Chapter 95 - Chapter 96-next step

The night was so silent that it seemed like the whole world had been swallowed by darkness. The sky, a deep ink-black, was weighed down by heavy clouds, obscuring all starlight, and the entire night seemed to suffocate under its own weight. The air carried a damp, earthy smell, as if the ground itself were drawing in a deep breath, waiting for something.

Harvey stood by the glass window of his apartment, hands in his pockets, staring out into the darkness. Inside, the room remained pitch black, blending with the outside night, as though time and space had been consumed, and his very existence was being swallowed by this inky void.

The sound of light footsteps broke the stillness, and then, a pair of hands slipped around his waist from behind, passing through his arm. The movement was careful, but couldn't mask the tremor of yearning that lingered, as if a hidden beast were silently approaching.
