Relief filled Nicholas's heart at the fact that Isabella was ready to confess to him, at the fact that she was finally ready and willing to lean on him. Isabella led Nicholas slowly to the couch in the middle of the room and made him sit there before sitting beside him.
Nicholas gazed at Isabella, waiting for her, as Isabella looked as if she needed a little time to prepare for it. Isabella took a deep breath to gather her thoughts and released it before glancing at Nicholas and finally letting out, her tone low,
"Do you remember the night you found me drugged and saved me from getting raped?"
Nicholas clenched his fist tightly instantly as Isabella's words made him recall the state he found her in that night and that fucker who dared to think he could touch her.
