Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 – Why Me Alone

He didn't go to school.

Asahi just walked.

The rain didn't stop.

It soaked his clothes. His skin. His bones.

His body was trembling, but not from the cold.

He didn't feel cold anymore. He didn't feel anything.

His feet carried him forward, but his heart had stayed behind—on that street, in the rain, next to a girl who didn't understand why he broke her.

And then—He arrived.

A place too familiar.Painfully familiar.

The park.

Their park.

The trees swayed violently in the wind. The sky—still dark.Even at 1:00 PM.

The old wooden bridge stretched across the lake, soaked and creaking. The lake itself… still. Too still. As if it, too, was holding its breath.

Asahi sat on the bench.

Slowly.

Like even gravity didn't want him there anymore.

His hair clung to his face, dripping water. His clothes—heavy.Soaked in rain and blood he didn't even realize was his anymore.

His eyes remained open.

Unblinking.Blank.

Staring at the lake like it might whisper answers.

"I have to think…" he mumbled.

His voice was weak.

Then—louder.

"Asahi—THINK, GODDAMN IT!!" he shouted suddenly, gripping the edge of the bench.

"TWO HUNDRED LOOPS!"

"TWO. HUNDRED. FUCKING. LOOPS!"

His voice cracked.

"And I'm still stuck—""…still waking up—""Still haven't even slept—"

His voice dropped.Lower.Quieter.

Colder.

"…Still losing everything…"

Then—He bit his hand.

Hard.

Blood.

"Stay awake, Asahi."

"You sleep, they die."

He looked up.

Rain hit his eyes directly. He didn't flinch.

Just stared at the storm.

"…UA," he whispered."He'll kill them all."

His mind swirled.

The dimensional dream. The curse. The time loop.

"…When it ends," he whispered, "everything ends."

Silence.

Then—

"…To escape the dimensional dream…"

His breath slowed.His hands shook.

"…I have to kill them."

"All of them."

"They just… keep getting created…"

"…One by one."

"…And I have to kill them."

His voice cracked.

His chest hurt.

He held his own body like he was trying to stop it from falling apart.

"UA is one of the main ones…"

"…Defeating him closes the sphere…"

"…So no one can enter again…"

His jaw clenched.

His mind flashed with faces.

Anari.Dad.Mom.

"If I spend time with them…"

"…They forget me."

"…They forget who I am."

"…Every day."

"…Every fucking day."

The rain poured harder.

He smiled—barely.

A broken thing.

"Them hating me…"

"…Is better than asking 'Who are you?'"

"…Better than watching my own mother forget her son…"

His voice dropped.

Dead quiet.

"…I have to save FA."

A pause.

"…And MA…"

Another silence.

The storm screamed around him, but he didn't move.

"I don't even know…" he whispered.

"I don't know who's controlling the dimensional dream."

"I don't know what happened to FA."

"I don't know what happened to MA."

His voice cracked.

Soft. Fractured.

"I don't know…"

"Why it's just me…"

"…Alone."

And for the first time in all 200 loops—

He didn't cry.

He didn't scream.

He just sat there, in the storm—

Suffering in silence.
