Dominic paused. He turned and looked at the woman behind him before sighing in exhaustion, "I am not willing to play more of these games with you, Evelyn."
"I am not playing any games," Evelyn said, licking her lips. Her eyes were flickering as she stated in an odd sort of voice, "I knew Inez better than you or the boys did. Even if you grew up with her, I was the one who took her as my rival and always kept a very close eye on her. I can tell things about her that you probably don't even know. I assure you that I am correct."
As she finished speaking, she raised her head with a hopeful look on her face, but the cold and detached expression on Dominic's face turned her heart cold. She knew that he didn't believe a thing that she was saying. Evelyn just knew it. A chill crawled up her spine as she realised that maybe she had filled up the quota of her lies by telling all kinds of lies to Dominic and the boys.
