"This monster... Ayr even has the power to resurrect the dead! No one knows the true limit of his strength now. So—our only option is to escape!" shouted a panicked pirate.

"Captain Rocks," Byrnndi Wald began, his voice low and deliberate, "if you truly intend to become the ruler of this world again, then you must abandon old grudges. Ayr may have brought you back, but he's the only obstacle in your path now."

The moment those words left his mouth, many of the pirates who had hesitated began to act. They threw down their weapons, terror in their eyes, and bolted in every direction, desperate to escape the storm gathering before them.

Seeing this, Ochoku stepped forward, lowering his head with a forced show of respect. "Captain Rocks... though we once betrayed you, we still honor your name. We're willing to serve under you again!"

But deep down, he knew that Rocks had never been one to forgive betrayal.

Ayr, still calm and unreadable, stood silently beside Rocks, the sea wind tugging at his coat. He had made no move, but the pressure from both he and Rocks was overwhelming. The air felt like it was about to shatter.

"Captain Rocks," John added hurriedly, "we've united this time only to deal with Ayr. If you choose not to intervene, or better, aid us—then once it's over, we'll swear allegiance to you once more!"

Their desperation hung thick in the air.

But Rocks said nothing. He only glanced at them, amused.

Silver Axe, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke, his voice trembling. "Even if Ayr was the one who revived you... he's still an obstacle, isn't he? Join us. We stand a better chance together."

"Hmph... You all think I'd ally with the same cowards who abandoned me at the Valley of the Gods?" Rocks sneered. "Do you think I've forgotten that day?"

A violent gust of Haki radiated from him, making the earth tremble.

"You speak of domination," Rocks continued, his tone shifting, almost reflective. "Back then, when I was struck down... my ambition to rule the world was buried with me. Even now, having returned from death, that desire hasn't rekindled."

He paused, a smile playing on his lips.

"But hearing you speak such nonsense... saying I could still dominate the world... it does stir something."

Byrnndi Wald's eyes lit up. "Yes! Captain Rocks! If you join us—Shiki, Kaido, even Big Mom will follow you again. With our strength, the sea would be yours!"

But Rocks let out a cold laugh.

"You underestimate Ayr. You think six of you are enough?" He turned his gaze to the pirates behind Byrnndi Wald. "You came with thousands of elite pirates... and already most of them are running like dogs."

He raised his sword.

In the next instant, a slash of blinding energy erupted from his blade—piercing the sky, splitting the land, and cutting down hundreds of fleeing pirates in one motion.

Cries of horror followed.

"You dare abandon your captain? You're no different from the trash that left me behind back then!" Rocks roared, eyes blazing.

Chaos broke out. Some pirates screamed, some fell to their knees, and others simply froze in place.

"Do you still think you can escape from two monsters?" Byrnndi Wald growled at his remaining forces. "Fight! If we fall, we all die!"

"Join hands with us, Rocks!" John begged again. "Ayr is the only one standing in your way!"

Rocks eyed him, silent.

Ochoku added quickly, "We've all grown stronger since that day. With your power leading us, there's no one in this world who can stop you!"

A glimmer of conflict passed through Rocks' gaze. He looked at Ayr. The man who brought him back. The man who stood silently, unshaken, even with enemies closing in.

"…You fools still don't understand," Rocks finally said, his voice calm now. "The one who will dominate this sea... is not me."

That stunned everyone.

Before they could process his meaning, another slash exploded out from his blade, cutting down more would-be escapees like paper.

"Get out of my sight. Or die where you stand."

Silver Axe paled. John and Ochoku exchanged looks of panic. Even Byrnndi Wald was taken aback.

They had miscalculated.

Rocks, for all his arrogance and overwhelming power, had made his choice.

He would not betray the man who brought him back.

And that meant one thing.

They had no allies. And no way out.
