Isabella was seated in the Costa Organization's meeting room with Nicholas right beside her and both her and his teams that were assigned to the Phoenix project.
It was a meeting regarding the progress of the project, which was originally supposed to be held at the Russo group, but suddenly Nicholas decided to hold it in his company.
And Isabella, without any question, went along with his plan, as she thought there might be a reason for the change.
While in the meeting, Isabella didn't even notice when her mind drifted to her spiraling thoughts. And she only came out of them now as Nicholas's gaze bore into her.
Nicholas had been staring at her from the beginning of the meeting, but Isabella didn't pay much attention to it, as whenever they were together, his gaze always lingered on her.
But now it became impossible to ignore, as with each passing second his gaze grew intense, making every cell in her body aware of it.
