Inez smiled. "Yes."
"I knew you would be," said Selene as she glanced at Laxus, who sighed in response. He turned to look at Inez before saying to her, "I am glad that you are feeling alright, Inez. We were really worried after what happened last night."
"Well, what can I say? I am hard to kill."
Laxus chuckled appreciatively, but he turned silent when he caught the glare that Killian was sending his way and cleared his throat. He turned to look at Selene and said to her, "Do you need me to stay with you?"
"No, I will be fine. I don't believe that the witches will make a move so soon," remarked Selene as she turned her attention to Inez. "And I believe that we need some girl time. Alone without you men, brooding at the back of our necks."
She paused and turned to look at Killian, who was glowering at them. "And instead of glaring at me, you should be working hard to track down that bastard who tried to kidnap Inez. That would be much more useful than this."
