Gerald.
Jenna repeated the name of her horror and nightmare again in her mind. The same man she struggled for years to leave, the man that left her with deep scars both mentally, physically, and even sexually. That monster was kneeling beside her, alive and well.
He wasn't withered as Jenna had prayed and wished for; his hands weren't decaying. His eyes were still intact, he could move all his body well, and all his teeth were intact. Not an ounce of suffering did this man show to have, yet he had ruined someone else's life.
"Jenna, didn't know you'd be in a place like this," Gerald cleared his throat and stood up, his height towering over Jenna's own and his body so huge that anyone behind couldn't see Jenna properly. He licked his lips in a very crude manner, scanning Jenna's body like he had some atrocious thoughts going on behind his eyes.
"I knew it won't take long before you crawl back to me, one way or another." Gerald tried to take another step forward, but a knife swooshed past his face and got trapped in the wall, causing the man to jump back out of fear.
"Take another step close to her, and your head won't be missed." Rhane's voice held no emotions, and same for his eyes that narrowed at Gerald.
Jenna, who had covered her eyes when the knife flew across the room, held her chest. Her heart couldn't take everything that was happening at the moment. She was scared, confused, and really angry for different reasons.
"Rhane, it's me." Gerald chuckled nervously. "That's the woman I told you about, the one that will pay for everything. I told you, didn't I?" He touched his groin and grinned like a fool. "How good she is when she is passed out."
Rhane grabbed a knife from Kali's waist to take a step forward, but Kali blocked him first and gave a hard punch in his stomach that caused Gerald to fall back heavily with a loud fart.
"I will escort the man out," Kali suggested without looking at Rhane. She could feel his murderous gaze on her, and she knew it was because she had stopped Rhane from killing yet another person in the most gruesome way.
Kali walked towards where Gerald was groaning and writhing in pain, and she dragged him by the collar.
"Who's out there, come clean this room right now." Kali said as she left the room with Gerald. Two guards rushed inside and cleared the body near the bed. Once they left, they closed the door behind them.
The silence in the room earlier was nothing compared to how frozen the air was at the moment. Jenna had her eyes downcast, her face burning red with shame.
She had been acting like she was everything, mighty, and could never be broken while Gerald had informed every living soul of how he took her. She didn't want to know what else he had told anyone because it would even be more humiliating to think of. And now she's reminded of how little she is, how any man can trample her. She was helpless.
"Jenna, look—"
Defensively, Jenna drew her step back, "Don't come near me!"
Rhane could see the hysterical look on her face. Jenna was going through something at the moment.
"I promise I won't—"
"Stay away!" she screamed with a shaky voice, her eyes dilated and filled with fear and cold. The woman's leg quaked. Picking up a knife from the ground, Jenna held it up. "I'm going to use this if you come any closer."
Rhane tilted his head, "You're going to hurt yourself with- Jenna, stop. Look at me." He couldn't stand around anymore. Jenna wasn't going to stop as she was panicking. And Rhane could tell it was because of Gerald's sudden presence, it had triggered something inside of Jenna.
Rhane took another step despite Jenna's warning, and when he got closer, she raised her hand and struck him with the knife.
Jenna glanced at Rhane's bleeding palm that enclosed the knife, and even when he grabbed it from her hand, her shaky hands couldn't let it go. Jenna realized she had gone far trying to protect herself, she had hurt a person.
"Ssss," Rhane hissed, "That hurt," he muttered, dropping the knife and pushing it with his feet. When he turned, Jenna was on her knees.
"Please don't hurt me..." Jenna's eyes locked on the heavy boots of Rhane, and so many bad memories rushed back to her, like an early morning rain that doesn't stop. "Please...please..."
Rhane opened his mouth and closed it, "I won't, I'll never—"
Jenna raised her face, "I'll do whatever you want."
"You know what I want?" Rhane asked, this time looking confused. "I haven't told you what—"
Jenna stood up and began to undo her buttons, "I'll do as you please and pay back his debts, please don't hit me." Her hands grew even more shaky that she couldn't touch her buttons without trembling.
Rhane closed his eyes and exhaled. He tried so hard to make her get comfortable around him, and everything got lost in one night. If only he hadn't killed in front of her, but he was already triggered with the leash around his neck and couldn't stop the bad memories, and now he had also hurt Jenna.
Trying to reassure her that he wasn't going to hurt her or take his debt by using her body, Rhane made the mistake of taking a step forward, and Jenna shuddered.
"I'm hurrying...please...the buttons...I—" Her eyes darted around as she fearfully undid her shirt and dropped it on the ground, then went forward with her trousers.
Rhane ruffled his hair and exhaled sharply when Jenna removed her trousers and inner wears, leaving her standing bare in front of him.
"I—" Jenna gulped. "I can do better if you don't hit me," Jenna sucked in her breath and got down on her knees, crawling towards Rhane.
With his eyes wide with shock, Rhane rubbed his face. "Jenna, I think you're getting something wrong."
It was already too late. Jenna touched the breeches of his trouser and undid the belt with the speed of a hare. It was as though she was afraid of wasting any more time or she would get hit in the worst way possible. Even with tears in her eyes, she didn't stop.
Rhane was unable to stop himself when Jenna touched his thighs with her soft hands. He got hard, her eyes making it even worse for him. He was ready.
Jenna drew him out and brought the full of Rhane close to her mouth. Rhane froze.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Jenna took her tongue out and shook her head, "Just give me a moment...I need to think...no, just tell me what you want, I can do it. I know I can." She begged him, her shaky hands wrapping him up.
Jenna made another move, opening her mouth wide enough to grab the whole of Rhane, and then her jaw sucked in as she sucked.
"Fuck—" Rhane gasped. He grabbed Jenna's naked shoulder and pushed her back. "Stop. Stop it," he cursed before pulling up his trousers and fastening his belt.
Jenna curled herself on the floor with her hands trying to cover her body, and she gasped for breath. The memories of her past she thought she moved on from was still there lurking in the darkness that wanted to swallow her.
Rhane's jaw ticked. He wanted to pull her close and console her, telling her that he was never going to hit her or treat her like Gerald did, but it was too late. Jenna's idea of him had changed the moment she found out he lied and was linked to her former nightmare.
Removing his jacket, Rhane used it to cover Jenna. He watched her hide herself in it, afraid of raising her face, but she kept mumbling something.
"Don't hit me, please, don't hit me."
Rhane looked around the room. He was still throbbing for her, his hardness wild and fighting behind his trousers, and it made him angry at himself. At Jenna for thinking so little of him. He stormed out of the room and locked the door.
