the approaching strangers.

Old Man (raising his voice):"What do you want now?! I won't let you take my daughters! Stay away from us!"

Mark's eyes widened."Daughters?"

Starmon quickly stepped forward, raising his hands defensively.

"Don't worry, Uncle! We aren't here to hurt you!"

Elisa:"What's happening here? Why are you so afraid?"

The old man's wrinkled hands trembled as he tightened his grip on his daughters.

Old Man:"Don't try to fool me! I know you're one of Lirion's men! But this time, I won't be deceived!"

Mark's thoughts raced.

"Lirion's men? Fool? What does he mean?"

He took a step forward and spoke firmly.

Mark:"I don't know what you're talking about, but trust us—we're not with Lirion."

The old man hesitated, his wary eyes scanning their faces.

Old Man:"Then… who are you? Why have you come here?"

Sofia:(calmly)"We are Aetherians. We're here to rescue our people."

A sudden hush fell over the village.

People who had been hiding behind crates and windows began to emerge. Some opened their doors slightly, while others peeked cautiously from the shadows.

The old man's face darkened as he muttered.

Old Man:"Aetherians? But… wasn't your land under Zarek Duskbane's rule? If you're here, and Zarek finds out—"(his voice trembled)"—you've brought another disaster upon us…"

Elisa:"Zarek is dead."

The villagers gasped. A wave of whispers spread among them.

"Zarek is dead?"

"What if Lirion finds out? Or worse… Malakar?"

The old man staggered back, his face turning pale.

Old Man:"If Zarek is gone… then why have you come here? You should have left those people to their fate. Now Lirion will come for all of us!"

Mark narrowed his eyes."Left them?"

His voice grew firm as he took a step forward.

Mark:"Then tell me something—when we arrived here, why were you afraid? Why did you say you wouldn't let us take your daughters?"

The old man's lips quivered as he clutched his daughters protectively.

Old Man:"Because… because they are my family!"

Mark's expression softened for a brief moment. Then, with a determined fire in his eyes, he declared:

Mark:"And they are my family!"(clenching his fists)"I won't let a single one of them die. Their lives are my responsibility!"

A small voice broke the tension.

A young girl, no older than seven, stepped out from behind a wooden door. She tugged at Mark's sleeve, looking up at him with tear-filled eyes.

Little Girl (softly):"Big brother… will you save my mom?"

Mark knelt down, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

Mark (smiling gently):"Don't worry. I will rescue all of them."

The old man's eyes filled with tears. His tough exterior crumbled, and he fell to his knees.

Old Man (bowing his head):"Who… who are you?"

Mark:"I am Mark. Chief of Aetherium… and son of the former Chief, Drac."

A wave of realization swept through the villagers.

One by one, they rushed forward, bowing before Mark, their voices filled with desperation and hope.

Villagers:"Please, save our families! Save our children!"

Even the old man, once skeptical, lowered his head in submission, tears streaming down his face.

Old Man:(pleading)"Please… save my son and daughter!"

Elisa, Sofia, and Starmon stepped forward, gently calming the distressed crowd.

Mark turned to the villagers, his eyes blazing with determination.

Mark:"Do not fear! We came here to save everyone!"

He paused, scanning the hopeful faces around him.

Mark:"But I need your help. You can aid this mission by telling me everything you know about that castle…"

His gaze hardened as he raised his fist.

Mark:"Because we're about to begin… 'Mission Rescue.'"

[Screen fades to black.]

Mark and his companions silently slipped through the castle's back door. The stone corridors were eerily empty, their footsteps echoing faintly against the dimly lit walls.

Mark scanned the surroundings, his instincts on edge.

Sofia (whispering):"Mark, don't you think this is suspicious? Look around… we've barely seen any soldiers."

Elisa (thinking aloud):"Maybe they're all guarding the prisoners?"

Mark nodded, though his brows furrowed.

Mark:"Maybe. Either way, Plan A is complete. Now, let's move to Plan B."

As they prepared to split up, Starmon stood slightly apart, his face tense with unease.

"Why hasn't Hero shown up yet?" he thought, his fingers unconsciously gripping his cloak.

Mark noticed and stepped beside him, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

Mark (softly):"Are you nervous? If you don't think you can do this, say the word. We'll find another way. Don't force yourself."

Starmon exhaled sharply, shaking his head.

Starmon:"No, I can do this… I was just thinking about something else."

Mark leaned in, whispering close to his ear.

Mark:"I believe Hero will come. You just have to trust him."

Starmon's eyes widened slightly before he clenched his fists.

"Trust Hero... I have to trust him."

With newfound determination, Starmon turned and moved toward the prison chambers.

[Scene Change – Prison Entrance]

The cold iron doors of the prison stood tall, guarded by 15 armored soldiers, their halberds resting at their sides.

Starmon stepped into the torchlight, facing them head-on.

One of the soldiers snapped to attention.

Soldier:"Intruder!"

Before they could react, Starmon raised his hand, chanting quickly.

🔥 "Fireball!" 🔥

A small, flickering sphere of flame shot forward—

—And barely singed their armor.

The soldiers stared at him. Unharmed. Unamused.

Starmon froze.

"Oh… crap."

Soldier (grinning):"You must be joking."

In an instant, the guards lunged at him.

Starmon turned on his heels and bolted.

His heart pounded as he sprinted down the halls, knocking over vases, wooden crates, and decorative banners in his wake. Each crash slowed the soldiers slightly, but they were still gaining on him.

As he ran, Mark's voice echoed in his mind.

[Flashback – Mark's Plan]

The team stood in a circle as Mark laid out the strategy.

Mark:"Plan A: We'll sneak in through the back. But most of the guards will likely be near the prison. We need a distraction."

Starmon:"I'll do it."

Sofia (shaking her head):"No, Starmon! It's too risky—I'll go instead."

Starmon:"You're our healer. You're the most important member of the team. And you're a competent swordsman—you should be inside, saving people."

Sofia (hesitating):"…Fine. But we have to make sure we get you out safely."

The old man from Moonveil stepped forward.

Old Man:"There's an emergency gate behind the east wing. Once you're done, we'll use it to extract Starmon."

Mark:"Then it's settled. Plan B: Starmon distracts the guards while the rescue team sneaks in. Once we secure the hostages, we escape through the emergency gate. After that… we take down Lirion Faelthorn."

Everyone placed their hands together in unity.

Everyone:"Mission Rescue!"

[Flashback Ends – Back to the Chase]

Starmon gritted his teeth, dodging around a sharp corner.

"Come on, guys… I did my part. Now it's your turn."

The soldiers chased after him, unaware that Mark and the others had already slipped past them, moving toward the hostages.

Mark, Elisa, and Sofia stepped cautiously into the prison chamber. The air was thick with the scent of rust and damp stone, and rows of iron-barred cages lined the walls, filled with weary, frightened prisoners.

As they moved forward, a voice suddenly rang out—

Aetherian Kid (panicked):"No! It's a trap!"

Before they could react, the floor beneath them trembled—then, with a loud clank, the center of the room lurched upward.

The prison chamber vanished from sight as the platform rose, stopping abruptly in an elevated throne room.

A chilling, mocking voice echoed through the vast chamber.

"Surprise!"

Lirion Faelthorn emerged, his piercing gaze filled with amusement.

Mark, Elisa, and Sofia instantly fell into defensive stances.

Mark (thinking):"What!? How!?"

Elisa (clenching fists):"This was a trap from the start..."

Lirion (mocking):"Impressive, Aetherians! What a well-thought-out plan… Sacrificing your weakest swordsman to die? Truly commendable!"

Starmon kept running, his breath ragged. He swerved left, heading toward the emergency gate, relief flickering across his face—

Only to freeze in horror.

The rescue team lay in chains, captured by Lirion's soldiers.

Before he could react—

SHIIING!

A sharp pain tore through his back.

Starmon's body lurched forward as a soldier's blade slashed across his spine.

With a cry, he whirled around, summoning his sword, but—

He was too slow.

The soldier's blade ripped across his chest—

And finally, drove straight through his chest.

Blood spilled from Starmon's lips as his vision blurred.

His body crumpled to the ground.

Through his fading sight, he saw something far worse—

The rescue team being slaughtered.

Darkness closed in.

Scene[Throne Room Battle]

A sudden movement in the shadows—

Dark figures emerged, their hands raised, fingers crackling with curse energy.

🔥 "Firestorm!" 🔥

A barrage of fire magicrained toward Mark and his friends.

A massive explosion engulfed the room in flames and smoke—

But beneath the chaos, a golden light pulsed.

Sofia's Shield Magic had held.

Mark (yelling):"Attack!"

The battle erupted.

Mark charged forward, clashing swords with a curse user. Sparks flew.

Sofia fought alongside Elisa, but—

A curse user raised his staff.

🔥 "Infernal Fireball!" 🔥

A huge ball of flamehurtled toward Elisa.

Sofia threw herself forward, chanting desperately—

"Divine Shield!"

The barrier formed—but it wasn't enough.

BOOM!

The explosion blasted both Sofia and Elisa backward.

Sofia crashed against the stone, groaning in pain.

Elisa lay motionless.

Mark's eyes widened.

"No—!"

Before he could react, cursed shards rained down on him.

He slashed through most, but some pierced his arms and legs.

Breathing ragged, bleeding, he dropped to one knee.

Lirion laughed.

Lirion:"So these are the mighty Aetherians? The great 'heroes' who would save them?"

He grinned darkly, stepping down from his throne.

Lirion:"If you're here… then Hero will come soon. Until then—"

His curse users raised their hands, preparing their final spell.

🔥 "Curse Explosion!" 🔥

SHIIING!

But The curse users suddenly collapsed.

A figure in a black robe stood at the center of the battlefield.

Her long sword glowed with fire, her stance unyielding.

She faced Lirion, unmoving.

Lirion narrowed his eyes.

Lirion:"Hero's woman. That means… YT is here."

He stepped forward, his smile widening.

The robed woman suddenly dashed forward at blinding speed, sword raised—

But she struck nothing.

Lirion had vanished.

Lirion (whispering in her ear):"What's wrong?"

She spun, slashing, but again—nothing.

She gritted her teeth, eyes darting around the battlefield.

Suddenly, A rain of black arrowsshot toward her from all directions.

 "Flame Vortex!"

She spun her sword, creating a whirlwind of fire that destroyed the arrows.

The smoke cleared and Lirion was gone.

Then A dagger suddenly plunged into her back.

Lirion (whispering coldly):"Do you remember this?"

She staggered, pain searing through her veins.

She whipped around, swinging her sword—

But he was already gone.

Her vision blurred. Her legs weakened.

Lirion chuckled darkly.

Lirion:"Even you... can't escape my poison."

The robed woman, despite her wounds and the poison coursing through her veins, stood firm.

"We won't be defeated by you!"

With a powerful swing of her sword, a wave of fire erupted toward Lirion—

But in an instant, he teleported behind her.

SHIING!

She reacted fast, spinning with a backward slash, but—

CLANG!

Lirion blocked her sword effortlessly with his bow.

Lirion (mocking):"It's useless... You demons should know your place."

With a smirk, he pushed her back and in the same motion—

A brutal kick sent her skidding across the floor.

Before she could recover, Lirion vanished again—

Then reappeared behind her.

"Too slow."

He punched her face with full force.

Her body flew back as her hood slipped off, revealing—

A young girl with blonde hair and piercing red eyes—a demon.

Blood spilled from her mouth, her body trembling as the poison took its toll.

She gasped for air, her hands shaking, then—

Lirion aimed his bow at her.

Lirion:"That's it then… I'll finish you first. Then I'll deliver your hero's head to my Lord Malakar."

A dark energy arrow formed at his fingertips.

Tension filled the room.

 Lirion released the arrow—

 "NULL."

A blue circle appeared in front of the arrow—

💨 WHOOSH! 💨

The arrow vanished.

Lirion's eyes narrowed.

Everyone turned to look.

A man in a black robe stood before them.

Lirion (annoyed):"Man, you're ruining my fun! Can't you come a bit earlier?"

The black-robed man—the Hero—stood unfazed.

YT:"Sofia! You're the healer—heal her!"

Sofia's eyes widened in shock.

Sofia (thinking):"How does he know my name!?"

But she didn't hesitate. She rushed to the demon girl's side and began casting healing magic.

Lirion gritted his teeth.

Lirion:"Hey, stop! You can't just—"

SHOOM!

Before he could finish, YT appeared in front of him in an instant.

A devastating punchcollided with Lirion's chest—

The impact sent Lirion flying through the castle roof.

The battle had just begun.

Lirion landed outside the castle, rolling on the ground before coming to a stop.

He stood up, wiping his mouth, adjusting his jaw.

Lirion (grinning):"Man… That was strong."

His eyes gleamed with excitement.

Lirion:"You're not ordinary… but you won't leave here alive."

He twirled his bow, and in a flash of dark energy, it shifted into a dual-sided blade.

A deadly weapon that could still fire arrows from the center.

YT gripped his sword tightly.

The air crackled with tension.

Both warriors rushed forward—

 CLASH!

Their blades collided, sending sparks flying.

YT pushed Lirion back with force, slashing forward—

But Lirion flipped back and fired arrows in rapid succession.

 THWIP! THWIP! THWIP!

YT simply raised his hand.

"NULL."

Every arrow vanished.

Lirion sighed, shaking his head.

Lirion:"Bro, you can't just spam the same spell! You're getting boring."

Then his grin twisted.

Lirion:"But your girl? She was interesting. Maybe after I kill you, I can convince Lord Malakar to—"

 YT's eyes flashed.

YT (growling):"Ughh—!"

SHOOM!

Without warning, YT hurled his sword straight at Lirion.

Lirion instinctively teleported.

Lirion (smirking):"What was tha—"

 SHOOM!

YT was already in front of him.

A brutal punch—

👊 Another. 👊

👊 Another. 👊

Each hit landed with bone-crushing force.

YT grabbed Lirion by the throat, leaped into the air, then hurled him downward.

 CRASH!

Lirion's body slammed into the ground, and his dual-bladed bow clattered away.

YT stepped forward, placing his foot on the weapon.

"NULL."

 The bow disintegrated into nothing.

Lirion staggered to his feet, laughing mockingly.

Lirion:"Whoa, are you mad 'cause I talked about your woman? Then listen—"

His grin darkened.

Lirion:"After I kill you, I'll do far worse to her than you can imagine—"

SHOOM!

Before he could finish, YT's fury exploded.

YT vanished—then reappeared behind Lirion.

"DIE."

A devastating punch sent Lirion flying into a wall.

 BOOM!

Smoke engulfed the battlefield.

Mark, Elisa, Sofia, and the demon girl (leaning on Sofia for support) emerged from the castle.

YT moved toward the smoke.

The battlefield was silent.

Then YT saw nothing except a dagger there then Mark's eyes widened.

Mark:"WATCH OUT!"

 SHOOM!

Lirion emerged from the shadows, a dagger aimed straight at YT's back.

At the last second, YT grabbed Lirion's wrist.

Lirion (grinning):"Got you!"

He used his other hand to yank off YT's hood.

THWIP!

YT crushed Lirion's wrist, forcing him to drop the dagger—

Before it even hit the ground, YT snatched it and drove it straight into Lirion's neck.

Then With pure, unrelenting force—YT ripped Lirion's head clean off.

Lirion's lifeless body crumpled.

YT's head turned from the force—

His face now visible to Mark, Elisa, and Sofia.

Their eyes widened in shock.

Suspense filled the air.

The camera moved in slowly…

The Hero, YT…Was Starmon but with red eyes.
