Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: I Am a Reasonable Person

Chapter 51: I Am a Reasonable Person

Uchiha Shisui was momentarily at a loss for words when questioned like that.

But it was clear that Uchiha Dali had no intention of letting it go. He kept staring intently at Shisui.

The atmosphere at the scene grew awkward and tense.

At this moment, Uchiha Fugaku, as the clan leader, stepped forward, gently patted Dali on the shoulder, and said in a low voice, "I will personally discuss this matter with the Third Hokage later."

"I will get to the bottom of it. There's no need to rush now—let's return home first."

His attitude of trying to keep the peace was exactly the same as in the original storyline.

No wonder people said Uchiha Fugaku was too indecisive to accomplish great things.

Even when the clan massacre happened, despite possessing the Mangekyō Sharingan, he simply chose to accept his fate, allowing his own son to slaughter the entire clan.

Thinking about this, Uchiha Dali felt suffocated with frustration, almost wanting to curse out loud.

"My own honor—I'll reclaim it myself. You all go ahead, there's no need to bother with me."

Taking a deep breath, Uchiha Dali turned and walked straight toward the Hokage Building, completely ignoring the reactions of the other Uchiha clansmen.

"Dali, where are you going?"

Uchiha Fugaku frowned and called out.

"Judging by his direction... isn't that toward the Hokage Building?"

Uchiha Shisui's heart tightened, and his expression changed slightly.

The other Uchiha clansmen exchanged glances, stunned and unable to react for a moment.

No one had expected this young Uchiha genius to be so direct and unyielding.

"Hey... he's not planning to confront the Third Hokage directly, is he?"

Uchiha Tekkō muttered under his breath.

If that were true, it could mean the tensions between the Uchiha clan and Konoha would escalate rapidly.

This was not a good time for such a conflict.

After all, the war had just ended.

The matter was too serious—no one dared to respond to Uchiha Tekkō, though they all had the same suspicion.

Uchiha Fugaku quickly turned to Shisui and instructed, "Stop him, Shisui!"

"Understood!"

With a Body Flicker Technique, Uchiha Shisui immediately dashed after Dali.

Meanwhile, the villagers of Konoha were still immersed in the celebrations, cheering for the returning heroes and their victorious troops.

Very few people noticed what was happening here.

Even those who did paid it little mind.

Uchiha Dali's intentions were actually quite simple.

He wanted to take control of the Uchiha clan's own fate.

He had to act while Shisui had not yet become a traitor and Itachi was still too young to be brainwashed by Konoha or turn against his own clan.

This was the perfect chance to make the Uchiha clan's stance clear to Konoha.

They needed to understand the cost of opposing the Uchiha.

However, he hadn't gone far before he sensed someone quickly approaching from behind.

Without turning around, he already knew it was Uchiha Shisui.

"You think you can stop me?"

Uchiha Dali halted and turned back to face him.

Shisui stopped about three meters away, then slowly stepped closer, speaking calmly, "I just hope you can cool down a little, Dali-senpai."

"You think I'm being impulsive? Worried I'll storm into the Hokage's office and beat up those old geezers?"

Uchiha Dali chuckled.

Shisui hesitated, momentarily unsure how to respond. He simply stood there, looking slightly surprised at the man before him, who still wore a bright, carefree smile.

Dali didn't look like someone who had lost control of his emotions.

"I'm a reasonable person. I just want to ask why the village isn't acknowledging the Uchiha clan's contributions on the battlefield."

"Once I figure this out, I'll come back. There's no need for you all to worry."

With that, Uchiha Dali turned and continued forward.

"I'll go with you, Dali-senpai..."

Still uneasy, Uchiha Shisui decided to follow along.

At the same time, he carefully observed Dali's state once more.

He still seemed calm and rational.

Before long, the two of them arrived at the base of the Hokage Building.

At that moment, in an office upstairs—

Mitokado Homura, Utatane Koharu, and Shimura Danzo stood side by side, gazing down from a one-way window.

They had all noticed Uchiha Dali and Shisui approaching from the distance.

"Danzo, don't you think you've gone too far this time?"

Utatane Koharu said in a low voice.

Mitokado Homura also turned his head to look at the stern-faced man beside him, whose expression revealed nothing.

The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, had already left for the Daimyo's capital with Minato Namikaze and was not in the village.

As one of the Hokage's advisors, Danzo had naturally assumed a leadership role and now held most of the authority over village affairs.

And it was him who had ordered the suppression of the Uchiha clan's military achievements.

Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu had originally opposed this decision.

The two of them had always been indecisive and hesitant.

"Regardless, the Uchiha clan did have an exceptional performance in this war. They should have received greater recognition and rewards."

"Hiding their contributions like this—if the truth gets out, it won't be good for any of us, Danzo."

Mitokado Homura, an old fox himself, was already distancing himself from the matter before it was even exposed.

Hearing this, Danzo finally spoke.

"You both approved this order as well. Now you're trying to push all the blame onto me?"

"Well, it doesn't matter. I've always been the one to bear the darkness of this village, haven't I?"

"The Uchiha clan has always harbored ambitions, constantly seeking control over Konoha. Looking at things now, the Second Hokage's decision back then was wise—continuously suppressing the Uchiha is the only way to maintain Konoha's stability."

"As long as it ensures the village's peace, I will bear any darkness alone. The Uchiha clan must never be allowed to dominate Konoha."

Danzo's tone was indifferent, emotionless, yet it carried an unmistakable determination—an attitude of facing countless enemies without hesitation.

Hearing this, Koharu and Homura exchanged complicated glances.

"The boy beside Shisui—that's Uchiha Dali, isn't it?"

"They wouldn't have come up here without a reason. What do you plan to do about this?"

Koharu realized that shifting the blame any further was meaningless, so she changed the subject while shifting her gaze downstairs.

Just in time to see Uchiha Dali and Shisui passing through the guards' security checkpoint and entering the building.
