Because of the existence of the commissioning agency,

in the New World, Ayr could speak a word and mobilize countless forces.

He had built an exceptionally strong personal relationship network!

"So, what exactly do you want to say, Roger?" Ayr asked calmly, his tone as flat as still water.

"We've been quite interested in the Poneglyphs lately, but..." Roger paused, scratching the back of his head. "This stuff is extremely hard to find."

"So, I was hoping to use your personal network to help me locate a Poneglyph." Roger said sincerely.

"Of course, I'm not asking you to find all of them. As long as you can find just one piece for me..." Roger smiled.

Not long after the Battle of the Valley of the Gods, Roger had accidentally encountered a Poneglyph.

That single encounter awakened a deep curiosity about the Void Century hidden within the historical texts.

However, finding the Poneglyphs was extremely difficult, scattered as they were in secret corners across the world.

Naturally, Roger wasn't planning to burden Ayr with finding all the world's Poneglyphs.

He only needed Ayr to find one.

"So, you want to cash in the favor I owe you to accomplish this?" Ayr asked lightly.

Their bond came from that day at the Valley of the Gods.

Ayr owed Roger a life debt.

If Roger wanted to entrust something to him in return for that favor, Ayr wouldn't charge anything else.

"Of course not. You owe me a favor, and I might need it for something more important later." Roger chuckled, shaking his head lightly.

Then he gave a small hand signal to the crew behind him.

"Bring it over."

Hearing Roger's command, a few of his pirates moved forward, carefully carrying several heavy treasure chests.

With a click, the chests opened — revealing four gleaming Devil Fruits inside.

"These four Devil Fruits are the payment for your help, Ayr," Roger said, his tone serious.

He knew very well: to ask Ayr to move, a reward was necessary.

The commissioning agency Ayr had founded existed for precisely this kind of high-level deal.

"Then I'll accept this mission." Ayr grinned as he eyed the four Devil Fruits.

Right now, even a single Devil Fruit could be exchanged in the Shinigami World for advanced powers like Hadō spells in the mall.

And Roger had brought him four.

Timing couldn't have been more perfect!

"Hahaha, straightforward! I like it!" Roger threw his head back and laughed heartily.

Ayr stored the Devil Fruits and then casually asked:

"But by the way, have you been to Sky Island, Roger?"

In Ayr's previous godlike perspective, he clearly remembered that the Roger Pirates would one day reach Sky Island, where they found a Poneglyph.

However, in the current timeline, Ayr didn't know whether Roger had made that journey yet.

"Sky Island?" Roger blinked, then shook his head slightly. "I've heard of it, but I haven't gone there."

Recently, Roger had been obsessively searching for Poneglyphs across the seas, without any time for fanciful adventures like traveling to floating islands.

"In that case, it seems this commissioned task is about to be completed immediately." Ayr smirked slightly.

If Roger hadn't been to Sky Island yet, that meant he hadn't discovered the Poneglyph there either.

For now, only Ayr himself knew of its existence.

"Oh? What do you mean, Ayr?" Roger asked with a hint of curiosity.

"There's a Poneglyph on Sky Island."

Roger's eyes widened in shock, and he instantly stood up from his seat.

He hadn't expected that after paying Ayr, he would immediately be handed the information he sought most!

"Seriously?" Roger's voice was filled with anticipation.

"Of course." Ayr spread his hands casually. "Since you've paid me, why would I lie to you?"

"You bastard, you work faster than anyone I've ever seen!" Roger couldn't help but click his tongue.

Of course, Roger didn't doubt Ayr's words.

He had just handed over four Devil Fruits as payment — there was no reason for Ayr to deceive him.

"Then, aside from asking me to find the Poneglyph, was there anything else you needed today, Roger?" Ayr asked.

After all, the coordinates were given, the Devil Fruits accepted, and the first entrusted task was complete.

If there were no other matters, they could simply drink and chat before parting ways.

"To be honest..." Roger scratched his head again. "There's another thing we wanted to ask your help with."

"But..." Roger's expression turned somewhat embarrassed.

"Our Roger Pirates don't have any more Devil Fruits to pay you with. So I wanted to use the favor you owe me instead."

Hearing that, Ayr's expression became more solemn.

Devil Fruits were indeed one of the world's greatest treasures — rare beyond belief.

Even sailing through the Grand Line for years, Roger's crew had only managed to gather four.

Thus, if Roger wanted to entrust another task, he could only use the favor from the Valley of the Gods.

"Of course." Ayr nodded without hesitation.

He was someone who knew the weight of gratitude and loyalty.

Roger had fought beside him that day, saving his life —

repaying that favor was only natural.

"Recently...Shiki has set his sights on us Roger Pirates." Roger's eyes narrowed.

"I need your help to deal with him."

Although Roger didn't fear Shiki, the Golden Lion, he also didn't want to engage in unnecessary wars now.

The Roger Pirates' main goal was to search for Poneglyphs and uncover the history of the Void Century.

If Shiki provoked them, large-scale war would break out!

And facing the Flying Pirates — a massive fleet of floating battleships — even Roger's crew would suffer serious losses.

Ayr lightly rubbed his chin in thought for a few seconds, then nodded.

"Shiki? No problem."

If nothing unexpected happened without his intervention...

Soon, the legendary Battle of Edd War (Ait Wall) would break out!

Originally, in the canonical history, the battle never truly happened.

A sudden storm shattered the Golden Lion's fleet before a full clash could erupt.

The storm also drove a ship's rudder into Shiki's head, leaving him permanently maimed.

But now — in this altered world where Ayr existed —

many events no longer followed the original timeline.

Ayr's mere presence had caused countless butterfly effects to ripple through history.

Just because the battle hadn't happened in the original story...

didn't mean it wouldn't break out now.

This time, if Shiki attacked Roger seriously,

Ayr would stand in the way!

Not for profit, not for glory —

only to quickly repay Roger's favor.

He hated owing debts.
