Chapter 197 - Dimensional Lord's Secret Weapon, Energy Absorption Upgrade!

After a while of conversation, Ego fell into a deep sleep with the help of the Mantis Woman. This was merely a duplication of his original form, and it had its flaws. To return to his peak state, he would need to return to his home planet.

Once Ego had fallen asleep, Gamora and the others hurriedly pulled Star-Lord aside.

"Quill, your father doesn't seem like a good guy," Gamora said seriously. "We need to prepare to face him. If necessary, we may even have to kill him. Don't forget our mission."

Star-Lord was at a loss for words. He stayed silent, lost in thought. Sometimes, life was cruel. Just when he had been imagining the possibility of inheriting god-like powers and surpassing even the God of Magic, his biological father revealed himself to be the villain of the story. His ultimate goal? World destruction.

Now, he was faced with an agonizing decision: either follow Ego down the path of destruction or become the righteous warrior who would one day confront his father. It was a heavy choice.

Though Star-Lord pondered this internally, he couldn't help but feel an uncomfortable tension as Gamora spoke. The reality of patricide loomed over him, and he wasn't ready to accept that.

"The question is, how do we defeat him?" Rocket raised his hand and added, "According to what we've heard, he's a powerful god—stronger than the God of Magic we faced before. Even the King of the Gods in Asgard is just a junior in his eyes."

"How do we fight someone like that?" Rocket's voice trembled slightly with uncertainty.

"I've contacted the God of Magic," Gamora quickly responded, "and he says that Quill can defeat Ego. All he needs to do is use the magic net to absorb energy and continuously drain the origin of the planet. That will weaken Ego enough to take him down."

Star-Lord's eyes widened. "So, I can defeat him, but I'll lose the divine powers from my gene, but I'll still have magic? That means I'll still be strong?"

Gamora nodded. "Yes, you'll be powerful. But first, you need to defeat Ego."

Star-Lord hesitated, torn. "Is this method really reliable? The God of Magic is powerful, but Ego is also a god. He can survive in space without a spacesuit, and he has an infinite lifespan. Do you think the God of Magic can actually defeat him?"

"We don't know for sure," Gamora sighed. "But it's the only option we have. We have to try. Ego despises the God of Magic, and the God of Magic doesn't think much of Ego either. This is a test for both sides."

Hell Dimension

Mephisto let out an earth-shattering scream.

"According to the latest information, the God of Magic has spread his magic net throughout the universe. His power is growing by the day. If we don't act soon, it will be too late for us."

Mephisto paced nervously, deep in thought. "We must act fast and seize the magic net from the God of Magic. If all that power is put into the wrong hands, the boost he'll get will be unimaginable."

Dormammu glared at him angrily. "That's easy to say, but you've been talking about it without offering any real solutions. You're nothing but talk."

"At least I'm not the one who spends every day putting out fires and plugging holes in my own domain," Mephisto shot back, not backing down. "You're the most scheming devil, but you're not getting anything done."

Dormammu responded with only a cold snort.

Among them, Dormammu was the most frustrated. His dark domain had become a prime target for the Mages, and although he'd managed to fend them off, the cumulative damage was substantial. The loss of energy was mounting, and he was eager to break into the real universe to wreak havoc on the Mages who had caused him so much trouble.

Meanwhile, Dimensonal Lords, who had grown accustomed to the constant bickering, tried to remain unnoticed. She had the calmest demeanor of all. The stronger Aaron became, the happier she was, though she knew that a new battle was inevitably on the horizon.

"This time, I used the Purple Dimension to bring in a newcomer. By the way, you're familiar with the secret guest," Mephisto remarked to the other Dimensional Lords after delivering his harsh words to Dormammu.

"He used to serve under Belasco, a demon named Nastil. Surely, you remember him?"

Dimensional Lord's expression changed slightly. She thought of the demon leader who had once followed her as a subordinate. She had assumed he had perished on the battlefield, but now it seemed he had survived, and judging by his appearance, he had become much stronger.

"I know him. What's the issue with him?" Dimensional Lord's face remained neutral.

Mephisto grinned. "Nastil brought something interesting back with him. Maybe, just maybe, he could help us cause some trouble for the real universe."

After the Dimensional Lords meeting, the secret agent briefed Aaron about everything. When he learned about the secret weapon Nastil had brought, Aaron thought for a moment before shaking his head and dismissing the notion.

"There's always a solution to every problem. As long as our strength grows, no secret weapon will matter," Aaron replied calmly.

He wasn't worried about what Nastil brought. If it were truly powerful, it wouldn't be under the control of Moto and the others. Instead of focusing on their secret weapon, Aaron was more concerned with increasing his own strength.

His power had grown again—this time, he wasn't prioritizing his pocket space. Instead, he was enhancing his Energy Absorption.
