Chapter 8 - 8 - Constant Event of Shifting Reality [II]

I have begun to explore in this unknown location. At first I was at the top of the head, and now I am in this destroyed city. I walk across the crumbled road, each step padding on the cracked pathway.

I have not been ambush by a bloodthirsty creature just yet, so it is safe to let my guard down for now.

Through the broken buildings I had walked past them, I saw nothing but destruction and flames as far as my eye could see.

The environment remained peaceful and quiet, despite the chaotic flames everywhere; thick smog covered the entire sky.

The intense silence of this abandoned city has helped calming my senses.

If that were the usual case, why do I still feel unsettled?

The tension is eerie. And somewhat disturbing no less. I am not really comfortable when the place is too quiet.

Could it be my mind imagining the possibilities from the future, beyond the unknown?

Calm down, █████. Take a deep breath and inhale...

I drew a deep inhale and long exhale. Maybe I was overthinking over a minor issue. Better yet—Paranoid.

I thought.

A harsh sting jolted across my entire body after I had slapped myself on my cheek, leaving a faint red print.

Driven by uncertainty, I did do it; I slapped myself, hoping it could be the cure for this irritating, intrusive feeling.

There, and with that, I will be more focused from now on.

The intrusive feeling has been faded on me. Like a heavy weight has finally taken off from my back.

As such I went to my next move, I tried to recall the memories next about what had lately happened.

Luckily, the fragment is clear, but the ending is hazy.

According to my memory, I was standing at the top of the serpent's corpse, which I had slain, gazing at the view of the town's current state.

The sun was hidden by the clouds, its shining warm light casted on my body and its gentleness was like a smooth, tender kiss.

The view there was incredible and beautiful, but still tragic and pitiful.

My eyes were mesmerized by the beauty of the horizon, along with the peaceful biome where the town settled in the middle of the terrain—In the vast, beautiful meadow.

Then an unfortunate event happened that left me by surprise.

My body stops, it was like... How do I describe this... Shutdown. Followed by my vision going black, and a sudden collapsed.

That was the only thing I felt of motion I remembered right before I lost my consciousness. Hm... Though, it was like I have fainted.

I'm pretty sure it had happened because my stamina had been drained out, my saliva had become dry, and I felt a strong sense of fatigue. All due to the never-ending chase.

Or maybe the apple I ate might affected me badly?

Either one of those two might have been the cause of my sudden collapse, but it remains a theory. Even though the apple was really juicy and tasty. I liked it more than the apple in my world.

The eerie silence in this destroyed city still haunted my gut.

Wherever I go, no matter any direction I take, my sight meets the same image of the destruction of countless buildings and an engulfing sea of fire.

The cloud in the sky, even the breeze is thick in smog, and ashes came from never-ending flames, and the wind carried with small debris, yet I can breathe freely, yes, without a single cough.

It was an unnatural sense, unlike its usual logic. Normally, when someone inhales ashes, they will cough over and over, and they will get severe illness in the lungs. However, it did not affect my lungs whatsoever.

The logic has shattered?

This means I can breathe safely without worrying about my own health. This is so bizarre.

A few minutes later. I had realized I walked through the destroyed city for quite a while, so I decided it was time to find some shelter to rest. Not long ago, I found it.

I took a rest in the ruined building to my right, sitting on the dusty staircase.

I do not even care if the dust will stain my pants, I just sat here and wait for the time until my stamina has recovered.

While I am recovering my stamina, I started to think about how I can entertain myself, then an idea hit me...

A thought came and whispered its suggestion to me- I should daydream to satisfy my boredom. And it can also helpful to waste time.

It has convinced me, and I do it.

'How is my bro capable sending me into this world?'

A mysterious question had not been answered, but that was just a random thought, which intruded in the midst of my daydreaming.

Until it became the main hypothesis I must be focusing on from now on.

For the past few minutes, I have finally felt my stamina has recovered. And it was time to continue wandering around the city to see if there were any hidden clues to discover.

I might have a chance to find the mysterious answer behind the tragic fall of this city.

I have continued going on walking toward the north direction.

I have explored and explored, over and over again, for couple of minutes.

Then took many breaks from time to time from walking and taking numerous directions on my journey in this forsaken city.

I halted to gaze on the ruined buildings briefly, then I continued onward.

There was nothing worth noting, nor have I found any clues, not even a single piece.

I exhales a long, disappointed sigh; my hands are clenching, but an emptiness fills the air in my palm, throughout the exploration.

I had nothing. The time that went by was in vain. Anything what valuable in this city was gone.

I had not encounter a single being, a stray animal, even just a survivor, actually.

This hellish city has been forsaken, for probably long gone before I came in. Nobody knows, even I, where are the survivors.

Except for one thing, there was a building, that is a sole exception among any other buildings.

It that caught my attention previously. Its height surpasses the height of all the buildings in the city. As if I am staring at the skyscraper.

The way its architecture was built, it must have been from the 15th century, really the oldest building among them.

Plus, it also makes it different and unique among the ruined modern buildings.

It's a black clock tower that seems out of service, but it is not moderately destroyed like the other buildings.

And yet strong and still sturdy enough to stand firm from the look of it; it even has potential use as shelter.

It is the same building I am glancing at right now. I can see the silhouette of the building visible by the surrounding lighting of the flames, forever burning buildings; however, this is the only building unengulfed by the flames entirely.

I had seen numerous buildings burning throughout my journey here; they were enveloped whole by the hellfire while the others were enveloped only in one place, either it is the roof, the second floor, or the entrance.

Even now, the flames are still burning, and I consider it unnatural.

The clock tower, on the other hand, is an exceptional building that has not been consumed by the flame nor has it been destroyed or collapsed.

The most noteworthy detail of this tower is its unique design on the big glass clock frame. It has a star-shaped point for the hands and it will forever remain pointing in the Roman numerals.

The hands are frozen—the minute hand was stuck at thirty-three while the hour hand was stuck at three!

As for the hand for the second, it appears to be broken in half, but still, it is stuck on pointing to apparently fifty.

I am amazed by its gothic architecture and its breathtaking height too. I stared at it for a short time, and then I continued exploring right afterward.

I must go on, but this time my idea is different—I will rather find a way to leave this apocalyptic city.

I began to walk, another walk, my feet padding the cracked road, over and over until I eventually came to a stop to rest.

Have I ever walked for over an hour or above, probably? I pondered the unsure feeling.

I am sure I have came here before. Probably?

I look around the surroundings. I froze on seeing a familiar view.

I am standing before the clock tower once again. I have returned to where I was from the previous moment.

My mind was trying to understand if this was a coincidence or a sense of Deja vu.

Numerous thoughts are swirling around my inner head as it becomes overloaded.

A mild headache struck me because of the overwhelming confusion to the sudden event. And to overthinking also.

Ugh! My brain hurt! It is too much to handle...

I rub my temple with gentleness. Then, next, is my forehead. Yet, regardless of the pain, I must press on. It is just that a sense of Deja vu is holding me down.

Besides, I won't like to stay in this hell for long. I need to return to this body's home before anybody suspects I was gone.

I began to move with courage.

I had explored this ruined city for a while now, until my mind have counted my attempts escaping this wrecked city have reached eleven.

The sense of Deja vu remains haunting me.

I am becoming more and more confuse. It is stressing me out.

It was barely breaking my mentality on how bizarre that experience was.

This constant, bizarre issue...

I must resolve it somehow!

I cannot handle this repeated familiarity any longer...

I must hurry!

So if I always choose the same directions, I am standing in the same spot where I was. And if I do it again, I am basically walking in a circle. I rub my chin.

In that case...

Now, in this present case, I'm analyzing the path to where it should lead me to leave this city.

In my first take, I chose to keep walking ahead in the right direction, leading me to where I was before.

So I shall start an alternative idea then. In this twelfth attempt to leave this apocalyptic hellhole, I have chosen the idea to pick the left direction continuously.

After a couple of minutes had passed, I could finally feel I have successfully manage to quit this deserted city.

Goodbye!—

What is this...?

I somehow returned to where I was before. Again.

Strange.

I am standing before the clock tower again. The confusion started to overwhelm me; I was sadly unable to utter a word about this sudden phenomenon. A words have finally formed and escaped from my mouth.

"I-I must have taken a wrong turn...?" A stammered. That single sentence was the only thing I have spoke away on confusion.

The quietness become intense. And so did

I proceeded to explore once again, and in this third attempt, I made a different choice. I took something along the way.

Later, upon reaching the end, I was standing in front of the doorless entrance of the clock tower—its door, however, was obliterated into several pieces, scattering onto the floor closest to the doorway.

From what I remember from my previous attempt, I was standing right in front of the clock tower; Meanwhile, in this present outcome, it is different than the previous.

It is an uncanny.

In the middle of questioning... A thought has appeared in my mind, so without ado, I followed it. With no hesitation.

I bent over and placed something from my hand near my foot, and once again, I explored my way to leave this city for the fourth time.

In the end, I arrived and met the familiar sight once more, facing the doorless entrance.

I drew a breath first before I went toward the thing I had placed where it sat in the middle of the street, forward pointing near the entrance.

Thus, I can finally conclude my theory was right. The experiment was a success.

I have revealed what is the phenomenon that tricked me for the twelfth time was a loop.

I am trapped in its hand unbeknowst to me. I have no way of breaking its string eventually. I have nowhere to escape except...

The entrance, which have became somewhat enticing to enter at that moment. How strange.

I approached the entrance and entered inside a little bit but with caution. I began investigating the doorway for any sign of trap.

So far, there has been no trap triggered upon entering, plus everything inside was bathed in dust and webs in the corners.

It is safe to lower my guard. Beyond the doorway lies an eternal darkness.

I have placed my hand against the wall and kept it there as I walked past the doorway.

It's dimly lit; the only light comes in is from the entrance. My eyes blanked by the thick darkness, but I can sense my way through by tracing the wall with my left hand. With it as my guide, I am no longer get lost in the darkness.

I go into this dark space. As I walked further, I began to sway my other hand to feel a touch, but at any moment, I eventually tripped on something in the dark.

I gave the surface underneath me a single pat with my palm, hard pat echoed. I gave it another pat again just to be sure. Despite the darkness that blocked my vision, I could feel it.

Simply judging by its structure and how I feel its texture--it should be a staircase, it is even bathed in dust. The dust stuck to my palms, but that minor problem didn't discourage my curiosity to crawl my way upward through the staircase.

In the middle of my crawling journey to the top, my hands, their palms slid across the next step and met only empty air.

The sudden void beneath my hand punched horror straight into my chest, as though my heart had been seized and squeezed by unseen claws.

I had nearly fallen into the abyss, and how close I had come to vanishing forever.

Gradually, I began to lean away from the edge.

"That scared me...!" I stared across the dull darkness, pulse hammering, every breath I drew was heavy.

Despite the horror, my curiosity pushed me to move forward, but the fear of the unknown held me back.

I stared in two directions: toward what lies beyond ahead, and toward what lies behind me.

My desire tempts me to gamble with my life, but I refuse. I have chosen to decline risking my own life for something that is beyond the space.

I value my dear life, so I chose the safer way; I crawled backwards, with caution, descending the staircase, my knee padding onto the dusty floor, one at a time.

Until I reached the ground level, I lifted myself from the staircase. As I turned my feet, I marched forth toward the entrance and exit.

At a distance not too far, I found the pebble in the straightforward direction where I had left it. It was four meters distant from the entrance of the clock tower.

I took the pebble with my right hand, clenching it in firm tightness. And then I have returned to the clock tower.

I go proceeded on to the dusty staircase once I entered. My shoe nestled the first step, then I drew courage to overcome the fear of what lies behind the darkness, as I walked through the shadowy staircase.

While I walking through the dark stairway, my free hand traces the wall to my left, whereas my other hand still clenches a pebble in my palm, swinging from side to side in the empty air to my right as my guidance.

A staircase without a handrail, that is hidden in the space where a light could not reach, is not very dangerous or frightening at all.

However—

I paused for a brief moment to fling my feet forward into the darkness to check if I had reached the edge of the staircase.

I have not reached the end yet; my feet landed on the next step. I continue onward with thirty-one steps.

Later...

As I take one more, my feet have felt an empty space.

I quickly pause my motion, at the same time gaining balance so I won't fall into the dark pit.

"I'm dead! Almost dead!" The surprise pierced its blade deep into my heart. My heart is beating rapidly. My forehead is sweating. My jaw clenched. My left hand held deeper onto the wall for a comfort.

With a cautious swing backward, I placed my feet onto the stone surface in peace.

I tried to calm myself via doing inhale and exhaling on repeat as my heart has calmed down a bit.

I have made it. I have finally reached the edge. A relieved sigh slipped through my small gap of my slight opened lips. My entire body has cool off except my heart which still beating swiftly.

—A stairway with a sudden end in the darkness is even more deadly.

I lift my hand and I focus to transfering my strength into the hand that was now clenched tightly around the pebble. I positioned my arm at an accurate angle to estimate how far the small stone may land across what beyond the end.

I hope there is a continuation of the stairway over there.

I threw the pebble beyond the edge with all my might.

There was a short silent, before there is sound of a thud echoes in the darkness, broke the silence for a second. The pebble has landed at the otherside.

Yes! It's there! I clenched my hand and swing my elbow backward a bit, in triumph.

However, the next step is the tricky part. My hand subsciously unclasp into a fist.

It is...

I will jump. The problem is I have not know how long the distance to get there. Neither it is a short distant or a long distant to get there.

I won't risk my life for something dangerous like this.

But that is what a moron would think.

Risking something for anything valuable like this is where you will create a new way whenver there is no ways. It is humanity's natural bad habit since birth. Neither how dangerous the gamble could be.

I slowly but steady---took a couple of few steps backwards making a farther distant away from the stairway edge. For a second I hesitate, a thought was suddenly appeared in my mind, thinking about whether I will go or stay until there is an another way.

As my final decision is I dashed toward the edge of the stairway.

At reaching the end I finally jumped across beyond the end.

...

...

Thud! A sound echoes in the darkness.

My foot have landed on a tough surface. But once I move forward I tripped, barely fall into the pathway.

I have found there was a continuation of the stairway beyond the end.

I continue on, by simply crawling forward across the stairway. It was a long journey until a long time have passed I eventually reached it.

I am surprised the stairway to top was longer than I could have in mind. I guess I would say I had underestimate it.

To my right there is the huge circular glass, a size that can surpassed over my own height. Behind the transparent glass are the clock tower's frozen hands.

There are more something else than that huge, yellow-colored circular glass. The whole interior have cobwebs at every corner, unworking iron gears, and a gigantic bell right above me, I inspect its inside.

It has a couple of webs everywhere and in the shadow, a spider was moving somewhere across the vast web. It seem it is the home of a small family of spider.

I left them alone as I am starting to inspect the next one that caught my eye. Since the moment I was searching around when before I took inspection within the bell.

To the left, beside, distant far from the circular glass where the only source of light shines, there nestled a chest.

A chest that looks like in one of pirate era. Each side have a cobweb.

I am coming close to it then I fell my knees gently onto the wooden floor board. I reached out my hand at each corner to lift up, opening the old chest and revealing its containment.

What was inside nothing but a single smartphone. I take it with my hand and leans it near to my eyes to inspect its entire body thoroughly for any permanent damage.

It is suspicious for there is a smartphone inside an old chest. It does not make any sense, because they have a large gap of history of time when they were made.

I wonder if it is still working. I did not find any damage in entirely after all.

But first I am going to cleanse the entire screen with my shirt's edge. As I proceed pressing the botton at the top right side, to where obviously the power on located. And hold it long until the screen flashes a logo.

[Commu]

That is very interesting. It is my first time to see a brand name called Commu. Despite the doubt and suspicion, I am looking forward what kinds of function does it have install for me. Unlike the IPhone.

Upon when the black screen becomes cleared, it have shown me the typical home screen of any smartphones. With a swipe of my finger, a small number of apps have appeared, loaded—fully displayed on the screen, even there are the iconic apps I can recognizes. Doodle, Hrome, and others.

That reminds me, have I deleted my browser history?

Anyway, I then take a look at its battery.

This does not looking good, the battery percentage remained left is at ten percent sadly.

Seems I have a short time to explore this phone. I need to be quick---

What's this? As I swiped the screen to next slide there is nothing but just one app, underneath it is its name, Note. I reaches my finger onto the screen and tap the app by curiosity.

Once it opened there is just a single note it only has, with a title: 4U. I press to open it also.

It says:

[Wherever you go, you mustn't cross him.]

[Whatever you do at pathway, don't meet him. Flee.]

[Whenever you'll do. You must escape.]

[Whatever u do, don't forget this.]

[He is everywhere. Hes looking at me.Hes not from this world.]

[Thiss a warning from those who reading this note. Beware, hes there.]

[Every move you do, he knows. Every pathway, he knows.]

[He doesn't belong here. Yet he knows where, when, who, & how.]

[FLEE. ESCAPE.]

[Take this warning.]

[Whatever you do at the pathways, you must flee.]

[Whatever you do at the pathways, dont interact with him.]

[whTAever you 0d at patHWAYS, dont t0RN BACK1]

[Wherever you go dont cross path.]

[What8ev you o9 fee]

[whatebr u do flee]

[DONT]

[Wherever youre at the pathway, you must escape]

[Whenever you are in the pathway, don't meet him.]

The unknown message repeated over and over followed by a sequence a sort of code.

[251521118514152011215145]

[3d 2a 7f 32 19 55 60 0e 2c 7b 41 1d]

And lastly, there is a final sentence at the end of the message, underneath the codes as I scroll down.

[Beware of the Tyrant in King's garment.]

That is where it ended. Although there were a typos but I could still understood them.

After I had read the entire message, a slight shiver ran down on me. I also overwhelmed by confusion and uncomfortable.

I do not understand anything but I can understand that this Tyrant is up to no good. It is obvious because the name implied.

So I suppose this Tyrant was responsible on the city's destruction except this tower.

And I am starting to wonder why did he spared it only, also.

...

Suddenly I could just feel the floor rumbled.

Shake!

Kurak~! Kurak~! Kurak~!

There goes again. Another trembling occured.

"This is unbelievable!"

Another shake occured but for the third time seemly its strength has been increase a little. Because the tower as if going to fall.

But fortunately the power was not high to collapse the tower.

The next shake I anticipated had not yet come, at least for now.

"What's the big deal, huh?" I murmurs. "Isn't because of this message...?" I lowered my head, looking on the smartphone still in my right hand. This should not be connected to that sudden shakes. Still my disbelief remains.

I decided to check the phone again for the message but instead to I got greet by the screen displays [TIME'S OUT], and then the phone shutdown automatically at the remaining one battery percent was gone.

"This is the worst day." At once the shake continues. However this new strength...

It is stronger than the previous tremur.

Rumbles! The rumbling of the tower is indicated the beginning of its destruction.

The angle of the floor begins to fall. Everything including me, are pulling towards the corners with a strong force.

Criek!

"Ah.. Ah!" I tried to crawl upward desperately, gripping onto the floor, but the moment my body rolled into my end. It was too late.

The floor's angle had been destroyed. The balance is no more. The imbalance remained left and I.

The force is strong, it is pulling me toward the edge. My whole body slides to the wooden railing. My feet landed onto it and to the left is the stairway.

With a relief sigh came out of me, the pressure is not there anymore, which was once overcome me.

I thought I was safe until---

Sooner the floor changes fully into a vertical angle, give rise to the continuation of another chapter of my life titled:

Life the b*tch has strike me again.

---I began to fall from the top and the chest is falling also by the high velocity. In my death, It seems of I had someone joined in to my downfall.

In the middle of falling to the bottom, I saw something familiar that I went past by.

"Well... Would you look at that. Just one broken stairway. I was expected it was longer. So I was overdramatic and overthinking for nothing? I am disappointed for myself." My tone was mixed with flabbergasted and embarrassment after.

Since I am still falling and falling so by boredom I start to count from hundred.

"Ninety-nine."

"Ninety-eight."

"Ninety-seven."

"Ninety-six."

"Ninety-five."

"Ninety-four."

"Ninety-three."

"Ninety-two."

"Ninety-one."

"Ninety."

"Eighty-nine."

"Eighty-eight."

"Eighty-seven---" I stops counting when I can see the end of my life's journey before I know it, when I looked down to see if I am near toward the surface shortly afterward.

The free falling was quite fast.

The first thing to hit the surface was the chest, which had landed perfectly by its bottom against the floor while its mouth was also opened.

I am, my whole body, falling directly into the chest's opened mouth awaits on the ground floor.

Splish!

Inside the chest there something had suddenly ignited in the darkness. A spark of violet light illuminates the dark briefly, then comes with a queer hum. That goes---

Leyrah!

The emptiness within it no more but filled with sensation of magical I had felt on falling midway into the chest.

A splish of sound what I had just heard for a mere second. It was the only thing I have remembered, right before I am in sort of new place again.

As I open the lid of my eyes, I am facing the hard wooden floor board. I lift my head and I met the brightness of the lights. Thus In a moment after a couple of voices broke the long silence.

"Get out!"

"You have ruined the moment!!"

"Report! Report him!"

"Booo! Booo!"

"Take that nobody out!!"

Those are what they said at me. Still I have not understand why they hate for whatever reason.

I had been clueless since then when I was fresh to the new scene until their voices became synchronize on stating with only a single sentence—

"GET OFF THE STAGE!!!"

The high brightness of the lights had faded, quickly after that loud shout.

Bam! With the flicker of spark flashes to my entire eyesight, The blurry image of the background had been vanished. I can eventually know where I am. All thanks to it.

I can finally see it everything right now!

The light's sources were belongs to those stage lights. Across where I am currently standing is a crowded house. There a short silent in a second before an unpleased voice has loudly spoken.

"What sort of trickery is this?!" The one holds an authority in the front center of the house, rose among the crowd. His sharp gazes holds a sheer power, that given me with an overwhelm, disturbing sensation that going through the body.

Right comes next are the foot soldiers in white clothings, sprinting to each side of the stage, from the left to the right. Their footsteps were like a rumbled lightning: loud and strike terror.

My mind was swirling in anxiousness about what had I committed? Though, I have arrived without with any kinds of troubles and doing mischievous have just yet.

However, those foot soldiers had moved into where I stood in the front center of the stage, almost reaching the edge of the large floor board in wooden texture. Even when the authoritative person have not says another word or even shout a commanding order.

That man... is not worth to be underestimate.

The Bam! of a loud thud echoing across the auditorium. They had reached to my spot, the foot soldiers rest their hands on my body with agility, then I got pushed into the floor.

The left side of my head fell against the floor roughly with all forces. As I gasped in sharp pain and I also hisses upon the impact.

But still, even in under my position, I heard of something—an audible steps.

It was really a pity, that I am unable to move my head in this situation. Because—

I lifted my head from floor with all of my strength I have got, to break from their restrain. But the hand of foot soldier, grasped on the submit of my head overpowered my strength. Eventually my head was pushed into the floor, my face cheek is firmly against it.

As long as the foot soldiers remains on me, I won't ever able to do anything.

To fight back! And escape!

On the right and the left, somebody watching me. A bystanders, sort of a performers, are laid their eyes over my cornered, helpless scene.

The buttons in their faces, certainly serves as an eye, it gave me an eerie feeling---the creeps and unsettle. There are looking at me with those material eyesights.

Those eerie eyes does not blinks whatsoever, even a single time, or rotate everywhere like an eyeball. It only can do was to stare blankly without showing emotions.

Their gazes over me with that emotionless, button-like eyes, as if they almost can see through my soul.

Thud!

Those incoming steps goes quiet. I have lost for locked my focus into that noise.

I rose my vision upward as I get to meet a presence of a...

The man wears an attire of a general---a designs similar victorian era's. The fabric have a golden medals attrached to its navy blue colour, and a lot of golden accessories entirely, from the neck to the bottom.

The man, who was yelled at me at the start, and also that same man who is apparently stands right, inches across the front of my face. Along with an obvious reaction plastered in the general's expression, that could speak his visible annoyance louder than his actual quietness.

I am starting to question myself: what specific crime have I commited, to caused annoyance on him that much?

Isn't my existence?

Though, I am actually a saint for the passed seconds ago. So with these few watchers' gazes on me, there is no way I could get accuse like that.

Without even awarning, a shoe charge straight under my chin and lifts it upward as I meet a face, looking down on me. The force was gentle, in opposite. Gaze so cold, it burns to see.

As if he had dislike me for a long time.

"Carry this unwelcome guest to somewhere else he belongs." A words spoken with control. That captain's mouth was surprising, strange. The soldiers clads in armour quicken their paces and forcing me to stand up. Rather of gentle treatment, they instead drag me toward the staircase of the stage.

My limbs are unbound by their grasps, I felt like I had been in this same situation, as I get even drag into the exit door with two soldiers come and opened the door for us.

My feet still trails on the floor each drag. To them I am nothing but an empty doll in prisoner of war clothing. I cannot help but feel only helpless. Why is that?

If I were stubborn, they would beat me up until my body learned every pain as if I almost died, until even I know my place. That is the reality of prisoner of war, who stuck in the enemy's hands.

We have walk passed the doorway, those two soldiers still remain to pull the handle afterwards.

But I caught a glimpse of a person between the closing gap, who stood on the stage. She was beautiful, her long hair is golden. She wore in bright, songtress dress.

On seeing that, there is no fear strike me down—

The wide door has completely closed.

—It came back... I spoke too soon.

The general is on the move to follow the foot soldiers as well, heading to exit the stage. He swayed his navy blue cape. But he unfortunately interrupted by a recognizing voice, leaving him in halt on the midway.

"Mister Captain... I must say your reaction was quite fast." A male voice, then he adds, "To my surprise, I never acknowledging one could pop out nowhere, let alone from the chest though."

"Why, thank you. I'm afriad your compliment is irrelevant for now." He looks at the entrance where they went. "That stranger whom was blasted off from the chest, must carries uncertainty—I'd deny myself caught slacking." He lifts his hand and he clench it into a fist tightly. "You may consider my motive is justified."

"Of course. I had no doubt about you ever since forth. Hence why my father chose you."

"Regardless my motive remains unchanged."

"I know what you are thinking. Are you assuming he might be..."

"Yes. He might even do something ridiculous. So I won't tolerate this opportunity slips by."

"Oh... Pray tell?"

"With a single glance at him, an unease sensation creeps all over me. Neither believe me or not... But I can comprehend is this: hemust be chained." The general glances at the familiar figure sitting besides his left arm, "Pardon me. I must be going." He faced him with a bow. By a simple yet respectful nod, he continues his way into the certain door where they had used it, leaving the big room with the audiences who are still puzzled in silence.

His departure has leave an expression onto his well-known acquaintance. "You have felt an unease sensation?" He muttered in the long silent.

He holds on an incoming laughs by covering his mouth with single hand, now it turns into a quiet chuckle. The mysterious acquaintance grinned because he found it stupid.

"Impossible... Ridiculous. How can a mere stranger can given you that feeling?" He murmurs. His curiosity has reached its peak, now it locks on that visitor.
