Chapter 42 - Aunt Sheila

Honestly, she had no idea. Mia had always separated people as good or evil. It was either one of the two sides of her coin but Lucas didn't fit in either of the categories, which was weird in itself. 

"I don't think that it concerns you, Mister Lucas," Mia replied while ignoring the subtle hint of amusement in the eyes of the man. 

Lucas only laughed when he heard her response. He leaned closer to her and then whispered, "You are right, Miss Wills. I admit that you are really right on the point but —" he trailed off and then curled his lips before saying to her, "There is a third reason as well. Do you know that?" 

When she shook her head. He pinched her cheek and stated, "Curiosity. You intrigue me, Miss Wills." 

Mia didn't know what he meant by those words; she blinked her eyes and swatted the cheeky hand that was touching her cheek and questioned, "Why?"
