Chapter 19 - Calm Before the Iron Storm

The night passed after significant events. Both the first and third elders were left at the royal treatment headquarters, the protective barrier around the combat arena was improved, and security was upgraded to the maximum.

The first elder's condition was far more critical than the third's, who had sustained severe injuries.

Tonight, the fight was between the second elder and the fourth elder. Everyone was excited for this battle...

Recently, the people's talk had grown, claiming Farkan was on another level of strength due to his absence from the kingdom for a time. They also believed the second elder was either as strong as the first or slightly stronger.

Farkan sat with his dark eyes closed, breathing calmly and relaxed.

"I currently have a great understanding of the Frenzied Blood Path, and all the abilities are suitable."

"Hmm, if things get worse, I'll have to surrender. I won't take risks against the second."

Farkan always weighed the pros and cons of revealing his strength.

He rose from the bed, grabbed a bottle of wine, poured it into a glass, and took a sip.

He recalled the person who entered the battle arena, mocked the king, and nearly killed the first elder.

"Amazing, these events are starting to excite me!!!"

He was in the third elder's palace since his own had been destroyed, but currently, his palace was undergoing complete reconstruction.

After finishing his fight with the second, he'd find his palace fully restored...

"Will fourth-rank abilities be enough against the second?"

In the end, he concluded it would be a tie...

Farkan's experience surpassed everyone's. Couldn't 1,000 years eliminate a fool who recently reached the fifth rank?

He drank the entire glass and placed it on the desk. "The third elder's room is full of high-quality wine."

"And also courtesans—nice, but after entering this body, I expelled all the women."

(The body's previous owner had courtesans, but after Farkan's arrival, they were all dismissed.)

He fell onto the bed, slightly tired. "Damn, it seems I drank too much."

"I'll sleep a bit."

.

.

At the Demonic Alliance headquarters, the first deputy appeared before Mu Tiang.

"What is it, first deputy?"

"A person from the Ghost Organization in the Central Continent appeared."

"Where?"

"In the Dragonis Kingdom. I heard rumors that he mocked the king and nearly killed the first elder."

"That's great news."

Mu Tiang laughed for long seconds, then returned to his serious expression and told the first deputy to leave.

A woman suddenly appeared, her lips completely black, her hair curly and black, with a stunning body and a powerful aura.

"My dear, I hope you're happy today?"

"Have you prepared that thing?"

"Of course, my dear, but the price? Come on, I'm excited."

"I'll see it first, then decide."

.

.

The third elder opened his eyes and saw he was in a white and green place, with the first elder beside him.

"Damn, don't tell me I did this to him."

The wounds on the first elder's body were very deep, though slightly healed...

"I don't remember anything from our fight. Who was the winner?"

A healer appeared, changing the bandages every three hours to prevent infection.

"Miss..."

The third called out in a low voice until she turned to him. "Third elder, you're awake!"

"Who won our fight?"

"Well, since you're asking, the first elder was the winner."

His calm expression returned. The healer felt she had insulted the third with her words.

"But you were truly strong. Everyone present admired your performance against the first. Even the first had to use a powerful lethal move to end it."

"You should be proud." After finishing, she gave a small smile filled with some affection.

"First... you're amazing for fighting me while I used that move!"

.

.

The drums sounded loudly, accompanied by the crowd's roaring voices.

Everyone was excited, and some even capitalized on the event by betting on the winner—a good investment, especially for this night.

All the headquarters leaders arrived and took their seats. A few minutes later, the king and his deputy, Yan Yue, arrived.

"Have the first and third recovered?"

"Yes, the third elder is in good condition, but the first is asleep. A magical orb was left for both to watch this fight."

The king nodded, then stepped forward and sat on his massive, jewel-encrusted throne.

The second elder emerged from a large, tall wooden door, but Farkan hadn't appeared yet.

Farkan was warming up and stretching his muscles to avoid cramping during the fight.

Seconds later, Farkan appeared...

The referee walked to the center of the arena and shouted.

The referee signaled the start and stepped back a precise number of steps to avoid any uncontrollable injuries.

"Fourth elder, fourth elder..."

"A whole day hearing this talk, yet you're a nobody?"

Silence fell, and the crowd cheered as Farkan didn't respond...

Farkan laughed mockingly, completely unbothered, a trait of the mighty immortals.

"Step forward, second. You're fifth rank, so why do you seem flustered?"

"Ooooh, ooooh!"

The crowd roared, taunting the second for not responding to the fourth. The second ran quickly toward Farkan.

"Wild Steel Breath."

He unleashed a scream infused with a metallic aura, disrupting Farkan's energy...

Farkan cursed internally, then advanced as well.

"Savage Piercing Fist."

The second dodged Farkan's strike, grabbed him, and threw him down.

In the next moment, he was about to land a blow to Farkan's face.

Farkan jumped, dodging the second's attack. "That was dangerous. If I hadn't moved, my face would've been shattered."

"What's wrong, fourth? Step up, hahaha!"

"Rending Heart Fist."

In one step, Farkan was in front of the second, rushing to deliver the strike to his heart.

Bam...

The second flew back, then looked at Farkan and smiled slyly.

"He wasn't hurt?" Farkan wondered why in his mind.

The second revealed his defensive ability, gesturing toward his body.

"Living Iron Skin."

"But you're good—you put a small crack in it."

"Alright, alright, fourth, I think the end has come!"

After saying this, he ran toward Farkan.

The second landed a punch to Farkan's stomach, then struck his face, ear, and aimed the final blow at his neck. At that moment, Farkan grabbed his hand, threw him down with an ancient martial technique, and kicked the second's face, sending him flying as his Living Iron Skin began to weaken.

Farkan wiped the blood from his face and flew toward the second, who was stuck against the wall...

Farkan used Savage Piercing Fist again, delivering multiple strikes to various parts of the second's body upon approaching.

Farkan's plan was to completely exhaust the second and breach his Living Iron Skin defense.

The second was exhausted, his body no longer moving at full strength. "Steel Bone Seal."

After uttering his ability, the second elder's bones became hard and steely. Seconds later, Farkan stopped punching and looked at the second.

"How long will you stay like this? So the path you chose makes you a punching bag?"

The second grabbed Farkan's face and threw him away. But he didn't stop; he rushed toward Farkan, grabbed his leg, and began swinging him.

Bam bam bam bam...

He slammed Farkan's body into the ground. Farkan's body was shattered, and some bones were broken.

Farkan opened his eyes and looked at the second, who was laughing heartily while swinging Farkan's frail body.

"Fool."

Farkan kicked the second's face with his other leg in a powerful strike. After the second's disorientation, he let go of Farkan.

"I'm not done yet." Farkan noticed the Living Iron Skin had shattered and seized the opportunity.

"Rending Heart Fist."

Farkan placed his fingers on the second's chest, then...

Bam...

The second fell. Farkan disrupted the second's energy flow, allowing him to rest.

"There's a chance to win, but I feel like my body's about to explode. Most of my ribs are broken..."
